1000 Players Build MASSIVE Civilization in Minecraft

- In this video, I put 1000 Minecraft players onto 4 islands, each its own civilization. Each player had the freedom to do whatever they want, but they only had one life. Will there be democracy? Will there be war? Which nations will be triumphant? Find out now!
If you want to play in events like these, join my Discord server:
/ discord
More info:
Out of 8000+ applicants, 1200 players were accepted to play in my 1000 Player Civilization Experiment (also known as "Season 2"). Before the event began, players selected which island they wanted to join-plains, desert, snow, or jungle. Each day, all players logged on at the same time, and session lasted around 1-2 hours. For the most part, players could do whatever they want, including mining for resources, running a business, becoming a leader, or fighting in war. We did set a few limitations on the players to promote a better experience, like banning random killing (RDM) as well as disabling most Minecraft enchantments.
DISCLAIMER: While most of the footage and plot information in this video accurately represents what actually happened in this event/experiment, some moments have been modified, reshot, or entirely fabricated for purposes of simplification or storytelling. If you want to know EXACTLY what was real/scripted, or if you just want to learn more about how I made the video, I posted a 3-hour live stream on my "ish 2" TH-cam channel explaining the specifics.

well i hear from people that actually played on the server that the final battle was a bit pushed by the youtuber. However it really is astonishing how most of these were just pure creativity and authenticity of a bunch of random people

@@Im_in_your_walls. bro what
Everyone talks about Wazzock but the insane dynamic of davarit and Zombta singlehandedly dissolving the Sultanate with the help of Sap was an insane arc
For me that was the best part
No, that isn't what dissolved the Sultanate. The way ish presents the stroy, isn't how things actually went down. Sap was actually a horrible leader, plotting the assassination of the Sultanate twice. A member of the desert team did his own video. Saparate was a tyrant hiding behind democratic means. His own men went out into the desert and starting robbing other factions, who they just hours before, made treaties with under an Alliance. Sap believed this alliance meant access to these other faction resources free of charge. Even resulting in the death of innocent people on nonpvp days. The Sultanate dissolved because no true justice was being pushed. It became tribalism 100%, where leaders of their tribe believed their own people could do no wrong.
The only person who was willing to enforce justice based on evidence was the Sultanate. So much so that the Sultanantes he even pushed justice onto his own people, never playing favoritism. Whereas Sap just turned a blind eye, ruling with nothing but favoritism. Sap then killed himself because he went on vacation. Not because he felt bad about the failed assassination attempt. Something ish pushed in his version of events. Sap was a selfish dude, and can be seen in his actions.
The replacement leadership for Sap did exactly the same thing Sap did. Turned a blind eye to crime and played favoritism towards her own people. Eventually the Sultanate could not maintain peace and order with foreign criminals harassing and murdering the Sultanate people. The crime is what dissolved the Sultanate, not Davarit or Zombta. Those were just two people who happen to not see that justice was being fair, even though they believed their people deserved favoritism. Which isn't fair at all. That isn't how justice works. Sap also preached innocent until proven guilty, but he never actually followed his own words. He always believed his people over other factions. Even though there is video evidence of his people committing harassing and murdering others with lava buckets.
@@dirtysilver2841 I like how you have a different account of what actually happened. Nails in the fact that in real life every event is often told with varying perspectives or incomplete narratives

(Hence this is why Ish say that nobody want to claimed the middle island, Sidefall did that first but change his mind after to avoid war)
Zombtas betrayal actually has me in tears. He turned his back on the world for his brother and I’m happy that the Sultan got what he deserved.
at the end of the day, his betrayal was what the world needed

