Aviation Ferry Club - Pilots Finding Missions

Those of you that follow me, know of my addiction to aviation. Which of course is no different than any of you. And for all of us, it translates to a "looking for missions" attitude.
Welcome to the Aviation Ferry Club. A group of like-minded pilots at KPWK that volunteer to help each other get their airplanes to or from a destination. No money exchanges hands. We all just help each other out and know that in the end, it evens up.
Join me on this short flight from Chicago Executive to Peoria, IL as one of my flying buddies is dropping his plane off for maintenance and I am going to provide him a ride back to our home airport. Let's Go Flying!!!

Seems like they gave you an odd taxi clearance from hanger 5 to RWY 34. The LONG way around.

Nice catch. They were doing taxiway and runway work. So we taxi'd on 12 to Kilo to Kilo 5. It caught me off guard at first as well.

How do I join the club? I have a DA62 based at KGYY.

It's not a formal club. We're a bunch of pilots who are part of Leading Edge Flying Club at KPWK. We just created an email distribution list and find ourselves helping each other out. I'm thinking through the implications of having other airport connections (KGYY). I guess it's possible, but adds a bit of complexity with a loss of value as it adds an additional leg on the trip. Hmmmmm.

I usually ferry KGYY-KARR. Lmk if anyone needs a ride; i don’t mind an extra leg. I look forward to a local mission and a chance to show off my fun plane. Otherwise, I’ll see you at Bessie’s one Saturday for brunch.
