Turning the tables and asking the sharks if they were committed and if they’d give them the time is superb. You can tell they’ve been in business before
It shows them he's also very passionate and doesn't just want a random investor. He wants an investor who cares about the product and will do what it takes to make the product succeed. Very smart business decision and not only a sales pitch. It gives the investor a sense of secureness too.

And they didn’t really need the money, they had enough either way. they wanted someone with the contacts, marketing ability and passion to make sure the bussiness succeeded. The extra $100.000 they negotiated was mostly out of principle.

They gained significant exposure during their Shark Tank appearance in 2020, after striking a deal in the hallway with Lori and Rohan for $500,000 at 20%.
Unfortunately, after the episode aired, the deal with Lori and Rohan never closed. Despite this setback, Knife Aid is still alive and well. As of June 2021, they reported an annual revenue of $2 million.
Do you know why it didn’t close?
The price per knife also went up by $4.95 per knife. Each knife is $14.95.
@@BraddahBruce That's quite a big bump. You would need to have to sharpen quite expensive knifes for it to make sense
@Melpheos1er ten bucks I was going to try it, but $15 for my knives, not really worth it.
Annual revenue of 2 million a year later is 1/2 million dollars less than the valuation they were offered. Logistic prices have skyrocketed which explains the reprice of $14.95 vs $10 / knife. Too bad it didn’t go through, it was an excellent offer. It’ll be interesting to see how this company scales going forward; and if they’re able to turn $2 million into 10-20 million. Never be too successful to learn from a failure.
yeah that showed growth and smarts. the sharks will definitely like that.
"Wait, I could've gotten you an extra $100000!"
Haha I love when Kevin starts bidding wars just to get the other sharks to pay more. That's such a bro move lmao
HE WANTED THE DEAL, THIS WASN'T ABOUT MAKING THE OTHER SHARKS PAY MORE FOR KICKS
😂😂😂
If he loosing the deal, he would prefer they PAY MORE😂
Was too late though
I feel the energy coming from that side too!! 😂😂 9:10
In India, we have hawkers selling it out "Chaku tej Kara Lo !!!"
Wow never seen all the sharks fight to get their offer accepted, what a great service. These guys are geniuses
You probable haven't watched many episodes.
the deal never closed once the show ended, look it up. this show is pointless garbage
@@beingofstrange I was talking about @sharhful comment. However, it is not that the program is garbage. When the people go, they say whatever they want to say, sometimes lies. After the show, when they get together, all the information comes out and, if there were lies or omissions, the sharks will not be forcedinto contract.,
Hi✋
@@beingofstrange not really, usually after the episode airs and get exposure their sales go up
Kevin : "there are no rules"
Barbara proceeds to negotiate in the hallway with the knife in her hand
😂
I was looking for the Barbara comment 😂
2:39 Rohan "which is the dull one?"
Michael "The one that doesn't says "Sharp" on it" 😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆
11:48 Barbara is ready to slice some Sharks 🤣🤣
It’s crazy how big the wealth differential is between Mark and the other sharks.
He’s worth 4 billion dollars, so even a 10x ROI on a 400k investment is like a drop in the ocean for him.
No wonder he sat back.
He invested in a company once just because they made a product his kid used. He's a different level of wealthy.
Alex Webb, I’ve seen Mark just give a business money and ask for 1% equity because the show required it. He wanted to just give them the $75,000 and see what they could do. That’s definitely a different level of rich.
@@lxnny2357 is that an episode? If so do you remember the name or key words or something so I can find it
@@potatoloaf9129 it's an episode. Maybe it was the one with hopscotch, but I can't recall.
@@lxnny2357 thank you, I did end up finding it shortly after commenting that though 👾
The fact that it went from "Business convinces Shark" to "Shark convinces Business" shows the level of experience these two have in Business
Sorrry but Barbara just standing on the side there at the end holding one of the knives is hilarious
This episode shook me. LOVED EVERY BIT
Incredible pitch - these guys had a plan going in and it executed perfectly. It's truly an artful deal.
Rohan : *has no idea what Lori is talking about in the hallway*
Also Rohan : “Lori, I’m in! “
That WAS funny
He's the one that closed the deal though
Speaks to the strength of their idea
That part made me laugh 😂
As of 2020, the company mentioned on their Amazon store page that they have already sharpened “over half a million knives”. With a price tag of $69.00 for the sharpening service of 5 knives, it can be deduced that Knife Aid’s total sales have already reached at least $6.9 million! That’s definitely a huge leap from the $120,000 sales just before their Shark Tank appearance.
Did you mean $69 million
It's 10$ per knife, si it's around 5million$
@@Itsmy2cent what do you mean explain pls
I think it's shameful these "sharks" defraud these guys for a quarter of their business. What goes around comes around. A little free game...
@@thecreatives2198 It’s self-explanatory. Most Americans are not going to spend close to $70 just to sharpen the knives they’re going to buy a cheap set from Walmart or target and replace it if anything happens to them. And as far as hunters I don’t know any hunters or I live in New England that would send their knives out to sharpen they would learn how to sharpen there knives by the age of seven.
one of my favorite episodes. never seen so much thirst from the sharks!
It’s amazing like the difference in levels of quality in product, and ability to do business. These guys killed it, and they deserve to reap all the rewards.
