I’ve watched many tutorials on applying wax to papers and yours is by far the most comprehensive. You explain the process very well, the tips you offer are helpful and the results are fabulous. Thank you. 💗
I’ve had a bag of beeswax and the same craft iron as you have since Christmas, but I haven’t done anything with the beeswax yet because I have bern intimated. Thank you for this tutorial! Hugs! ❤️❤️
I use an old griddle that’s non stick and it worked great! I could flip the paper to get both sides and put them to cool and dry on wax paper! I could do more than just one page at a time depending on what size pages I was coating.
My friend always uses beeswax but Ive not tried it. Thank you for this, Ive found it really helpful and will give it a go. Great results - thank you for sharing xx
Great tips! I've done a little experimenting but haven't really done a lot with the beeswax, so your tips will help me to dive right in. TFS the inspiration!
I am so thrilled!!!! I just subscribed a few minutes ago when I found you from the dragonfly kit hop. I had been looking recently for tutorials on beeswax application to no avail, but I started scrolling through your videos and voilà.....it seems like it is my LUCKY day! Thank you!!!!! - Kathryn
I've been wanting to get some beeswax for a long time, but I wasn't totally sure how to use it. Now I feel confident I wouldn't botch anything up. Thanks for another great tutorial!
Great tutorial Debbie. Never tried this before but you showed how easy it is. On the look for beeswax pallets now, i hope we have this in the Netherlands. Tfs Hugs xxxSonja
Hi. Great and comprehensive video tutorial. One question about the paper you printed on. In the video, I heard you say you printed on 70 pound copy paper. Is that correct? That seems like it would be cardstock and not copy paper. I haven't been working with papercrafts long so it could be my lack of knowledge. Ty!
It was a 70 lb text weight paper - about the same weight as a standard 28-32 lb copier paper. However, you can also use a lightweight card stock. The heavier paper the paper, the less translucent it will be.
@@KippsKorner Hi. Thank you so much for the reply!! I've never heard of text weight paper. I just googled it. Thank you for the clarification! I'm going to try it! I love experimenting with different products, papers, etc. Cannot wait to try your beeswax technique on text paper :)
@@janelleespinoza1433 Sorrry to be confusing! I used to buy printing, so I tend to think of paper weights as they are used on press. LOL. Play with whatever paper you have on hand - it works with just about anything. Have fun!
Thanks a bunch always wondered how this was done, so now I know no excuses not to do it, well I still need the wax.lol Nice to know the difference between laser and ink jet and that it works for both. Take Care Hugs and Smiles
It looks really beautiful! Just like a page from a mystic fairy or spell book! Love your ideas and perspective! Can't wait for the the new videos! Keep that great work! Ohh and when will come the new video???^^
Not a dumb question at all! But, no you can’t write on them (except maybe with a Sharpie). That’s why I typically use them just on the first page of a signature - so they create a signature cover page, so to speak.
Hmmm. I didn’t know you could buy it in black. Two ideas come to mind. Try waxing I’ve an embossed or raised area, or use lightly on the edge of a page or tag (like you would ink). I’d definitely play around with it. Does it come out really dark? Or is it more of a light/faded black?

This may be a dumb question, but can you write on bees waxed pages this these? Im assuming no.

@@KippsKorner thank you, I bought a chunk of bees wax and want to do this technique soon.
I tried to purchase beeswax in a jar but accidently bought black, how could I use it for journals, any ideas?
