Les filles qui roulaient, à ce moment , étaient beaucoup moins nombreuses qu'aujourd'hui, surtout sur l'international

Firstly brilliant, whenever feeling a bit low I can pick any one of these videos and reminisce, them trucks seem like two minutes ago and can picture the cab interiors and could just jump in and do it all over again,, I would even take a set of ropes and sheets just one more time ,looking back at the little volvo f86s, surprised how small they were yet done a cracking job ,in me head im in me 143 ,destinations unknown, keep these videos coming they do ex drivers a world of good , they all seem happy memories but they are looking through rose tinted glasses,
Cheers mate, they do me a world of good , now its time for me to truck off and have a beer , ,,, thumbs up from me 👍👍👍👍,

This is well cool Thank you. Some of them remind me of my 1st job working in a privately owned tyre distribution centre. Eventually in the mid 80's I was promoted to foreman and so had to open up the yard for all the drivers to ready thier trucks for their runs. We had a Seddon Atkinson 16 ton lorry and drawbar and the other main vehicle was another Seddon Atkinson Artic. Boy when these beasts started up on a cold morning we'd get lost in all the fumes and vapour. They would both painfully chugg into mlife. How i didnt get lung cancer I don't know. We also had an old Bedford I think which needed an aerosol of some kind of starter mix put into its engine. If anyone could clarify this for me I`d be grateful. The drivers loved their trucks and cared for them as if they were their homes. They used to refer the SA`s to as "Seddy-Acks" (excuse the spelling) How things have changed. Another memory in cold weather wa my Dad putting a small lamp under the engine overnight. This sounds crazy nowadays but a lot of people did this when it went really cold. Jocks truck stop...Yeah!

I look your vidéos everytime, always I see an English with a Trailor, it makes me happy because they were coming from my région. Nice Berliet at 6⁰⁵,Just after there a blue and orange Renault of Jean-Pierre Vincent from Moirands F 39. At the 11³⁹,I think the Unic is one of Transports Couchet from Saint-Étienne F42.

Cracking video, reminds me colleague's now no longer with us , I started driving at the ripe age of 21, looking back I wish I followed my dreams of an owner driver, so much I wanted to do , done the occasional wide load or long loads under police escort but always fancied a crack at f he super heavys , even a stint of continental was on my wish list , mind you some of the horror stories from the continent put me off, now time passed me somewhere on the road, now I find myself retired, ,had a scanny113 lined up at crick to purchase but me arse fell out and never d proceeded, still I can say I had the pleasure of driving hgv, s, mind you I wasnt to keen in 1988 when the wind got good hold and flipped me on the 62,,, 😂😂, I can say I did do that, but that wasnt on myto do list ,😂😂, tomorrow s another day of dreams and memories, keep up the good work with the slideshows, appreciated 👍👍

Richtig!

5:04 These Steyr were perfectly good lorries. Too bad that the Transcontinental already started to rust in the brochure.
11:51That AEC with the sleeper-cab really is an eye-catcher.

Wrestling with one of those Atkinson borderer’s on a daily bases must help keep the weight of the driver. So much so that he might even fit in the bunk behind the seat

Never see Barbour European in these compilations. Best livery on the road until they joined the Giraud group.

Sad to note only 3 or 4 British made trucks
We seem to have all the brains but none of the money
All the forgiven manufactory should never have got such a foothold