Wazzock's sacrifice had me in tears. This video had me crying.
Wazzock, The Hero They Didn't Deserve. A necessary evil, to maintain the peace
Why fight each other's you have a common enemy like the saying goes the enemy of my enemy is my friend
Guy must have beem a big Code Geass fan.
Literally batman at the end of the dark knight
Basically he pulled a Ozymandias move
he pulled a code geass 180!
Petition for him to make another one. Something about these long intricate stories unfolding and presented like a movie is so calming especially when you realise these people are just at the end of the day playing a game. Idk I think it’s kinda beautiful
yeah its 1 hour 13 minutes but it felt like 25 minutes long. They should do a part 2. Maybe with a new biome (forrest)
I would go and watch this as a movie in the cinema or something like that
More More More More !!!
But.. will it still be as magical a second time?
yeah they should do a part two with them like discovering underground caverns and stuff with all the new biomes in them
one of the most beautiful stories I've heard recently. make a series plz this is better than Italian Netflix
Making me feel more hype and sadness than I have for any cinema in the past 4 years, god bless you Wazzock and AFreakinTurkey
I think Wazzok's story has got to be my favourite. Going from seeking to rule the world, to criminal seeking peace. Absolutely incredible that all of this wasn't scripted.
I think Wazzok turned himself in to dissolve (or at least weaken) the alliance between the sea people and acculon.
@@jacksongibbs8998It's weird that he didn't mention what his true intention was, then
Ok tbf wazzock didn’t really want to unite the entire jungle he just wanted to use his sand trap and maybe even try to take over with the power gap but that didn’t happen and he was wanted and he only turned himself in after a game of rock paper scissors if you don’t believe me ish has a second channel (ish 2) where he explains what’s real and not but if you don’t want to watch it just look if there is a chat box on the bottom left if there isn’t one then it’s scripted if there is one then it’s real
Wazzock pulled a 3.0 + 1.0 and sacrificed himself for the alliance
@@jacksongibbs8998 or he turned himself in bc he lost a game of rock paper scissors
Wazz0ck honestly had the best character arc out of anyone in this event. On Day 1, he claimed that he was able to rule the world perfectly under an iron fist, conquering the lands. But as time went on, and he truly saw the destruction in the chaos of the jungle, what bloodshed was really like, he had a change of heart.
He knew exactly that in comparison to the hundreds and hundreds of lives that would be robbed of existence in such a large global conflict, his own life is extremely disposable. And so he took the blame, making himself a scapegoat to ensure peace would last just a little bit longer.
And when he finally felt guilty of his actions, he turned himself in on his own terms, killing himself and allow the jungle to have another true moment of unity. Truly poetic.
Wazzak had the generic bad guy arch that turned into the anti hero we all could relate to. I just wish he would have better spoken his motives and why he did such to prevent greater destruction.
he is real itachi uchiha

I'm just imagining Elanuelo reacting to this video like "welp, I'm an idiot."
Wazzock is an absolute legend preventing what could have been a full scale world war by sacrificing his life and his dream of taking over the world RIP!
I was rooting for the allies however the iron torch is probably one of the BEST tactics I have ever seen
Yes, and the only reason it didn’t work was because Emanuelo died early causing them to surrender. I think Aculon could’ve won if they kept fighting.
Coudn't they just seige It? Without food, they would eventualy have to surrender
Fr they held up good for awhile
In another thread here apparently the builders fled before it was finished, taking with them the vital resources that would have made it much harder to defeat.
needed a second layer of top obby but the wall gaps was smart
This video alone is better than 90% of the content i find on Netflix. The storyline, the music, everything is absolutely mind blowing
I 100% agree with you this was the best thing I’ve ever seen before but AFreakinTurkey was a iconic character in the game
@@Luke-01. damn right hopefully they continue this
I hope so! Wait if this were in netflix it will be a whole animation probably with the texture of the minecraft trailer or the animation style of minecraft story

Finally a civilization video that wasnt just full on senseless pvp. Wars were fought for real reasons and actually allowed for great storytelling. Absolutely the best of the genre and i really hope other creators take note. I wanna be in the next one!
I’m also glad that teams aren’t forced, most other civilization experiments force teams and turn off friendly fire and it causes the whole video to feel almost planned or artificial
i mean ish was THE guy who brought Minecraft Civilization videos to the Top so ofc he's the only one who knows how to do them right.
The other ones are all staged from beginning to end while ish's still have real stuff together with staged stuff which is what makes them good
I think you'd like EGK9000's video then. It's got deeper focus on the desert politics I think you might like

Absolute Power Move
Wazzock really took a page out of Eren Jaeger's book
Man, Elanuelo had everything planned out from the beginning, and Aculon still lost. I remember testing the Iron Torch months before the actual event started. HE WAS EXTREMELY PREPARED.
The irony is that if Elanuelo hadn't killed Turkey in paranoia, if he'd either kept him around or exiled him or even just arrested him as leverage, the war might never have happened and he could have survived with near complete control of the Aculon empire.
The Iron Torch is an absolutely phenomenal fortress, but smart foreign policy might've been the safer fortress to hide behind.
Still he killed turkey and actually the iron torch can “easily” be broken by just flooding the roof and the aculon just basically trapped themselves in the sky building a base in the sky like that just doesn’t work in a situation that aculon is outnumbered
MONTHS BEFORE?????????
Agreed. Killing Turkey there was the dealbreaker everyone, too bad what really happened was Elan metagamed and saw a fragment of the plan being discussed publicly and he used his mod ability to read in on deleted messages on it to get an incomplete view of the plan. He killed Turkey out of paranoia through that. Metagaming stinks.
when I saw how Elanuelo started to doubt Turkey, I already envisioned his death, and after seeing how Turkey was well known around the world, I saw war.
And I was right. Truly poetic, I just wished the bloodshed in Turkey's name ended after Elanuelo died.
P.S: Can I know if Elanuelo had a grave built for him? I'm curious if they bothered or just didn't make one out of spite.
I watched this video yesterday and I can't stop rewatching this masterpiece! I just wish we had more of this! not just from Ish but from other youtubers
This was straight up a movie. Plot twists, arcs, reveals, sacrifice and emotion all phenomenally documented.
I suppose Elanuelo never realised that throughout history, all tyrants seem to fall the same way... by their own hands.
Zombta finishing Davarit’s plan is literally peak writing 😭😭
