I felt the episode was gripping despite the confusing elements. The Ruby mystery has me hooked very closely. And, can't wait to see what happens next. 😄
Nice hot takes. Yes, this episode gripped me until credits rolled but then I was frustrated due to elements not being explained. I was enjoyable even if it was a typical RTD magic bullshit reset at the end. Not sure it will stand up to re-watches. I'm willing to let things go until end of season in case some elements get explained in the Ruby mystery.
I think that’s very fair. More about Ruby is going to be unpacked, we just have to wait and see if it relates to any of these earlier stories when it does.
Really enjoyed the episode, some great concepts but at the end like both of you I was sat scratching my head.
The end definitely seems to show Ruby dying, then the old person turns up who is also Ruby making me wonder if there are different timelines mingling somehow.
If the old Ruby was going around then it does possibly give some credence to the theory that Ruby is her own parent, somehow going back in time and leaving Ruby
@@jack.harper there's also a theory floating around that all the forth wall breaks are actually because they are on a fictionalised version of the show.
Not sure what I'd think of that though.
I thought I heard spirit Ruby warn Ruby about the circle even though like yourselves the Doctor did not appear to hear her. ps only watched it once and could be mistaken.

I'd like to see harry Edward melling or ty tennant play next doctor who because they are grandchildren of peter davison and Patrick troughtion after ncuti leave the show?& Ruby might be Susan biological granddaughter?

I can't even think of what there would be in the episode to be furious at...? But TH-camrs are a funny bunch. You have those who decided two years ago, when Ncuti was cast, what they already thought of this series before it existed. Let me say it plainly; some TH-camrs are basically nuts and/or doing it for the clicks. And before someone decides I'm a shill for the new content, let me say that I would FULLY understand someone being furious at the first or second episode this season. But the third or fourth? I really can't. I have nothing.
