I’d love to see a 99hr battery in the Go 2 with Steam OS. Maybe one day.

I've had the Legion Go since last year and absolutely love it. Once I got used to the 8.8" screen I was actually hoping we got an extra inch 😏 with the LG2. Trust me the 8.8" screen is not too big. I can't wait to make the upgrade later this year!

I think it has a way to go, and glad it's just a BETA. I personally think it's a bit too chonky especially without the removable 'joycons'. I'm by no means a heavy gamer so if I want a big screen, I usually just play on my iPad Pro. That's the vibes I'm getting, it's a tablet with joycons. It's a bit absurd but I do see the appeal in it for sure. I don't think I'll ever get anything bigger than my Steam Deck OLED because it already feels massive and when I go pick up my Switch it blows my mind on how tiny and small, and incredibly light it is in comparison. I have bursitis in my right hand and shoulder so I always have to have a pillow resting underneath it while playing or it causes a major flair up, so anything heavier is a no go. Also, yes it's totally cool, but with it's size, versatility, and the price, are you buying a laptop/tablet, or are you buying a gaming device? Would you really be comfortable setting the screen up on a table in a cafe, cranking your head down to check emails, surf the web, when you could just bring a tablet or laptop? For me, it falls in the line of too small for a good tablet, but slightly too big for comfortable gaming for hours. Makes me feel like Goldilocks and the three bears, in the end I choose to stick with my Steam Deck that's just right.

The detachable controllers seems fancy to the young gamers, but it seems like it will decrease the reliability of the machine in the long term. The friction between the connecting surfaces, will it last for something like 5 years, or the user will start having issues with connecting the hardware to the device? This is a big question mark with the Legion Go, especially if you are planning to replace your laptop with this gadget

That thing is MASSIVE and so chonky! It almost looks comical when you see him holding it in the beginning. I'm curious though, and I've tried finding answers, but what is the difference between all these handheld PCs besides performance levels and looks? Do they all play the same games, do they offer something special like the Nintendo Switch or Steam Deck? I started with a Switch and recently bought a Steam Deck OLED solely based on the fact it offered the entire Steam experience. These are all genuine questions. I'm really curious what makes regular people choose a Lenovo Legion Go vs the ASUS Rog Ally or vice versa. And by regular, I mean the average person that don't buy every console that comes out so they can make reviews about them. In the end, what is the thing that helps them make the final choice?

I can't wait for this thing get on the market. Please Lenovo, take my money!!

They should include a detachable keyboard as well as a built in camera and we've got mini PC:))

I don’t disagree about the resolution, but the old one made sense if you ran it at half resolution (with integer upscaling, or something fancier). It doesn’t do all that well at native 1080p in some games, so the upscaled lower resolution was a hack that worked really well given the size of the screen.

Hopefully the sound is better than previous versions. The speakers on those were dreadful.

I’m in a return period for the first generation. Keep or return? The 16GB/32GB of RAM is actually the biggest thing for me, I think.

The 2k resolution on the originala Legion Go is fine provided you're happy unlocking the TDP wattage IMO/E. But...a 1080p OLED does tick me in my nethers.

I'm same like your opinion, I already have one player x1 big handheld laptop 3 in1 . This legion go 2 is super cool but I think I might go with GPD win 4 Pro or wait till they make GPD win 4 with detachable controller. Bcoz GPD is a size of psp small and I love it

Seeing how i’m using my G1 for Unreal engine, i’m wanting this upgrade.

Z2 is only slightly better than z1 extreme,also it sucks with going down to 1200p. Tried to see the difference and you really notice that jump, especially in videos but also in games that run smooth 144hz. Really hoping oled will make you not notice it as much but honestly waiting untill legion 3, wich will hopefully support 1440p, would be better for those who already got legion 1

It is lighter

Completely worth it to me. I owned a Day One Steam Deck, and...my "Go-To" is the Go 2: Windows Edition. The screen/build is completely fine with me and is exactly what I've wanted. There are game I wanted to play on my Steam Deck that I couldn't...unless I dual booted or used other means. The Go 2 is the handheld PC that provides the hardware versatility I desire, while also providing the software freedom (Ironic...I know) of Windows.

Are the sticks capacitive like the steam deck

I would like to get the windows version but I been gaming on the Deck lately and the games been having less problems then my experience gaming on windows. (Desktop, laptop and deck included) Idk. I been wondering if windows has not been optimized the best for gaming lately. Or I have bad luck setting up Nvidea with my past PCs. Im tired of tinkering so much (unless its for graphics and resolution) I want my games performing with excellence when I boot up .

Have to disagree with the downgrade of the screen resolution. That sucks tbh however it is an oled so picture quality would be just as good as a higher resolution screen.

This device is the one I've been wanting for a long time. It can replace my iPad and Rog Ally and for a lot of trips I will be able to leave the MacBook and home. It's going to be amazing.

I love my legion go and play it everyday. I hope the LG2 would be lighter in weight so you can hold it for longer. It does seems to have better ergonomic and smaller screen.

They should do a version without the detachable controllers and take away a few buttons to reduce the 950g weight for a bit cheaper
