After living in Hawaii for years before we had children, we are planning a trip to take them for the 1st time. Immediately googled Ailana's because YAY! NATURAL INGREDIENTS, and I'm so bummed to see that it has apparently closed!
Thank you so much for the tips. I'm taking my wife (surprise trip)in October 22 to celebrate our 27 year anniversary. Looking forward to this trip. Mahalo!
@@MrAndMrsBanks She is under the impression that she is going with me on business trip to SF. I purchased the plane tickets to/from LAX toHawaii separately and she doesn't get involved on the DVC reservations. I still got 38 days to go so hopefully I can keep it under wraps a little longer. Any recommendation on a good restaurant?
@@reyes937 Hey, don't want to spoil your surprise and of course you know your wife better, but my wife would not like this as she would not know to pack properly. SF is a completely different set of clothes than HI. Just something to consider. In any case I think you are awesome for creating something wonderful for you both.
You are so welcome! Thanks for watching and commenting. I hope you have a great time and that something we said makes it even more fun. We did a video on planning with kids for Disneyland that would have some useful tips to use with Aulani as well.
Nice videos :) I'm heading there in Sept 21 and can't wait. I was surprised you didn't mention the Polynesian Cultural Center. Have you ever been there and would you recommend it?
Thanks! So I didn't mention a lot of tourist highlights. ;) The PCC is not on my personal list as its Mormon sponsorship feels a bit inauthentic and hints towards propaganda. That may be just me. But if you want good history, we LOVED the palace tour and I am sure there are other options as well.
Love all of the awesome tips! My husband & I are taking our 10-yr old daughter (she’ll be 11 when we go) to Aulani in March of 2022 & we’ve been doing tons of research. We’re so excited & can’t wait! We’re hoping Ama Ama is open by then. 🤞 =) *O* 🏝🏄🏻♀️☀️
I'm so glad you found this and hope you watch all three. We also made a video on tip to help children be part of the planning and anticipation! Check them out and have fun! But then Ama Ama should be open. Let's hope.

@@reyes937 so fun. Ama Ama is very good! Across the street is Monkey Pod and just down the street is Roy’s too. So some very close and good options.
