I just watched this as I reminisced about being on the same flight 3 years ago this week. And we live in Geelong so the start was fun/relevant for me... although we get on at Nth Geelong. How I miss travel & can’t wait until we can do it again.

I sure hope I get to fly on one of those big beasts some day. I was on a 747 from Heathrow to Montreal back in 1980, but a trip on an A380 has been near the top of my bucket list for a long time now.

Thanks for this. We had the same seat as you back in 2012. The food was much better then as well. The crew fed us a lot including mid trip snacks like pizza and ice cream 🍦

I had a business class ticket booked on Qantas from Melbourne to Singapore due to leave in April this year. I saved years for it and was counting down the days to departure. Then COVID-19 hit ☹️. Who knows when we can travel again now - seems a long way off. I was hoping to rebook for 2021 but it’s more likely best to wait for 2022. Who would have thought the world would have come to this? I certainly didn’t. Better to be safe than sorry though - but I can’t wait to experience the excitement of travel again! When was this by the way?

Well done mate, have watched this report a few times now. We had seats in row 36 economy on the Upper Deck in 2019 to L.A & they were fantastic seats. I'm sure that economy seating has now ceased on the Upper Deck with Business & Premium Economy now. Can't wait to fly back in 2023 but have booked a small trip to Honolulu (Jetstar) in August 2022 as we are hopeful that Covid crap from Australian Governments will be a thing of the past. Gee, i really miss the beautiful A380, best plane in the sky!

I was about to comment that the seat looks wider but I was quite surprised to read it was only 17.5” wide. That’s a tight fit! 😒

If you were down stairs and your in the wing you cannot see very much becuse the wing of a380 is tilt
