Hello again!
Here I am with PART 3 of the Battle of the Bulge Reenactment at Manhay!
It was really cold, and of course I decided it was a good idea to spend the night all alone in my Pup Tent!
Yes, it was freezing.. But I just really wanted to have this experience.
It's such a weird feeling, sleeping on the same ground that was a battlefield back in 1944. Soldiers of the 2nd SS Panzer Division were running around, tanks were being destroyed, and U.S. soldiers were attacking.. Artillery shells coming from different directions, scared civilians hiding for the horrors of war.. lots of people were killed here.. and here we are, spending the night in our little tent.
It's important to know that we don't only do this for entertainment, but we do this to preserve History, teach about it, and respect the soldiers who fought in this battle.
It was a very... "cool" experience!
