06:01 how did you the that off. I couldn't tell what you called it, but it's like the lower half of the block, or an upper oil pan. Mine won't come off, I don't think it's just the silicone holding it. I got the oil filter nut off, dipstick tube out, bell housing bolts off for that piece, I got a block of wood and broke loose the side by the timing chain, but it's not coming off. I'm working on it in the car still with the transmission still attached. Like you did
You will se them in the small gap between the pan and the transmission. You have one in the front and one in the back and both on the side of the transmission.
You have to detached from the silicone, that it is a pain, and then you have to wiggle it around and in the transmission side it is a pin that is not doing to let you take the pan out. The only way is to get a grinder and cut it. As soon as you cut it the pan will fall down. Then I installed without the pin. If not you will have to take the engine out.
Check for compression to see if it has a bent valve. If that is the case you have to take the head to de Machinshoop. Anyway I wold take the head to the Machinshoop for cleaning and inspection.
I googled “Hyundai oem parts “ and bought it oem. Online www.ebay.com/itm/154718906791?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=zJKLsTmmRqS&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=9fD-Wxc3TvW&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
Where are you at I have the same issue changed the rod bearing but noticed so much slack in the timing chain I would rather pay you to do this job at this point .
That's where i live years back. I'm having same problem with my engine lol. I just literally heard the pistons clunking. So they made bad ones period should i go for high performance parts?
I took the oil pan out and check the connecting rods bearings and they were ok but still have the play and the sound comes out from the upper part of the engine. So I took them out and found the play on the piston pins.
Most of the time is problems with oil starvation so the solenoid is clogged or something. If your oil change is over do, change the oil first with the correct viscosity oil and tested. If the problem persist you will have to take the valve cover of the engine to check if it has sludge acumulación and if you do you will have tried to clean as much as you can including the solenoid. If none of that works then change the solenoid.
Hello am replacing my head gasket but I messed up and didn't check where the MLA's before taking them apart. Do you have any suggestions or what happens if they are interchangeable?
How much did the parts cost? My car is doing the same thing, I may attempt this so I don’t have to buy a new car. Also where did you get the parts & which parts were needed? Thanks.
Hot work I would like to learn from you I have hundai lovaster 2013 I bey the car from someone 1 months ago right now I have problem my son him driving on highway after that p 300 P304 P301 thank you you show everything
Hello boss loved this video im having the same problem with my engine can you please guide me on the name of the parts i need to order and where you got them? the exact same parts you got
This happened to my 2000 Tiburon fresh bearings now I’m good but why do these Veloster burn so much oil then you don’t realize ? Just happened to my friends 2019 Veloster
Somehow your channel just popped-up on my TH-cam feed, and I love it. Your detail is awesome! I will keep watching. 🙂👍🏼

No it has 2 pines and you will have to cut them with a thing grinding wheel.
@@PIBRACINGCHANNEL where are they located?
You will se them in the small gap between the pan and the transmission. You have one in the front and one in the back and both on the side of the transmission.
How did you get the upper oil pan off!?! I'm battling with mine now the rtv might as well be glue

@@PIBRACINGCHANNEL Thanks I looked online and I see the dowel your talking about I just gotta figure out how imma cut it
Yes
@@PIBRACINGCHANNEL did you separate the transmission at all to get to the pin or dowel?
Any recommendations on aftermarket pistons??
That will depend on what do you what to do with the car. Oem all the time.
Hola!
How many miles where on the car?
Gracias!
Este tenia 150,000 millas
DO you recommend change the Rod too??? or just the Piston Pin??
Both
The pistons pin create damage on the rods so it is recommended to change both parts
How did you support the front of motor? I started on mine but I have to remove the engine mount to get timing cover off
With a Jack-stand but when I took the head end everything of it is lighter and you can let it rest on the mount but preferably the jack-stand.
Did your car have misfire codes before? Wondering if mine is too far gone to do a rebuild.
No it wasn’t. It was making like a valves latch were out of adjustment.
Check for compression to see if it has a bent valve. If that is the case you have to take the head to de Machinshoop. Anyway I wold take the head to the Machinshoop for cleaning and inspection.
Where did you get the parts from I can't find any rebuild kits for my 2016 Veloster turbo
I googled “Hyundai oem parts “ and bought it oem. Online

Whats the name of the part the crank shaft senor goes in mines snapped
That is the bottom part of the block but is not sold separately.
@PIBRACINGCHANNEL meant the top one under the valve cover that sits above the camshaft cap I found it. Some adaptor assembly
Nice work.
Thanks!
Where are you at I have the same issue changed the rod bearing but noticed so much slack in the timing chain I would rather pay you to do this job at this point .
I’m in Kissimmee.
I tried already :( no answer

I have a 2013 Veloster. It doesn't knock but. I would like to replace the internal engine parts. How much would you charge to do the work for me ?
Sorry man but right now don’t have the time and space to do it.
What size socket was used on the oil filter shaft
where do you buy all the new parts to restore that engine. Thank you
Some parts on ebay ,the pistons and gaskets I google oem hyundai parts and a dealer came out and ordered it.
Bro, do you have a clip of the noise?? I'm trying to see if it's the same one my veloster is making.
Sorry no but it sounds like a cat with bad lifters
How did you figure out the pistons needed changed?
I took the oil pan out and check the connecting rods bearings and they were ok but still have the play and the sound comes out from the upper part of the engine. So I took them out and found the play on the piston pins.
Hi whats the cost for a repairs like this?
Including the labor more or less around the $2,000
Hello man, great work and video. will you be uploading the follow up video? my car has the same issue.
Yes I will in the next few days
@@PIBRACINGCHANNEL Thank you so much man. I live in the Netherlands but can’t find a good rebuild kit. Do you have any suggestions where I can get it?
I bought everything online. You just Googled Hyundai oem parts and a lot of sites will come out. I check all of them.

@@PIBRACINGCHANNEL thank you man, highly appreciated. love ur work btw u make it look so easy which i'm sure isnt :)
hey man i got a p0014 code, camshaft bank one. do you think it could be just the cam solenoid

Hello am replacing my head gasket but I messed up and didn't check where the MLA's before taking them apart. Do you have any suggestions or what happens if they are interchangeable?
You are supposed to put it back in the same spot but if they are hydraulic, wish I think they are, they will adjust themselves.
Did you ever take out the engine or you did it thru the bay?
How much did the parts cost? My car is doing the same thing, I may attempt this so I don’t have to buy a new car. Also where did you get the parts & which parts were needed? Thanks.
The price will depend on the brand of the parts. If they are OEM it will cost a bit, around 2 to 300 box. I bought the parts online.
Great 👍
