Yeah SD is having a bit of a hard time but if its the only thing you have it can at least do it and people can play through.

@@nophacetech Exactly, it’s an Unreal Engine 5 game, and it runs in the Steam Deck, doesn’t run on the Switch..

I think he's using the Ally's built-in performance monitor which cannot detect interpolated frames (AFMF). Therefore, the displayed performance is the raw value. It can be confirmed by using AMD's performance monitor which can detect interpolated frames.

yeah it can and that's why i was only doing it for a second just for fun. Yeah i will need to make another without frame Gen.. it just works so well on a hand held i would use it but i could see some people not wanting it the X has enough power to handle it.

I have no issue using a code to earn a small commission on products I use and love-it greatly helps my ability to work on more videos. I apologize if my title was misleading; I couldn’t figure out a way to make it shorter, but I’m open to changing it if someone has a better, clearer idea of what this video is about. I don’t see how suggesting an upgrade to storage isn’t a tip, but I do understand that it’s a lot of products and accessories. I regularly search for accessories and how people use them, and this is my 1 out of 10 video, so it seems others do too. Having a moral high ground about where the line is for others in terms of compensation is an odd stance to take and not helpful for the community at large. If you have a personal moral issue with using a code to get a kickback on products you use and like when sharing them with others, that’s wonderful-stick to your principles and remain neutral on the subject. However, I’m looking to ramp up my ability to make more videos, and I’m not in a position to do that without making money. Since no companies are currently willing to sponsor my small channel, I’ll use affiliate links for products I genuinely use and love until I can get sponsors to support the videos I want to create. A lot of people don’t get the difference between a sponsored video and earning a commission on a product. Sponsored videos involve contracts and specific rules about what you can say because a company is paying you to promote something. On the other hand, earning a commission through affiliate links gives you way more freedom-you can say whatever you want because you’re not tied to the company. It’s just you recommending something you genuinely like. I hope this doesn’t come across as pointed at you-I’m just trying to build a bridge of empathy and understanding between us as fellow TH-camrs. I’m new to the game, and you’re ahead of me, so I have a lot to learn from someone like you. I really appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment. Yeah, they made a little installer to make it easier, but it’s not a native app-it’s just the web version. It’s nice they made it easy to install, but it can’t go over 60 FPS. So yes, but I hope they release a native app soon.

Yeah im playing through the game with GeForce now on steam deck. It looks blurry but still much better than trying to run it natively. You get a smooth 60fps with max settings and ray tracing on

I would never play anything on the rog. The bad thing battery cant hold even to complete the intro XD. And if need to use it connected to power, I would prefer to play on my msi laptop with 4070 + i7 13700.

Haha, I just wish the Ally had a better, smoother experience. But when you’re in the game and it’s working, the Steam Deck definitely gets left behind in games like this.

@@JudahiamKngand this you just said WHY the Rog Ally is a piece of utter garbage. Windows. When Steam OS comes out for it, which Valve has not announced a timescale for, it’ll be better. But for now a lot of people stick to Steam Deck.

The ally looks and feels like a cheap nintendo switch... you updated from an aly to get a better battery and some more RAM that actually does nothing extra from the regular aly. Ive watched countless videos where reviewers have found absolutely no difference with that added ram... at most a couple of extra frames.. ahahahaha .. so go away with your glorified aly

haha yeah im pumped for SD 2 but also it won't be the most powerful they will stick with this model and idea.. so when the SD 2 is out the ROG Ally 2 is going to be insane and hopefully a fully supported steam os.

It’s because of Frame Generation and FSR-it’s just doing too much wizardry for the poor little guy, and it’s not keeping up.

That's because of frame gen. Which should not be used unless your base is around 45

dragons dogma 2 would be a better frame of reference since it uses the same engine. And sadly dd2 doesn't run well on the deck or any machine for that matter.

yes you can its 100% a windows PC so any monitor is going to work with it just like any pc.

@@nophacetech you know with the ultra wide display monitor you get to see more on the sides if the game supports 21:9 along with 16:9 aspect ratio it’s Amazing I played GOD of War on ultra wide and saw more . 👍🏼
