Nice review! Didn't realize that Qantas operates a domestic flight in the United States Seems like Qantas would be a greater option on this route compared to other US carriers :D
hopefully the A380 is one of the refurbished A380's with the newer cabin. It would suck for the business class passengers to have inconsistent product on the two planes especially for someone from NY flying to Australia with Qantas
I've never understood the appeal of priority board on a plane - it's not going to depart any faster, and the earlier you do board, the more you have to endure other people climbing over you and fiddling abourd the cabin while you're sitting there.
We are travelling the same way. Can you please describe what to do step by step when landing in LAX to when you board the connecting flight? You say it is stressful? Do you have to run from place to place? Thanks
Was this a transfer flight that was a continuation to a long haul? Because isn’t Qantas Airlines usually only in route to Australia or across Australia?
This is a connecting flight only open to QF passengers coming in from Australia (and New Zealand?) via LAX who are continuing to JFK. It is not available for sale to the general public as Qantas can’t sell tickets for trips solely within the USA.
Cool video. we're flying on one of these Perth to London end of year. shown me what to expect.
Thanks for posting. I really enjoyed this video. Straight to the point without the waffle about first class. Great.
Thanks for watching!
Such a busy qantas bird...constantly flying in amercian sky! :)
Yes!
Thank you. Really useful
10:29 - My apologies we were actually landing on runway 4R, thanks @Clarence
I spy 3 a380's during taxi one of which I will by flying in in Business class in February next year.
Real origin in Australia is Melbourne
Really like your videos.
Nice videos! With so much Qantas content (which I watch) I'm surprised I never found any of your videos before..
Nice video mate! This and the A380 were so enjoyable to watch 👍🏼
One World Flyer thanks for watching! These are nothing compared to your videos 😂
Nice one , I like your style , good editing ... a vlog star of the future perhaps ... good luck and always enjoy
Peter Kelly thanks very much. New flight reviews of American Carriers coming soon

Isaacflyaway unfortunately you cannot just purchase that domestic leg, it has to be combined with long haul Australia to Lax leg.
You can't fly from LAX to NY as a domestic traveller. It has to be an international connecting flight.
It's a transit connection flight only for Qantas passengers connecting from Australia arriving on the same day.
Excellent review of the Flying Kangaroo!!
🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷 Ainda tem voos da Qantas de Los Angeles para Nova York para os passageiros que viajam entre a Austrália & Nova York ???
As long as no one puts their seats fully back in front of you.

I agree, in many cases it’s useless. I only use it on Qantas to get video of the cabin. On any domestic US flight I am one of the last to board

Great video....but just an FYI.....the runway you actually landed on on was 4R.
yikes... 😬😬 my bad. Thanks for letting me know
How did you know?
@@GabeAnderso At JFK, there are wetlands near runway 4L/4R and you can see the wetlands at 10:19.
Thats what she said

This was a continuation of three flights from Australia

Is it possible to fly this route like a domestic transcontinental flight? Or do you have to fly on a previous leg from Australia?
BB1349 you have to be coming from Australia on qantas
Which plane did you prefer the A380 or the 787?
Same question
787 :)
Boeing 787-9 might be too big to fly from Los Angeles to New York but not certain
They used to fly a 747-400 on this. The plane originated in Australia and they need a plane big enough to make it from Australia
Do you go through immigration etc in LAX, meaning it is essentially a domestic flight into NY, or am I mistaken?
Matthew Edwards you are correct, the process in la is stressful and difficult but allows us to leave the airport when we get to jfk with no stress
236 seats are very friendly.
pretty premium options for a 787
@@NewYorkAviation Although China Southern 787-9 has 298 seats, it still has 81cm for legroom.
Yuck , they didn't clean the tray table ?
" Before TOO long" and not "to long" , please. Makes a big difference in meaning.
The food looked crappy except for the cake....
The cake was the best part!
How tall are you..?
Only ate half the meal & a "WELL DONE QANTAS"??
The food was good. I just wasn’t that hungry because I had breakfast 3 hours earlier on the mel to lax flight. And it was 3am in Australia
