Awesome to hear! Investing in quality does pay off when it comes to sound detail and clarity. It's such a rewarding experience when you find that perfect gear that enhances your setup.
I've been using the Ananda Nano with Oratorys EQ and Xduoo XD-05 Pro with Sparkos SS3602 op-amp chips and ESS dac chip. Currently waiting for the R2R dac chip to be released from Xduoo to install on the Xd-05 Pro. But this combo so far. It really is impressive how much quality you get from the sound considering price. With EQ and a good dac/amp that provides good clean power. You get about 94% of what the Arya Organic can do. Yes the Arya Organic will have slightly larger staging, slightly more detail etc. But it's not a huge amount. Considering the Nano gives 94% of what the Organic can do. Now compare it to headphones like the Meze 109 Pro, Focal Clear OG/MG, Audeze LCD-X 2021........ My personal pick. Ananda Nano 😁
That's a fantastic setup! The Ananda Nano really does punch above its weight, and with the right DAC/amp combo, it can surprise a lot of people. Excited to hear how the R2R chip works out for you!
How about the Arya Stealth? People say it's more refined - I could only test them for a short time and found the Nano to be have more slam whereas the Arya Stealth sound more airy but thinner too. Run both with the Oratory EQ and found the Arya Stealth to be sibilant in the highs.
It is indeed more refined, but it has a different tuning. The Arya Stealth, when driven properly (and it needs a bit more power than the Ananda Nano) should be less bright and fuller.

Hi, no worries, I can help you out! The soundstage's total width is a tad bit wider on the Ananda Nano, but what it does much better is placing sounds inside of the given soundstage. The imaging is much better and more precise. Instrument separation is about on pair. Headphones from HiFiMan at this price point can't do much better (meaning they're already very very good) For the clarity the Ananada Nano slightly outperforms the Edition XS, partly due to its more bright-leaning tonal balance, but the Edition XS won't leave you craving for more, it's also a very clarity focused headphone. Vocals are a bit dry on the Edition XS, they aren't on the Ananda Nano. On The Nano they also pop more from the mix and are more forward - that's a preference thing. The dynamics is what the Ananda Nano does MUCH better. It has a significantly thinner diaphragm and is more sensitive.
@@TheAudioStuffThanks for the really detailed response! Will be subscribing. @@Enzo_560 Thanks so much for checking out my other videos! I'd be glad to help you out even further, by clarifying some stuff. The Ananda Stealths's stage is not smaller than the XS. It's about on pair, maybe ever so slightly better - but that's arguable. Neither is particularly wide, but they're both for sure wider than something like the HD660. Super nice stage width is what you're getting mostly with the Arya and above. The Ananda Stealth is definitely more punchy than the Edition XS. That's the first thing I noticed after trying it. Its bass is clearly more extended, faster and better controlled than on the Edition XS (which has a slow roll-off).
