Bedford MK Build

The story of a ex UN Bedford MK rescued from the indignity of the breakers yard in 1984. It was then upcycled and repurposed with lashings of yellow JCB paint for a Africa Access Trans African Expedition, a 6 month journey that presented it and the adventurous passenger complement with many challenges.
Somebody gave me a model of the MK for Christmas so here is the resultant mash up video that I created further to modifying and building the kit in an Expedition overlanding format. Such are the things we get up to as we await the return of tourism.
As it happened Bedford lost the supply contract for the MK Series truck to its competitor Leyland in 1986...... a bit of transport history. Sure the big wheels keep on turning.
