    Great judge, compassionate when needed. Hard as nails when needed, and without an ego, like many judges.
    I wish there were more judges like her. The world would be a much better place

    When I found out we were expecting our first kid, I was a little nervous but excited. I never once even imagined that 36 years later, our kid would be a junkie / felon still living at home.... with HER kids that she can't support. That's just heartbreaking for everyone around her.

    Judge Boyd 💞💞💞 is about the best Judge I've found on TH-cam.
    I agree with the way she doesn't insult or belittle people before her.
    Her Probation Requirements are tough...but every single requirement is to help you succeed in Life.
    When you pass Felony Drug Court... she's at your Graduation...when you succeed she gives you the recognition you deserve.
    If only America had more than just one of her...we'd be better off.

      You’re right! I worked what I thought was a lowly manufacturing job. When I became disabled, it took them 3 people to replace me. I went in to gather my belongings and caught my supervisor doing a job. He was doing it wrong, and I was able to tell him how to fix it so it wouldn’t get returned from our government. Too late, I discovered I had been important. No one ever told me until the day I had to leave on disability.

    Yeah, this is interesting because she’s trying to keep this lady out of prison who is admittedly already on probation, not recording, etc., and there was that girl the other day who was honest and came to the court for her sentencing day say that she was using that was like her first offense And the judge put her in prison for six years. The girl wanted to go to treatment, the girl wanted to improve her life, and she was being honest and everything and the judge boom put her in jail. This judge judge Boyd. And I’m like why would she do that? Now I see this girl and everyone’s putting nova backwards to help this person and she doesn’t care so I don’t understand what the differences are.just my observation

    • @heyitsMD
      @heyitsMD หลายเดือนก่อน +6

      The difference is probation versus deferred adjudication. People on deferred take a gamble because they’re not sentenced yet - they don’t have a plea deal that someone on probation likely has. So when they mess up, the sentence is entirely up to the judge’s discretion and they can be sentenced up to the maximum that the law allows. The trade off is if they follow the rules, they will not have a conviction at the end of their deferred adjudication.

    • @MarySmith-lk4ss
      @MarySmith-lk4ss หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@heyitsMDtwo totally different situations, there was a history with the previous person that receives 6 years, and she only brought up that she wanted help at her sentencing despite judge Boyd asking her multiple times before that.

    • @CourtCamTV911
      @CourtCamTV911  หลายเดือนก่อน +5

      You need to remember the nature of the offense. Also, this wasn't a motion to revoke, only a compliance hearing. Meaning, prosecutor or PO didn't file for her revocation.

    • @DeeDeeUnlimited
      @DeeDeeUnlimited หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      All cases are different. It depends on the charges. Sometimes, the judge can give options. Sometimes, she can't. Usually, she will give people a chance once, but if you come back again, she will send you to jail/prison.
