I've just been having two windows open and basically doing a split screen like shown in this video. Is there an added benefit to using Dualless that I missed?
(I do like the fact that there are different pre-set proportions that you can select from, but I'm wondering if there are other features that make it better to use this extension instead of just having two open windows?)

This is great, thank you. My question is, what happen when the screen that you want to share is a software, outside Google Chrome? how can i do that?
@The EdTech Show Hi, do you use the Google Meet Attendance together with the Dualless? Does the GMA work properly together? I have a problem if I use them at the same time during my lessons. During the Dualless presentation, the students showed absents in the GMA HTML report. Like the presentation is a blanket that covers the students during the presentation.

I would use Publish to Web for Slides to allow students to have a larger view since their screen often is a window pane with the Meet. Great idea hope this works well.

This is good is all students are virtual. Would need to adjust if projecting to in-person students in class and presenting to virtual students at the same time.
I do appreciate your presentation very helpful Edtech Show. But, I have a problem I am also experiencing problems in the audio of all the videos being presented in the google meet whether from the drive or even from the TH-cam. The sound doesn't work continuously and it has a terrible logging of audio, How can I fix it?. Can you help me please. Thank you

Hands down Zoom still wins. You're not even in "presentation" mode.
I thought so.
If I start Slideshow, the presentation covers the whole screen.
If u go for the option 'Present a chrome tab', it will work even better coz the slide can be presented in fullscreen
That's a really great tip Afrah. I had been taking the URL and replacing /edit with /preview!
What will happen if we present chrome tab ??
It also allows the students to hear the audio (in case you are sharing a TH-cam Video, for example)

We already tried a lot of things but still it wont work. The only thing that works is if its a link in youtube or a website. But it doesnt work if we make our own videos. Thank you very much
Hi Letvon, have you tried uploading them to Google Drive or TH-cam and then presenting them in the Meet? That's how I usually share videos. I keep Meet open in 1 tab and then the video in another. Here's a quick video that shows you my set-up: th-cam.com/video/3YCXpxRUsoA/w-d-xo.html

Hi , I downloaded this I also have grid view extension. I can see all of my students, however when I present with a Google Chrome tab I can only see a few students. I'm not sure what I am doing wrong. Any advice would be appreciated.

Hi! Can the students see both sides of your screen when using Dualless? I would prefer to have the students only see my presentation, and have me be the only person who can see both the presentation and the students. Is this possible?
If we are using the extension in that case while presenting not able to change the slide with both the screen and If we try to change in that case it only shows the presentation screen
However, you shared a Google Docs presentation (similar to PowerPoint). How do I share a pdf, Word, Excel, or PPT using Dualless?

I find when I am using PowerPoint presentations in presentation mode, the presentation takes up the whole screen automatically; thus I can not see my students. What am I doing wrong?
Nadia, instead of pressing the Present button, go to the URL at the top. You'll see that it ends with /edit delete that and replace it with /preview and hit enter. This will allow you to present without it taking-up your whole screen!
@@DanSpada I will try that. How do you allow your students to click the answers on your powerpoint, which is on your screen. I can do it in Zoom, but we do not have the extended time in our region as yet. So Google Meet is what we can use for long classes. I have animations in my powerpoint slides that are not working in Google Slides when I convert my power point presentation to google slides. Thanks.
@@nadiachiomento8568 i don't believe this is possible with google meet. Peardeck plugin does create some interactive presentations. One limitation is that the way peardeck works is by having students view the presentation in a separate window. So they would not be in the meet window themselves (and it may be tricky to troubleshoot for any students having difficulty navigating multiple tabs.)

So you can’t use the present option with the google slide using this extension?
Is there any way to see more than 4 or 5 extensions? I learned I can change their position so I can access the Dualless Ext while in multi-screen, but if I hadn't it was all the way to the right and it appears I don't have access.
You should be able to hover your mouse just between the extension icons and the Star used to bookmark. Your mouse should turn into a grab hand that lets you shrink the URL pane and expand the extension pane.
Can it be possible on Android mobile too

Is there a way for students to HEAR the screen you present, if you wanted to play a video?
If that little checkbox doesn't work you can try this:
On your computer
1. Go to Sound Control Panel
2. Click on the Recording tab
3. Right click on the Stereo Mix Audio HD
4. Click on Enable
Try it on Google Meet
1. Go to settings
2. Click on the Audio tab
3. Set your Microphone to Stereo Mix Audio HD
It's a bit more complicated than the checkbox, but that should work as well.
New solution just rolled out this week!
In Chrome, use the new "Present Chrome Tab" instead of the Share Screen or Share Window option. It was specifically made to solve this issue, and works pretty well. You'll need to open the youtube/video tab first, so you can select in when you choose the sharing tab.

Hi Shamshad. You could try going up to the URL and replacing /edit and all the characters after it and typing in /preview and then pressing enter. Please let me know if that works!
When I start sharing a video or my screen I don't want my 2nd monitor to show 'You're presenting to everyone' I just want to see a grid of students. I've tried share Tab, Entire Window, and Your entire screen. Any help?
How can I get rid of the big message saying "You are presenting - stop presenting" ? It comes up where the participants should be and I can't see all the participants.
I may be wrong, but I think the reason Dan doesn't get the ridiculously large "You are presenting..." message is because he's using Google Grid View Extension...
There is one major problem with this method. When I did this, the kids could only see "half" of my presentation in a long narrow window. As soon as you go to "present" it shuts off the two-screen mode. Any advice on this?
Yikes that’s was a lot. I’ll have to watch this a couple of times. I’m going to have to do this for home bound students.

I don't think you're correct by saying that you can select present entire screen. If you do so, students can see all the splitting screen same as presenter's screen. Correct me if I'm wrong, thank you.
