I'm very busy, but it's mainly because I have back problems, so I need some rest.

This large Russian cartridge case reminds me of a PTRD (or PTRS).
It was such an anti-tank rifle.
I'm 99% sure.
Both were, they were produced during the war by Simonov (the PTRS) and Degtyarov (PTRD)

my great uncle served in WW2 in Germany and i have his M1 Grand bayonete right where i watch Nick's vids.

I’m a grandson of a ww2 vet and it means a lot what you do on this channel. He was an infantryman and he was in the Italy campaign as infantryman. Sicily,Grand Apennine Valley, Monte Casino,etc. would love for you to do a trench example of this and even one day do metal detecting their or whatever you can about this part of the ww2 .he was in the 5th army under Gen Mark Clark.
Even my grandpa served there!
Mine was in Monte Cassino also.
My Grandfather was in the 88th inf div, 351st reg, L company. He fought in Italy in 1944.
My grandpa was a marine aircraft repair guy in ww2 and served with the 2nd marine corp division and was in the pacific and was also a tail gunner and he was at many of the major battles and he was a tail gunner at iwo jima and after the war he did peace keeping duty in Japan and he was a aircraft mechanic in the famous show the original black sheep squadron
Idk much about my grandpa's service because he never talked bout it but from the information I got from him, he was in the 8th british army and was involved in the first and fourth battle of cassino. He had 10 friends during the start of the campaign and out of that only him and 2 others returned. When I asked him this, it was the first time I saw him crying. He was also involved in the middle eastern campaigns.

I had a CRAAZY amount of 27 family members in WWII, and your channel has inspired me to find out more about them thank you nick👍🏼
I really like your videos, me and my Grandparents have recently Found the WW1 Iron Cross that had been hidden for over 100 years and it was from the Eastern front, all og my great grandpa's brothers would die in trenches in ww1 i believe he got it from around 1917 - 1918. Im so happy that i've recovered a lost WW1 medal.

It appears that the m1 bayonet you have is a 1905E1 bayonet. The blood groove in the middle looks like it should keep going because it used to. They were cut down during the early parts of the war to be the same length as the m1 bayonet. I have one and it is definitely one of my favorite bayonets. Love your videos!

I still remember one of the first few things I found metal detecting back in 2019 Germany, was a small grouping of 4 1930s 8mm mauser rounds and a weimer 5 pfennig dated 1924 that were roughly a few feet apart from each other. God knows what happened to those rounds, whether it be during training, small skirmish with allied forces, or just simply some random lad(s) and a mauser rifle having fun and randomly dropped a 1924 weimer coin with it haha, so many questions to ask but was badass in finding.
Another find I liked was a US 20mm round and a German 13mm round that was far apart from each other but within the same woods I metal detected in south western Germany, prolly a US P-38 and a German plane was duking it out in the air or at least I like to imagine that was the case haha.

Just wanted to let you know that I found your channel right around a year ago and watched all of your older videos and absolutely loved them! You inspired me to start my own channel sharing and shooting my Militaria Collection as well. My main focus is U.S. WWI and WWII weaponry and field gear with some Russian, Japanese and German WWII items as well. I seriously started uploading videos about 6 months ago and am slowly trying to grow my channel. I'm only at about 330 subscribers so far, but I just wanted to thank you for giving me the inspiration to go on this venture. I appreciate you and all you do for TH-cam! Hope you're well, sir.

Hi Nick, we have a lot of places where the Germans stayed with us in 1940-1945 and of course after the war. The German army was good soldiers and soldiers with souls and they liked the beautiful places where they stayed with us during the war years in our country. We have many places and German relics from the war.

Omfg the dog flashback was gold hahahahahaha! I'm looking forward to any updates on that bunker find and the stuff that happened/ was going on with that, still extremely interested in that. I also recommend seeing a Chiropractor my dude, I see one on and off for my Military-related injuries and they've done wonders for my back and neck. Give it a try if you haven't.

Quick thing! That "cap badge" is actually a shoulder tile, there would normally be 2 of them, for each shoulder, and they would be pinned on the epaulets
the big shell casing with the thick bottom and thin head looks like a PTRD-41 shell casing

For a long time I had trouble with who my favorite youtuber is, but in 2019 I found ur channel and it was easy to decide, you also inspired me to make a foxhole in my backyard (which is now the compost pit) but it is ok cause im making a bunker now
