This is probably my favorite one to date. Don’t get me started on the songs 🔥 Should I watch Disneys WISH movie? I think I might. DRINK WATER!!!!
Saw it in theaters with my mom and brother, and we had a blast. When they announced the casting and people said Timothee Chalmette is terrible for the role, I said "Why? You haven't seen it yet." It also helps that I'm a big fan of musicals. I immediately thought of what it would look like on stage. Overall, it was a blast.
Timothee is a dedicated performer ever since his high school plays (some are on TH-cam) he might not have looked like Wilder but I think he earns his career. He is magnetic in everything I’ve seen him in
5:26 she actually said "babe", sometimes instead of saying "baby" people will say "babe" instead (also if this movie has taught me anything, its to ALWAYS READ THE SMALL PRINT!!!)

12:33 You know, Wonka actually came up with explosive confections when the infamous tour happens. Exploding bonbons, to give to your enemies, but the formula he made at the time was not strong enough; needs more gelignite.
I’ve never made it to a premiere! I’m the oldest sibling and I have some family drama and dysfunction going on, so I’ve been busy and stressed lately. My grades have been dropping a lot. Thanks for your content, Billy. I’ve been going through a lot lately. I hope everyone reading this comment is doing, looking, and smelling great! Hydrate!!!!
@@BillyBinges 9:43-9:46. She's in the live-action 'Sonic The Hedgehog' movies. 14:30-14:39. Yes. That's Rowan Atkinson. He also voiced Zazu in 'The Lion King'[1994]. 31:55-32:07. Why would we be watching this if we hadn't watched the movie already?
Phenomenal prequel I thought, music on point, story on point, acting on point, it’s not too long or too short, it’s not more or less what it’s supposed to be, just amazing, I’m so happy we still can make movies in 2024😅
i think this movie is as good as you can get to a perfect prequel of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. I have a huge attachment to the original one because I watched it very early in my childhood and fell in love with it immediately, it's been one of my favorite movies of all time since. so when I found out they were making a *prequel* (and not another remake 🙄) I was super excited but also really nervous, because Gene Wilder's performance as Wonka is probably my favorite acting performance that anyone has ever done in any movie or TV show ever, so when I went to watch this movie, having the idea that it's not going to be as good as Gene but still being open minded about the story and everything else really helped me enjoy it so so so much. I absolutely love this movie. I think the songs are so catchy, the story was amazing, the graphics and cinematography are near perfect, and the little hints, details, and songs that they brought back from the original pretty much did it for me. I love that there are so many nods to the original without seeming like just a grab for money to get anyone to like it, but it's its own movie. and it's phenomenal.
So when you congratulated your "uncle" on booking the job, I actually went back and rewatched the opening to see how I missed the family connection. Well played, sir.
I loved this movie when I saw it in theaters! A perfect holiday movie, so feel good and wholesome. I cried when he started singing Pure Imagination. It cemented me as a Timothée Chalamet fan. You should check out Dune for the #bingers, where he plays a completely different type of character.
If I had known from the start that Wonka was directed by the same guy who gave us Paddington, I would've been so much more excited during its pre-release era. Because I came into this with low expectations and ended up really loving it. The characters are charming and have a surprising amount of depth, the songs are lovely, and the visuals are so creative. Genuinely good stuff. Anyone who loves musicals will love this movie.
I use to do washing the oldschool way - I’d have vintage/antique fabrics some of which would be discolored or stained some people would bring them in to be cleaned a modern machine and products would just ruin the fabrics so you had to do it with older methods and with gentle measures. I find it very very relaxing honestly it’s just repetitive motions and takes awhile but it works and it look good. Best tip is just a big ass water bucket and if it’s a white linen use vinegar and baking soda (if you want it to smell nice use some lemon juice) will naturally bleach the fabrics when left to dry in the sun and they look and smell great. - other detergents or like bleach itself can cause the fibers to wear faster as it breaks down the material and sometimes the fragrances can be off putting or result in allergies. *cold water does help the brain wake up there’s scientific studies showing a glass of cold water is more effective then a generic cup of coffee at waking people up into alertness - also dunking in cold water causes the body to react with shock/adrenaline as a natural biological response (it’s why those polar bear challenges are addictive to some people/ice baths help with shocking the system)
Nobody believed in this project, and now it's grossed almost half a billion dollars, it's an instant classic what will be playing every Xmas in TV's across the world
The Oompa Loompa who joined Wonka in the end is Hugh Grant. You should see him with Julianne Moore, Robin Williams, Jeff Goldblum, Joan Cusack and Tom Arnold in Nine Months.
Late to the party but when Wonka saw his Mom at the end made me cry so bad. The reason was because I thought of my own mom and the thought of me having a meal from her for the last time crushed me.
I haven’t seen this movie.❤ 3:44 Heck Yeah!✊🏾 8:17 BRILLIANT!😂 I would have loved to see Jimmy and His friends in this movie. As like cameos. Or like smaller parts. 14:31 Rowan Atkinson Was in The Film Wonka, he was Mr. Bean, and Zazu in the lion king. EDIT: I saw this movie last Sunday, And It was Decent. I predicted that Noodle and The business man were family. Like daughter and Father, respectively. But I didn’t actually know it was possible. I THOUGHT JIMMY SHOULD HAVE PLAYED WONKA TOO!😮
I watch this first time in theaters on Saturday I liked it. I loved the johnny Depp one but if that wasn't first I think both Wonka's were tied in lovely.
Such a fun reaction. You are hilarious. Oh, I don't drink either, but I use one of those shakers to mix up iced coffee and teas. It works well for a lot of drinks.
I honestly love Wonka. I watched it like the night before I watching you react to it and at the beginning when you said you had fame on, I have the same exact one and it’s crazy.
It’s a feel good film I think more than anything else you smiled all way through too 😊Timothée Chalamet I’ve been fan of for years. It is nothing like original but I think that’s why it works so well.
The actor for Willy winka in this movie (Timothee Chalamet) is in fact the one singing these songs himself. If you compare his actual voice to the singing voice, you can tell it’s his voice and he probably voiced it over himself in a recording studio
Hello Billy l as well Loved this movie Wonka Loved the whole movie but really enjoyed the last 15 minutes. I cried, happy cry of course. Loved the singing of pure imagination
I recently watched wonka, and found that it's a bop. All the songs got stuck in my head and the pure imagination is my favorite and got me tearing up at the end of the film .

