I love the Ananda Nano, I'd take them over the Audeze LCD-X 2021/M500, Focal Clear/Clear MG and others. Truly insane price to performance. They give you 90% - 92% of what the Arya Organic gives. So considering the Arya Organic performs in a slightly higher price category when compared to headphones around the same price range.... The Nano being able to compete to other headphones in the Arya price range is wild 🤯
A very informative and interesting take on the Ananda Nano, Sandu! From watching other 'Nano' reviews I'd have to say your take on them has been the most positive I've seen. And that's a good thing because your ear holes seem to have been cast from the same moulds as mine came from!!! Cheers!!
I love my HE1000se especially on tube amps. If most of the tech trickled down to these guys at a quarter of the price I am sure the Nano sounds great as well.
My favourite Hifiman headphones under 2000 babies. Warmer, more musical, with impact and substance. I would have called these Organic instead of the bright and cold Arya. Quite a war Vs 109 Pro from Meze. Both have their quirks and personalities, but in the end they offer joy and some unique timbres. Good effort from Hifiman, a speedy melodic marvel.
@Soundnews - I didn’t hear a comparison in your review, so my apologies if you covered this - in your opinion, does the new Ananda Nano out perform the slightly older Arya Stealth or is the Arya Stealth better and still worth the additional ~$260 USD?
I compared them only measurement wise, sorry if that wasn't clear from my part. Arya Stealth isn't as easy to enjoy like the Ananda Nano is, the latter is getting closer to Arya Organic tonality wise. I wouldn't get the Stealth at this point. Hunt for a used Arya Organic or go with the Nano at reduced price.

Cool review! I heard an Ananda and an Organic at CanJam last fall. Just curious on how controlled the bass stays with the Nano? The Organic I heard sounded great, but it was on a high powered amp, and bass didn’t seem to be very linear with the midrange at times. The Ananda regular, sounded good, not as showy as the organic, steady and competent though. The Ananda Nano sounds like a winner at its price point or above. Thanks!
The bass control comes mostly with world-class amplifiers (sadly), they sound outstanding out of my AMP-23R and Primavera. I don't get the same tightness with affordable amps, but getting top tier amps with the Nano feels like overkill.
@@Soundnews thanks so much! Is the organic similar, needing a very good amplifier to control the bass well? I would like to have a nice planar at a real world price if possible. The Caldera is pretty amazing, but the entry fee is lofty.
Please i would really like to see yours THD graphs. Arya Stealth got less distortion than HE1000se, yet HE1000se sounds much better you say. I have Nano and it sounds so great, like, TOO GOOD FOR THE PRICE. That's why i really wonder it's distortion THD graphs, because, other than that distortion in headphones could be not that reference, and help my headphone journey!! Many thanks Sandu! ☺️
I love my Ananda Stealth, I would get these but I fall in love with Ananda stealth everytime I listen, so much more musical than say the XS. Maybe I will try these some day but I love the Ananda sound either way.
Yeah stick with the Stealth. I have both. The Nano is technically better in many ways but there is this metallic sheen over everything that to me ruins the timbre of instruments at times and I find myself reaching back to the Ananda Stealth. This is true even with my warmer sources. It's not that the treble is too much; just more in the way it's presented that's the issue in my opinion.

@byversus8227. Yes. I try both. Overall Arya IS a bit more resolute, more relaxed and has bigger stage. Ananda Nano has a more dynamic/live presentacion and the stage IS represented more front of you. Similar price now, consider the tunning.

I had the OG Ananda as one of my first HP's in the hobby and the Ananda Sound Signature was great right out of the box. Tempted by the Nano
I have no idea why I never tried the OG Ananda, but these are quite apecial.

Great review. What's the cheapest portable amp you would say works with these to get them to perform as they ought to?
The cheapest? xDuoo XD05 Plus2 or a Shanling H5.

Hey friend! I'm torn between this and FiiO FT5, which one should I buy given that I'm good with EQ?
Which is had more resolution and detail , Stax L300 or Ananda nano?
Could you please tell me what headphone stand that is? It looks so good.
Do you hear FT5? How it to compare?
How do they compare with the ARIA organic? I was told the organic is more punchy?
I tried the Organic when they first came out. Good Headphone but it was a little too hot in the treble for me
@@JTB-- it probably just needs a bit of EQ

XS are losing the punch and definition in the bass, that's the biggest difference.
