I say to check the codes, if it’s just a misfire check the plugs & coils. If it keeps misfiring there’s not much else you could do other than injectors. That is if it’s the only code, if the only code is a misfire. If there’s something really wrong with the engine I’m guessing there will be more than one related code. If your car won’t shift as you drive it could be that your car is in limp mode maybe, that would indicate a more serious issue. If anything take it to a mechanic to diagnose the issue then figure out with you can fix it yourself.
@@onenoobonecar1331 yeah I just changed plugs and coils today it still showing the code but I also have a code for engine coolant temperature so I got that part I still have to replace to see if that does it. After I changed plugs and coils it’s running better and I’m not getting any of misfires so far.
A fellow car noobie CLANKER ! I replace all spark plugs w Iridium Plugs. Lesson I learned to minimize the Pain on replacing Dodge Ram V-8 HEMI spark plugs. And NIKAL pure nickel, extreme-temp, anti-seize Lub on Brake Bleeder Valves
How good are the Iridium plugs?? I don’t remember what type of plugs I put on mine but it’s been running fine since I replaced the plugs and coils Edit: yes sir it turns out that I did put iridium spark plugs in my car, the NGK laser iridium plugs
Yes and no, I knew going in that the common causes of misfires were spark plugs, coils and then injectors. After that yea I just threw stuff at it and see what stuck. If replacing the coils didn’t work I would’ve gone to the injectors. I’m pretty sure there must be some diagnostics tests you could do with special tools to check which coil or injector is broken (if any) but that’s beyond me.
Subbed, Clank!
Clank!!!
Having the exact same issue but no car shifting back and fourth while driving
