Looks great DJ. I was taught to keep my tools clean and maintained also. I guess that's why i have almost every tool i have ever bought in the last 40+ years.
Have you ever thought of how much money those tools have saved you or made you, sometimes it makes me think about what my tools do for me and I don't think much about it and just use them they are just there when I need them!!!! hope that does not sound stupid?
Use Chevrolet engine orange for a close match to the original color. Skip the bluing and just use light oil on the unpainted parts. I have my dad's old Rigid tools, and they still look good after 50 to 70 years of use. My dad was a journeyman pipefitter and plumber.
I will try that paint color when I run out of what I have, my dad was also a plumber, I could have grandfathered in but went into general construction, how life turns!!!!!!!!!!
Very good video, this Ridgid pipe wrench, maybe was for the pre war era, 40s decade, if you pay about $5 or $3 Dollars for this, that's a Homerun in the mundial series, very, very gooooood, thanks for the words about the products of the clean the tool, from South American Country of Chile, Sergio La Fuente Rojas, third generation owners Hardware Store in my Country,LONG LIFE OLD SCHOOL TOOLS, that's a gingle.
I love your gingle!! I hope you have a great New Year!!!! I do like the older tools, one because I can get them cheaper and two because the quality was better!!!!!!!
I totally agree with you I do not know why in the modern age that we have That they don't put the denatured alcohol in a plastic container And sell you a screw on nozzle so you can you know pour it into whatever you need I think they put it in that metal container Just so they can get you to buy more of it

@djstoolrestorations it doesn't sound stupid at all. It sounds very logical to me
