One of your better bikes, but you have a habit of early shifting of these Vstar 1300s (I have one too) and gearing is higher and well spaced, but you should extend the rpms more so before shifting, the engine is so smooth operating that you wont feel like your are stressing it, 4th gear is just fine for cruising at 55.
Yes same as mine.. cant change gear to soo n unless higher revs or it lugs... being a short stroke motor it needs revving unlike most v twin cruisers.... but its a great bike
I love my v star 1300 and have some flat front tire got to get the money to get the new tire put on I really need some throttle therapy myself depression and I really can use it
I'm a month away from owning one of these myself (same year).... moving up from the 1100cc (which I still have and love dearly).... but it being winter, here in ohio, what can/should I check out before the next season? (29,000 miles on her)
I got a 2009 vstar 1300 tourer love it. Only thing I'm changing is the handle bars to bring the grips closer to me my elbows are straight and bother me on long distance rides . It's got 8300 miles and white
Best thing too is he's ridden so many so he can compare different bikes pros and cons instead of say a metric rider trash talking a HD or vice versa even though he owns a Harley
ok, I'll see,, anyway... I've just recently bought a 2010 Yamaha xj6 Diversion and I'm so f... happy about it, but I'd like your opinion about it.. Thx in advence
I have the same bike and I live mine only thing I don’t care for is the handle bars they were low from the factory. I tilted mine up a bit and it made a big difference. What kind of exhaust does that one have?
Hi. Thanks for your great videos. I'm a subscriber. how do i know if a motorcycle has 5,000 miles or 105,000 miles on it since the odometers only have 5 number slots (ex: 99,999 miles maximum readout) ? I'm looking at a 2007 Yamaha VStar with supposedly "01,700 Miles" on it. How do I know that the miles aren't actually 101,700 in reality ? Meaning how do I know the owner didnt reach the 99,999 mile mark then drive it another 1,700 miles, rolling the odometer over once totalling 101,700 miles and trying to pretend like it's 01,700 miles ? Thank you. Anybody knowledgeable please reply soon.
Ok if this was your dream bike but let's say no have never owed a bike and just had to have this one as your first and most like only bike how would you do it??
Got a 2007 1300 V Star about 3 years ago for $2900. It's awesome!!

Vstar has better driving bad rodes doesnt hurt your back as mutch
vtx is carb and harsher ride

I’m 5’7 190 riding Rebel 250 now. Is Vstar 1300 to much to step up to or should I go with the 950?

Remove the spark plug and put one of the little snake cameras into the compression chamber and look for wear. Maybe do a compression test as well.
@@Road2redemtion nice one. Thank you for the tips.
