@@TheOctomasprimeROMs are pretty easy, if your trying to play any system that had discs not game carts you need to convert the Rom into an iso file through something like 7zip if you don't want to chance it with your steam deck almost every single android phone would be a good device to practice on but as of where you get ROMs and stuff I hate to be that guy but I don't want to say because as small as the chance is I don't want any legal issues my way, that's why most creators will never show how you get the games just the emulators

hahah you can always just change the playback speed to slower and pause when needed. I hate spending unneeded time going through tutorials I typically put them in 2x speed.

I have the original steam deck and it won't install it stays stuck at dolphin widescreen installation and it never progresses
You just have to click the" okay " window turns orange at the bottom
@@divine_x_lightI’ve done this and it’s stuck at “downloading retroarch cores for emu deck” there are no more pop ups from the orange tab

When you launch Yuzu from the library how did you manage to make the window come out like that for games? For me it brings me to a widescreen white menu but not like yours
might need to connect a mouse and keyboard to access more options
The hardest part is finding Yuzu and Citra emulators today. It feels like impossible mission.
How Zelda Totk experience has evolved on yuzu ea? Still no 30 fps stable?

Is there a way that it automatically places the roms in the folders as some of my roms are mixed up,
As in EMUDECK you have to place the roms into the folders that are made by emudeck

As far as I know you have to manually move your roms into the correct folders.

On the library, why do standalone game and stand alone emulators appear next to each other? Is there a way just to have the games show?
yeah at 8:11 the parsers section is where you can pick what emulators you want to hide or show in steam and then after that in the ROM manager part can pick what games to show or not show in your library.
I dont have any games in my memory card. How do i cope with just the emu deck. Does it give a platform for retro games download

You will need to do a lot of research spasidic to the system you want to dump your games into a rom. Don't watch videos on how to set up emulators look up how to convert your snes cartridge game to a rom or whatever you're trying to do. It's complex and specific to every system that's why no one is showing that in a video about installing emulators. Does that make sense?
Why does batocera make link blurry ( gameplay) wise in links awakening. Why does nba jam on fire edition speed up so much in gameplay. Also my player keeps spinning non stop?
inside of the individual emulators you have to tweek all the settings and some games just don't emulate correctly or you need mods for the specific game. The best thing to do is google the specific game or even better get on the discord and ask around.

it really depends on the emulator and game.. typically if you have issues with a game i would look up the best settings for that individual game because it could be different for another game.

Does this install the bios for ps2 and ps3? I know how to get the games and convert Rom into iso all that's fine, I just don't want to scour all the emulator sites for that one bios file that doesn't looks sketcky 😂
For some reason, when I run the installation file, it opens the command console for me to install it, but closes right after. Why?

Just move the downloaded file "EmuDeck.desktop" to the desktop (not shortcut, the file itself), and double click (run) it from there, in linux based systems this is usually the case.

No other computer needed. This was all dont in the video on my steam deck. There is no need for another computer the deck is a computer. This was done in Steam OS desktop mode.

When i download the file from emudeck website, i can't launch it. It juste open the file as if i want to edit the code
Go to your dolphin file explorer. Double click and execute the downloaded file.
Problem is when I go to preview emudeck do not find my roms only the emulators
You can go through the process and pick all the individual games you want to be populated with custom art and everything.

every emudeck tutorial are too scare to show the bios and roms part, all they do is "i already have my games/roms so...", no one dare to discuss it why bother for the tutorial guide when all you can say about roms are "do your reseach with my hint" something like that.
Getting an emulator installed and usable is totally different than getting roms. If you need to know how to get roms you would need to do a lot of research as every system has a different way of doing it.

I tried, nothing works. I can do this in Android, I can change resolution, change filter like Scale2X but can't do anything in Steam Deck. Unbelievable

Yeah I changed the emulator TO mame (default) FROM mame (standalone) again. Now it plays with RetroArch and suddenly I can change the resolution again.
Don't know how to change the resolution for Final Burn Neo. The RetroArch core for FBN doesn't support resolution change.

My laptop doesn’t read the micro sd after I reformat it on steam deck it doesn’t even show a option to open so im basically bricked
It's probably just formatted in a type that won't be recognized on your laptop you could try formatting it on the desktop steam deck to a more universal format and try that.

You can just save in game like normal or save a file on the emulator or both ways to have a backup
when I go into Steam Rom Manager, in the preview section it only displays the various emulators but no games so I can't get any game to show on Steam
it's weird because I did get it to work twice before with Silent Hill 1 & 3 but now it just won't show the games at all
hmm you should be able to manage all the roms in emu deck and you can go through one by one selecting what you want and the art you want to show in steam.

You must own the physical copy of the game to legally emulate it. Obtaining the game for free without ownership is considered piracy.

You just drag your roms from wherever you have them into the folders that emudeck created so if you have snes roms on an external hard drive drag them into the newly created snes folder on your steam deck

Most people will never show how to get games because unless you dump your own Rom files that you've paid for its illegal, most of these people didn't pay for the emulated games so they go to 3rd party websites which I'd love to say what they are but I don't want my account banned so I unfortunately can't walk you through how to get the ROMs on the emulator or how to convert roms to iso files for disc games like ps2/Gamecube I would suggest googling some solutions, I wish I could help but I don't want any legal issues my way as small as the chance might be
You just skim over the most important part about getting the right ROMs in the correct folder.. terrible guide

If you find the pace too fast, feel free to adjust the playback speed to 0.5x for a slower walkthrough. Specifically, at 6:10, I meticulously demonstrate how to navigate to the folders for organizing your ROMs properly. If your concerns lie beyond finding and accessing these folders, then it might be something I haven't tackled yet. @@K71lla
Fuck I hate Retroarch. Their controller mapping shit is so cryptic and insane. I've had to uninstall and reinstall this shit like 5 times now because trying to make various controllers work fucked the mappings up so bad it actually broke the physical steam deck controls and made it impossible to invoke the menus to roll back the changes.
Dang, that's wild. It works fine over here. Kind of the nature of the beast-it's different for everyone, haha.
@@nophacetech It breaks my heart becausae the SD OLED is PERFECT for retro emulation. It's the smoothes I've ever seen Genesis emulators run and they look gorgeous on that screen. My inner 10 year old is overwhelmed with glee at seeing Genesis games on a handheld like that but not being able to use the proper controller and save states is killing me. I guess I'm just asking too much.
