Carmobber the 8+ is better in my opinion but I’m happy Apple made it to 10 years and wanted to launch a celebratory phone for it ... however it literally came with nothing different besides Touch ID and a notch that makes you sit at a smaller screen than the 8+ so us 8+ users are winning hell even 8 or 7 users ... generally you’re paying $400 for a second best camera and a notch that scams you out of display ... I went to the T-Mobile store and watched a video on the X and was like “ wtf “ I’m glad I got the 8+

I bought iPhone X last week and rewatching iPhone X reviews and ads coz I feel the nostalgia+evolution of 2017 iPhone X
This was probably the last time I felt the iPhone was 1-2 years ahead of any other design.
Yes now they are the same every year...

@@rjj00 The PH1 had a huge chin bezel and while the tear-drop design was okay, I'd argue that it was jarring enough that it was not an evolutionary step above the iPhone X. Combined with a mediocre screen, OS, and camera, it just wasn't a serious competitor to the iPhone X. Which is why the iPhone X is one of the best selling phones of all time, and the PH1 is forgotten.
The S10 was one of the first Android phones to finally surpass the iPhone in build quality and design. That phone came out 18 months after the iPhone X.

@@hellbryan1299 I’m not necessarily hating, I am literally writing this from my iPhone 14, and I don’t think any other companies have improved a lot more in this time frame. I guess what I really meant to say was it surprises me how safe Apple has played it with their design language over all of these years, with the only major changes being the flat edges and the camera. When I think of 2017, I have this image in my mind of iPhone 6s and galaxy s7’s with their massive bezels and “old” technology, and how much more sleek and advanced our 2023 phones are.
