So something cool about my family is my great great great grandma lived in North Korea and did excape. All I know it was really hard and almost impossible to do it.
This is only on the southern border with South Korea. The northern border with china/Russia is way less guarded. Still those countries have a policy to send all defectors back to North Korea. Still pretty difficult, but easier than is described in the video.

Tip for avoiding underground landmines (hopefully you will never need this tip) look closely at the grass and avoid the dead grass because they would have to dig up the grass which would kill the grass i know this because my dad was in the army and told me this
