Personally I would have used that bacon weight for the bacon and put/used the egg in the bacon grease with out using oil or the egg holder. Nothing like a bacon dirty egg!
Needs Texas toast, some grilled onions and another slice of cheese. Thanks for showing your method of doing "steak burgers" will have to give that a try.
Great video! I just ordered my Blackstone 36' and will be getting it in a few days. Is there an initial process that needs to be completed before cooking on the unit or is it good to go right out of the box?
Nice. I'm getting a big boy griddle like that when I move. I am a novice cook. But with that boy bring the meat and I will cook all the time. My Dad would Grill in the winter when we lived in Ohio on the lower back porch Lol
I enjoyed your video not for the cooking lesson but for the complete start to finish of using the griddle. I plan on purchasing a Blackstone myself. Thank you
I've had my Blackstone for a few months now. I have been an avid bar b que'r for years. but, this griddle is so much fun it's unbelievable. highly recommended.
Somehow your video came up on my feed so I clicked it...just wanted to say thank you!!! I've never heard of the Blackstone Griddle. I've always wanted a flat top restaurant style cooking station, but I never thought of an outdoor one until I stumbled upon your video. I now have the 28" on order. It was $227 on Amazon, but I found it on Groupon and got it for $156 shipped!!! Can't wait to give it a whirl!!! Thanks again!!
Great video. I never made a smash burger before seeing this video and now it's my go to way to cook burgers. That's a BEAST of a spatula that I just had to have and I love it!
Don't know why so many people are complaining about the egg. I, for one, can not eat eggs that are even slightly runny, it's one of the grossest things ever for me. And my niece can't eat eggs that are hard cooked because she finds that gross (I guess the taste of the yolk cooked?? idek man). Anyway, it looks good!
I need to get one of those grills!! But you should get an apron or tuck in your shirt! I think you greeced it at the end during cleanup as you leaned over :)
SW Barger Oh ok.. Damn. I bought this one thinking it was the same one you got. It work well, but I'm not sure if the dimensions are the same. I swear yours looks wider. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000VVO91E/ref=oh_details_o05_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
+Chilijunkie Learn professional cooking techniques and the material won't matter so much. IE: hot pan / cold oil, polymerizing oil onto metal, rinsing potato of excess starch, cooking chicken 2/3 through before flipping, don't micros-cratch metal, etc.
I'd recommend between 200° and 250°. You want steam as it does most of the work for you. Too hot and you can hurt yourself or the griddle - or remove the seasoning from griddle; too cool and it won't be effective. I use an IR thermometer (~$45 Amazon - see description)
When u seasoned it for the very first time did u use a wire scruber to remove that plastic film? That it comes with.... or did u automatically just use crisco
I'm not sure what yours may have on it from factory. I would suspect it is probably Crisco or the like. The owner's manual should say. If so, just carry on with more Crisco. They would not use anything unsafe for food prep. ... would they?
that grill you have is that rust at the bottom of the vid i see 3 patchs of something that is not the same color as the rest of the grill. you put the flipper almost on top of one at 3:01 Just wondering.
I work in a restaurant and we clean our grills by getting a small pan of oil from the fryer and pouring it onto the grill top. Then we just scrub it with a setup very similar to this. - goo.gl/LtjNVT
It doesn't take long. You start with high heat and Crisco. From there just a few normal uses. Just don't use soap when cleaning. If you must, use some vinegar/water mix, but water and heat is all you should ever need.

Another blackstone owner hell yeah! Nice burger!
Great cooking. That egg seemed way over cooked though. And I'm not too familiar with your smash burger style.
I absolutely loved the video. I plan to have a griddle like that one day. Thanks for uploading.
Nice griddle, love bacon and egg cheddar cheeseburgers.
I'm drooling right now. I'm jealous of your grill...I want one now.

That looks very yummy!

looks so good
You can order from Lowe's for $300. Be sure to get a cover!!
I enjoyed your video not for the cooking lesson but for the complete start to finish of using the griddle. I plan on purchasing a Blackstone myself. Thank you
better with a raw yoke!

Great video! Are there any other comparable outdoor griddles like this on the market or is the Blackstone the only one out there. Thanks so much!
Mundial 4688M can get it @ Amazon for about $25. Very nice and a must have for burgers n' griddles.
Great video. I never made a smash burger before seeing this video and now it's my go to way to cook burgers. That's a BEAST of a spatula that I just had to have and I love it!
om nom nom I am hungry for homemade burger now

Loved this and learned some great tips.

Nice looking burgers !
Awesome!
use the press on that bacon, man!
Who did this music?? I like it.
Perfect!
BEST GRIDDLE EVER!!!!!!!!
I like the way you cook your burgers. I'll have to try it that way.
What came first the egg or the burger!!!
Suggest a silicone egg ring, you have gaps in that one
where did you get that amazing spatula? I can't find one like it anywhere

Check out "deepfriedking" He has some pretty awesome stuff using this Blackstone griddle.
Poorly designed egg ring.
What material is the griddle made of?? everything from meat, eggs etc gets horribly stuck on the surface if i dont use a super coated pan...

Where did you buy the larger of the three meat presses?
All 3 from Amazon w/smooth bottom made by Steven Raichlen. See description for link.
It says it comes with cooking oil already on it. It recommends washing only this one time with soap and water, but I just cooked on it. Seemed fine.
How do you know when the temp. is cool enough for cleaning? Thanks.
I'd recommend between 200° and 250°. You want steam as it does most of the work for you. Too hot and you can hurt yourself or the griddle - or remove the seasoning from griddle; too cool and it won't be effective. I use an IR thermometer (~$45 Amazon - see description)

300 from Lowes
I Love griddle
how much does one of these griddles run for? where to buy from?
All that work put onto a generic hamburger bun. amazed when people buy quality ingredients and put it on a 5 cent bun.
What did you spray to clean up at the end?
looks good to me!
When u seasoned it for the very first time did u use a wire scruber to remove that plastic film? That it comes with.... or did u automatically just use crisco

I just did my first season rite now... I believe it is crisco...
How long did it take to season
Not long. A couple of uses and you're good to go.
what are those square metal things with handles called?
Meat presses. See description for links to all accessories shown in video.
changospank1 aa
I'd eat it...but basically a butter burger.
How much and where do they sell them
can you leave that out in the rain?
How do you store your griddle? I have one but don't want it to rust outside. It's humid here in TN
Do you ever experience any rusting issues by leaving it outside under cover?
mmmm subbed
Bad Ass Dude
Please respond!! what is the song?
Bela Fleck - Fiddlers Dream and Salty merged into one long song. They are listed in final credits.

Do you recommend the 28" or the 36" blackstone griddle for a family of 5. I would normally just buy the big one but the 28" is half the price
Get the big one, you'll thank me later.
where you buy that grill?
I would love to own a big griddle like that. The fun things you can do.
thats a tasty burger
great video and good food. give me more...
Nice!
grill brick for cleanup
they have liquid cleaner that gets that stuff off in no time. Its fine like it is though.
gotta get one.
hey bro how much did u buy your grill for? thanks
it looks good.
next time when you put your egg in the cup give the yolk a poke, it will cook faster!
I love it
nice song
That egg was perfectly cooked, that's how I've always had them
