The use of a proper sized socket (from a ratchet wrench set) would be far less dangerous, than the use of a flat-head screw driver to force out the seals. The use of the screw driver risks scraping the sealing surfaces.
I bought this boat used and this us changing the oils and maintenance after purchase trust me, I am aware this boat was neglected. The seller told me it was serviced and I knew it wasn't so this is more of a video of what I found after fixing it. I bought this boat for the hull and not for the motor.
Thank you for the video. I have the same motor and I’m getting water in my lower as well… also having a lot of issues with the carbs.
yeah the seals are definitely probably bad, not a difficult change to do just a little bit of time and youll be back, sorry for responding late.
Where did you find the shaft seals? mine went out and I can't find them for sale anywhere!
I believe I bought them through hondas parts website or boats.net I believe

You need to flush your engine way more. Looks pretty messed up, hopefully you got her running again!