It just is very very dear to me for very long explanation reasons I won't give right now. but yeah. It was beautiful. And I would LOVE a remake of the original using this cast. It would be amazing.
At 35:30 he’s the guy from the wonky that Johnny depp was cast and that’s the person in One😄🥹 the guy ate the chocolate that’s him that will try to get Cocoa beans, and also was singing for Violet, who got blown up
why did we have the same reaction when they started talking about finding her mom - i was NOTTTTT OKAYYY!!! paired with the pure imagination pereformance I was ILL
I thought this movie was amazing. Like, a LOT Of people have hesitation but once I saw it I loved it. The best part about a musical is its ability to make their songs an ear worm. Timothy was incredible in this 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

I was surprised how much they loved this movie, and I did think for the most part it's a really good movie - it definitely entertained me and it's not really trying to do much else besides entertain and pay homage to Gene Wilder's Wonka, which it succeeded at! @girlinh9481 yesss Billy please do this
When he started singing pure imagination, it hits me in the feels. The nostalgia man
Fun fact - that’s the same quarter/location where Charlie found his quarter in Willy Wonka
That would be cute, if it wasn't in a totally different country then the 71 movie
It is the same spot since there is only one Willy wonky chocolate factory and Charlie lives next to it
The fact that nobody is talking about the stalking the Oompa Loompa did for YEARS is INSANE!
stalking AND stealing. he was such a little shit that idk why Willy just let it go so easily and just buddied up with him.
If i was Wonka i would of gotten real petty with the Oompa Loompa but that’s just me…
