This is great for a beginner like me and I agree and I am very thankful for you getting to the point right away. Because if it takes longer that 20 seconds to the point then I am out and move on to someone who does. This was was a great and very useful video. Thank you.
No wonder this video has over 18k views, you can definitely tell you put a lot of work into making this video. So many helpful tips and tricks thank you so much for taking the time to put this together.
I like having all these tips in one video, even though I've seen them all in multiple places, it's nice to have them here for a quick review in one video. Thank you.
You know what I love about your video? You DO exactly what the title says! You get right to it, and you’re quick and effective! You’re out talking about the dog, the cat, what you had for lunch (these drive me crazy!). Thank you for being so succinct!
Oh My Goodness……… Never in any tutorial I have watched have I seen sooooooooo many great AND usable tips and ideas. This is one tutorial I will revisit over and over again……… Appreciate that you have shared and so happy 🤗🤗🤗 to be a new subscriber to your channel 😊
using an old book to ‘store’ stamped images as well as collages are great ways not to lose sight of pieces for later projects. by the way, the hand cream tip is perfect for a messy person like me!
I love all your tips, especially stamping on pattern paper and storing in a book. What a great way to stamp a ton of images and have them at the ready!
Love these tips, especially the corigated cardboard for lines, brilliant! Cool hand lotion tip and 12x12 mass cluster tip! I know this video required tons of editing so thanks for all the tips!
This has to be hands down the most effective compilation of tips for junk journal making. You have given me loads of new ideas and inspiration. Thanks a lot!🌿🥀🌿
This absolutely the best junk journal I’ve seen especially being new to the scene. I learned more from you in this one video versus the countless others I’ve watched. I’m hooked on your channel now and looking forward to binge watching your videos. Thank you so very much for your time, patience and excellent explanation 😊
Just watching this video 5 months later....I am also new to this craft and agree I learned more from this video versus many others I've watched. I am subscribing and will be looking for more videos from Root Pursuit.
Great tips. I particularly loved the 12 x 12 page clusters, flip glue pages, stamping on pattern paper(brilliant) and glueing them into a book page. Thank you so much. I subscribed and I’m off to watch more ❤️♥️
Kelly, I love your tips! My favorites were putting on hand lotion before crafting, using pattern paper to stamp images, making a stamped images book later use, and gluing paper scraps into a book for later use. I would like to see more of the suggestion to expand a spine with fabric. I cannot visualize the finished journal. I think I will search for a video on this technique. It is an intriguing idea. Thanks for the tips! Esther
I loved all the tips! However I was thinking the same thing about the rounded book binding and the fabric one. I thought this looks interesting I wonder how it'll turn out but then there were no "finished images" I only heard of junk journaling literally 45 mins ago!! (Yours is my second video on the subject) Maybe I'm just too new to it, but I can't picture what those books would look like in the end! Good video though!
I have been junk journaling for ten years and definitely learned some new ideas here, thanks!!!! (Specifically: Faux stitches, crayon/coin wax seals, twelve quick clusters, post it note punch hack, curved book spine out of paper towel roll)
I'm just starting with JJ. Your tip about mass making tags or cards on a 12x12 paper and then cutting them out... I can't even express how much I love that idea. Thank you.
I loved the scrap book! If you would take the time to put those scraps in your scrap book as you were working on a project not only would you have a reminder of the project but you would have a lot of coordinating elements and perhaps you could even tear the page and use it in your project
I LOVE that last idea. And I'd be careful with the hand lotion one because you don't want to leave prints of your own digits on your projects, but on the other hand.... that might add a cool touch to what you are making. 😊✌
I really enjoyed this video & you had some great tips especially for us beginners. I also really appreciated that you were brief & to the point, not a big long rambling intro, & you were prepared. You obviously put a lot of time & thought into your videos & I have subscribed so I can enjoy more of your ideas as I get into this craft! Thanks so much for sharing!
I've been making JJ for years, and I love and learned some great tips❣️ TY! I love the stamp book idea. I also love the straight to the point and that the video moves along. Fabulous❤
TFS Kelly- I learned several new things & love that it is so short! However I couldn’t figure out what to do to make the expanding spine, and I would really like to see how it is done! I like the idea of the curved spine- do you simply cut down the center and use the entire tube?
I’m sold on your channel after watching this ! . Hi from one of your newest subs. Its nice to have found you. I’ve learned more useful tips in this 11:25 min vid than I have in some of the other more popular channels combined! Lastly I don’t want to sound cranky but I’ll take a chance and say “Thanks for not having any of that repetitive music playing in the background.”
My favorites Corrugated cardboard for lines Decorative Paper book focal point 12x12 quick clusters Striped paper picket fence Postit to hold small pieces to punch Book to glue on to later use Lace extensions to spine Sewing pattern paper to stamp on save in book Thanks for the reminders and sharing
Hi from Rhodes Greece. I have just found your channel 😁. I've been junk journaling for 9 years. Some of these tricks I have forgotten and some are new. Thank you for sharing ,very nice video. Hugs and kisses from Greece
Lots of great ideas here! And honestly, I'm sure MOST of us have old rubber stamps on hand. Even if not, IMO it's fine to use "junk" you BUY along with whatever found objects you have. It's ART people, there really are no rules.
Great video!!! All the tips in one place, finally lol. I have a tip that I can't remember where I saw, but have never seen since. And can't believe that bcuz it's genius. If you stamp regular tissue paper (with archival ink), tear it out and Mod Podge it to your page, the tissue paper will disappear upon drying and all that's left is the image. It'll make you look like a maestro!!! This also works if you draw the image yourself as long as you use waterproof pens like Sakura Microns.
These are AWESOME tips!! I'm drowning in scrap paper, so the tip about gluing them in an old book literally made my jaw drop! Talk about a "V-8 moment"! Thank you!
These tips are BRILLIANT!! Especially the stamped images on the pattern tissue paper/creating the book of stamped images!! SIMPLY BRILLIANT!! THANK YOU!!
oh, head slap, I love the idea of gluing scraps into an old book to have ready to tear out collage pages, they can be color coordinated. Great tip. thank you just saw the punch and post-it note tip, that's another good one
Great tips for anyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Also, you can spay gillter paints onto newspaper, with or with out a cheescloth or whatever stencil, and then rip the paper in pieces for later use.
The best video on tips I have seen. Plus, it is appreciated that there was not a long preamble before hand. Right to the point. -
Thanks for watching! 🍓🐇🍓

Absolutely! She got right in there and didn’t mess around. I feel like it included something for everyone.
Well done.
And superfast 👏👏👏👏👏
Definitely no long preamble - thank goodness.
The clusters on a 12x12 piece of paper is absolutely brilliant.
That’s a good one!

Awesome tips!!! ❤ A 120 or 150 grit nail file works well as a sanding block and you can get in tighter spaces. 😊
Nice!
So true! I use my nail files for all sorts of "non-nail related projects"
Ok the striped paper fences are just genius!
There were quite a few I hadn't seen before but those fences were sooooo simple and quick!!! 😘😘😘
Thanks for watching!
Put your leftover scraps in a book; Girl, that was sheer genius!!❤❤
Thank you for watching!
Great ideas!! I’ve never thought of the cardboard as a background stamp or the crayon and coin. You’ve saved me from buying the wax seals stamp set🥰🥰
