You are so welcome! I wasn’t planning to do this livestream. My regular day is Wednesday and the topic was going to be simple and cozy summer homemaking. Well, God had different plans. Here I was doing a Tuesday live on a boil water advisory. I am glad to be of service.

You are welcome. I know that many people may be unaware of this. It pays to have one or two on hand for emergencies. Please share this video as hurricane and tornado season is coming.

Several months ago I stayed in a hotel overnight where the town was under a boiled water advisory. It wasn't fun. The water pressure was low and I was glad to "get out of Dodge". Denise, thank you for the video qnd the reminder to be prepared.

Back in 1993, we had a week of boiling water due to a cryptosporidium bacteria in the water. I do remember boiling lots of water. It really didn't taste good. For drinking purposes, I bought bottled water. I used the boiled water for dishes. I had an 8 year old and a 6 year old at that time. We were fine, but some of my friends ended up with "digestive distress".

Oh wow! The ones with digestive distress probably didn’t follow the boiling instructions as well as they should have. It does make a difference. Thanks for sharing your story.

We are north of Atlanta. I saw that three were three water main breaks in Atlanta. I hope you and your husband have enough water.

Hi Shanada, we are in Indiana so we are fine. Now my daughter is in Atlanta Midtown and one day no water and the next day boil water. I was thinking of them when I made this. They needed the information.

No. We are good but Jil and Jordan are. Not sure about Justin. He’s further out from Atlanta so they might be fine.

Vic, I honestly don’t know. You might want to call the Extension Office or Watershed Management in your area.
