    Thank you for reviewing these products! I have used the "Lanbeide Diamond Painting Sealer" and Mod Podge Super Gloss". Some remarks about the Lanbeide; after deciding to put 2 coats on since it was a larger painting (60 X 45 and I wanted to hang it on the wall), the SECOND coat dried cloudy/milky/dull on and between the drills. I should not have done 2 coats but it didn't say you couldn't. It did mention "curing time" which depended on the thickness of EACH LAYER. One coat looks good. The company does not have any customer service contact information ANYWHERE. Wondering if there is a way to restore the diamond luster and take away the milkiness between the diamonds? As for the Mod Podge Super Gloss, it dried nice and shiny but with a little tackiness. Next time I will add some water to see if that helps the tackiness. Any advice/help regarding the above would be appreciated. I have also tried to contact Lanbeide through Amazon but have not heard anything as yet. I really want to hang that painting, but I can't display it in its current condition. ☹

      I am so sorry you didn't have great results, the sealer should be applied thin to keep the sparkle luster of the plastic drills. Sadly I don't know of a way to remove the sealer.

    Mod Podge is the only one I’ve seen people use. I think I would prefer the ones you liked. I haven’t finished my first painting, so I haven’t sealed yet.

    Hi! Do you still have the flower you sealed? I'm curious how the top layer behaves after some time. Is it hard and will it crackle if you would frame it now? Or turn yellow in time?

    • @KatieAdams
      @KatieAdams  ปีที่แล้ว

      I actually did not keep it because I couldn't frame it since it had 4 different sealants. But I have used the DuraGloss on other items (not diamond art) and those pieces have not yellowed in time.

    Hi. I actually have the Lanbeide pour sealer. It comes with the silicone brush. If I use a regular paint brush, what do I use to clean the brush with when I'm finished? BTW I like your video! Thank you.

    The Mod Podge should be cut 50% with water. That would cut down on the sparkle

    Okay, clearly I'm doing something wrong here. I used the specialty stuff (got mine on Wish, but it's definitely the same stuff), and I did exactly what you did. Yours looks perfect. Mine looks like its covered in cornstarch. Actually, exactly like cornstarch - the canvas even went stiff! Please help!🙏

    • @KatieAdams
      @KatieAdams  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      My canvas went stiff too so that is normal, but it sounds like it was applied too thick. You really want a nice light coat.

    • @uncle_thulhu
      @uncle_thulhu 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@KatieAdams hmm...you did say to fill the spaces between drills though, right? I expected it to dry clear, like PVA glue. I even ran a dry sponge over it after applying it so there weren't any puddles or anything. How do I clean it now? That stuff is water-based, isn't it? Damp sponge?

    • @KatieAdams
      @KatieAdams  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@uncle_thulhu Yes, you do want to fill the space between the drills, but I am not quite sure what happened with the sealant you used. I am not sure how to remove it since it is basically glue. You may want to reach out to the manufacturer of the sealant you used.

      @valenmejia2135 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@uncle_thulhu It could be that your place has higher humidity, which is every sealant's worst nightmare. Also check if it turns sticky upon contact with water... then that means that your sealant was not really water proof but water soluble.

    • @uncle_thulhu
      @uncle_thulhu 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@valenmejia2135 Well, wiping it with damp paper towels did absolutely nothing, so I'm guessing it's waterproof.

    First of all, thank you for doing this testing and comparison. The video was pretty well done. I found the one with the sponge applicator left bubbles all in between the drills, distracting son the sparkle.
    But, what was very distracting in your otherwise well done video is your pronunciation of Mod Podge. It is "Mod," not "Modge." I know I'll get yelled at for this, but, hey... 🤷‍♀️

    I used three of those when I was sealing my jigsaw puzzles and the duraclear was by far the best (they make the resin I use for paracord charms). The Mod Podge always left a cloudy look and the triple thick was a pain to apply. I'm about to finish my first diamond painting and was going to use my Rose Art puzzle glue (dries almost as clear as resin).
