My family is from Hawaii and it is my absolute favorite place to eat. I don't think I've had a single bad meal while there, but I could be biased because I'm always eating with family while there and seeing them is the greatest joy of all 🥰
As an Oahu local, if you want the BEST malasadas, go to Pipeline Bakery in Kaimuki! Trust me, it's the best, fluffiest, non-oily malasadas you'll ever have :)

I love the Waiahole Poi Factory, the poi, lau lau, chicken long rice, and ice cream is amazing! Also Leonard's malasadas are heaven (my favorite is the hapuia flavor). Gosh I miss Hawaii so much!

Came back from Oahu a week half ago. Watching your videos brings back memories & craving for the food! I highly recommend Halekulani's Sunday buffet brunch. Gotta get the coconut cake. They are famous for it. So light & not sweet. You will not disappoint. The brunch has impeccable service, food & ambiance.
Afternoon tea at Westin's Veranda Moana Surfrider if you feel like taking a break from shopping. You can get a table really close to beach & do some ppl watching. The food is excellent & service too.

If you ever watch the TH-camrs 'ordinary adventures' , when they were in Hawaii, she bought the Chili Pepper Water that was being sold at Rainbow Drive-In thinking it was a drink...she did have some doubts when opening the lid to drink it, but persevered by drinking it straight ! Should have seen her expression afterwards...priceless !

Pepper Water has no vinegar because Hawaiians did not want raw fish cooked by the vinegar. It also does not change the flavor of other foods. The pepper is a variant of the Tabasco chili pepper that now grows wild in Hawaii. It is a bit smaller in size than the derivative plant and may be a bit hotter. Paul Marin apparently introduced them into Hawaii before Louisiana began the mainland's pepper sauce usage, likely getting them from Central America.
Oahu local born and raised. I feel that anyone coming to islands should give poke a try. And it’s po-kay not po-kee lol. Foodland poke is a cheap go to that all locals bring to our get togethers. Tamuras is another good spot for quick and quality. And my favorite has to be off the hook in Manoa Valley. Super fresh really good flavors and really reasonable prices. I recommend the wasabi furikake and get the poke bowl with sushi rice!

You're here and we were in the bay area. Just wanted to thank for all your food recommendations. In Monterey, we grabbed the last almond croissant at Park-Lusseau. Amazing! In San Francisco, Mr. Bread has the best egg tart. In Santa Clara, Paik's Noodle, OMG the noodle was the so good. Your hard work is appreciated!

I enjoyed watching your video. I stayed at the Ilikai when I vacationed in Waikiki a few years ago and really enjoyed eating breakfast at Cinnamon's when I was there. The Guava French Toast, Mai Tai, and Blue Hawaiian are outstanding. I can't wait to go back again!

Meimei! I’m so glad you uploaded! I have a recommendation for you when you go back to Hawaii. Go to a Costco on any island because they have the mango smoothie you’ve been eyeing on! It’s not fresh, but the taste is refreshing and strong. 😊 Love your vids! 🫰❤️

Hawai'i has some GOOD food there. If you are going hiking be careful of the Night Marchers. They are said spirits warriors that keep a lookout on the aina (island).

I used to live there, big island now. There was my favorite reasteraunt that served good food and good amounts. They would even keep a tab and let me pay on payday.
I was here the exact same time as you and I was staying at the modern hotel and so sad I didn’t bump in to you also I am your biggest fan ! 🎉

Aloha kitchen and Guieb cafe are a must try! Aloha kitchen mac nut soufflé pancakes and Guieb cafe for ube pancakes (I prefer their ube pancakes over yogur story 😅)

I love Ono Seafood and Maguro Bros, but you should try Morning Catch if you come back to Oahu. They're the best I like so far when it comes to poke because their fish is always melt in your mouth FRESH every time I come compared to the other 2 especially Onos. They're in Chinatown's Oahu Open Market if you're comfortable to come down there lol.
Idk if you already went to Ubae because they have everything ube, it's in the name lol. They have ube tarts, ube crinkle cookies, ube soft serve, and more. My personal favorite is the crinkle cookies. They're close by to Hana Tea but in a different shopping center. I was also surprised by your review of Hana Tea's boba because they're popular for their quality compared to other boba places on the island. And I love them too lol.
