I looked into what happened after the show and the company now makes $5 million annually, still largely in Japan. Philipp was able to get the approval from his fiance's parents and they got married last year.

For those wondering, Robert pulled out of the deal last minute so it never went through. The owner also showed the clip of barbara to his fiance's parents, but was unable to get their approval to marry her so he ended up marrying a different girl. He still found success though and is a multi millionaire

It looks like beautiful craftsmanship. The average golfer would probably never invest in one, but the professional players, the business world, high-end golf courses, and the rich would love something so beautiful and of high quality. Best of luck guys!

Japan values craftsmanship and above all, quality! It isn't surprising that Kronos is doing better there than in other countries. Add to the fact that it is a common leisure activity in Japan.

Barbara gives the best advice. In a different video she told a female entreprenuer how that entreprenuer's over optimism was making her blind and self doubt was often critical to stay vigilant about your business.

This was aired in 2014, apparently the business is doing well and is worth $19m. Good on them for not giving up.
I love how the sharks would always compliment these entrepreneurs and say these sentimental things then ends off with "Im out"
I see them being very successful in the future because a majority of golfers are retirees who don't compete for clout they just like to hang out with their buddies and show off their wealth. And wealthy people absolutely love hand crafted things! So that's a plus for this company! They just have to make a name for the company about them being hand crafted. Like all sports it's expensive to sponsor a pro, the talent will usually go with the highest bidder. This company needs to Lazer focus it's business on retirees. The competition golfers will use whatever works best for them, so their golf bag will consist of many different companies products.

I could see this working, every golfer looks for the perfect clubs for them. Offer something like this and it feels really good to them, it's essentially a done deal.
Glad they are doing so well, Not going to lie though being a golfer myself. I imagine it's a super tough market vs the other big companies also with their putters being so high in cost. The lights of Taylormade, Titleist, Ping etc etc have such a huge market pull through their advertising, Was really smart of them to go to Japan.
Never have I said this about golf or Shark Tank, but this is a winning brand on its own.
