Some of these secret bases have to be jokes. The walking base is a good idea to constantly be on the move, but the cactus pixel art and powdered snow birch were on the same level of sneaky. The best hidden base is one that leaves no trace.

You just drop the item on whatever block on the ground you choose and it can open a piston door, then you can use tripwire to then close the piston door. That is a very good secret base if you need it.
i think it would be fun to see all of these bases used as a series of puzzle chambers where you’re trying to figure out how to get to the next chamber while it gets progressively more challenging
A great one is an AND gate using a trapped chest and an item frame. Use an item frame comparator switch, as well as a trapped chest, both of which feed to an AND gate so both of them need to be turned on. Hide it in the room with all your other chests, all are marked with item frames to show what is in them. Then to open the door, rotate the item in the frame and then open that chest to activate the redstone. Super hidden, super hard to find, and it creates a "passcode" of sorts since you need to find the specific chest and frame combo that open the door.

You can just make a piston door that opens when you drop a random item on the right block. I think that’s the best way cuz it takes like 1 second to open, it’s easy to make, and there’s no way someone is just going to drop an item randomly in the middle of nowhere. Cool video tho 😀
If you use the throwing item through a painting method, you can make the pressure plate accessible from the inside so you can pick it up to close and open from the inside
