Korean foreign national comes and gets two degrees in the US socialist academia system, one in business and the other in Chinese, which is easily several hundred thousand dollars in tuition, THEN proceeds to come out with serious capital, no debt, and cash in the bank... She also speaks English with a Chinese accent (that's not Korean). I'd be interested to know her familial roots because one of the most common ways Chinese spies operate in the US is exactly this scenario. They recruit promising candidates from Chinese families in other countries and fund them, meanwhile A LOT of money, technology, patents and information are going back over to China in exchange. It's not cloak and dagger, it's out front and open. The meditation thing is just a vehicle.

I mean obvious getting the exposure from the show is given. But to say she didnt value the sharks at all is not true. Just because she doesnt need their money doesny mean she doesnt value them. I believe she wanted the exposure and obviously the contacts and ability the shark could bring with a deal but she just doesnt value them that much. Dont forget that these are sharks, if you watch the show youd notice they always want to feel valued, it's not so much what something is really worth its about them feeling like they are valued. For instance if someone comes in with a super low valuation but with decent numbers then negotiate with the % and make it seem like they give in to the shark, the shark wouldve bought it, provided they're already interested. Then again there are other factors like the person presenting, sometimes you can pull off doing that, without the shark calling you out for lowball offer only to raise it a little and all.
I think it's not fair to say that she doesnt value the shark, because there clearly is a value, just not the one the shark wants. The sharks often dont do deal if they dont get the offer they want, even if they actually value that company higher, because they would never lower their offer and look like their begging for a deal unless it's a business they really really want. The same goes with people coming in, if your business is doing okay and you dont have shortage of money, you already have some upper hand against the shark, so her valuing them less is appropriate.

12:03 The “Yo, bro!” from Mark showing some rare unprofessionalism just shows his frustration with Branson. He did a good job controlling his emotions though, he could’ve done a lot worse

This was greatly unfair. If there is criteria that one must be low on cash, that should be screened by the producers. The "golddigger" reaction felt greatly insulting on several levels.

That's the way they make their money because they look for people who are despaired and less knowledge in business then they take the opportunity to push them to accept their deals in the minimum value. This lady is so smart and they know they won't make enough, she just impress them

That is a harsh thing to say, but its a bad sign for an investor when a business is sitting on that much cash (relative to their valuation)

She couldn’t even give a reason why she needed the money.
Partnering up to larger reach, infomercials, etc. not a single specific reason
“You could add so much value to us” what kinda generic answer is that lmao

But he was right tho... her motivations to be there were not in the right place and it was very obvious, and I think she is just making a product to be able to sell it, if she helps people with a divorce and all that emotional stuff she said in the way, even better, but her motivation is completely a gold digging motivation.

She clearly did not need the money, but was obviously there for promotion and free advertisement. Smart lady but the sharks were on to her and Cuban called her out. I see no problem with his remark.
