8:50 lol. He asks when the will the world end then S Voice just dies.
"When will the world end?" *phone shuts off* LOL
This has to be one the best reviews I've ever seen. Too funny. I could barely breathe from too much laughter especially at the 'The joker has taken us hostage' and 'When will the world end' commands. 2 thumbs up.
Great test. These apps/phones are really eye opening!
This is a very old version of speak to it ! The latest version can even turn on/off WiFi, bluetooth. Also a much better voice can be use.
baueahueah, almost fell of the chair:
"When will the world end?"
Samsung crashes...
"The joker are taking a fat" hahhaah
LoL @Samsung S3 " The Joker Has Takin Fat " ahahaha
Quite impressed that Siri got "thunday bloody thunday"
The main flaw in Siri is that you can only look up maps, places, traffic and stuff in the US - but not outside the US. But every (every) Android-Voice-Control can do that everywhere, in europe, asia, doesn't matter, since it works with Maps.
Oh how innovating of Samsung! Dark background texture, voice button in the bottom center with blue light instead of purple, a text balloon interface...
.
At least they put a HELP button down there, that should be a great design statement.
this guy deserves an award.
I can't remember the last time I called someone without using Siri, and I call lots of people every day. I sometimes use it for short text messages too, and I'm Norwegian. I use it for alarms, timers and reminders. Siri is just so useful.
So, the world is coming to end, Robin is taken hostage, and we cant send a text to Batman using our fingers!! "Siri, Play final countdown"
you are right...
Message to Batman: '' The Joker has taken us hostage '' LOL :D
I really love trying out different voice assistants on Android, but I still think Google Now is the best one. It's able to do the most of all the apps on the Play Store, whereas the Assistants are basically tailored to only one or two tasks.
It takes an amazing amount of patience to deal with three women at one time!
cool
s-voice always answer your question directly. hope siri available for my languange asap
The S3 isnt out in the US yet, so I believe its not picking up the voice properly because it expects an accent, it even talks with a British accent
this is pretty fair.
Everytym i see any such comparsion.. it makes me fall in love with siri more n more..
So lovable n so casual.. thumps up, if u agree..
As it looks all of them have bad and good parts. While Siri understood quite well, it was not more useful than the s voice. I find it quite cool, that all three of them recognized the song so. Very useful :). Nice test! Thanks for sharing!
The Joker are taking a fat?
Haha XD
You can also play games with assistant! It is the best. and it got updated! i love it!
tape mode looks so classic
their both just as good.
Interesting. Siri isn't even out of Beta yet. Siri should be ready this fall, and it's already doing better, at least it's definitely a lot quicker!
which phone had all of that in 2008? Can you specify the brand and the model? Just curious.
Oh and when i ask "when will the world" it replies "no one knows."
Assistant is the best! I mean not this version, but the one on Play Store now. :)
Jijuro I think apple announced in its wwdc that it's bringing Siri to its maps platform throughout the world with more support for languages. I think more than 10. Can ask about football scores, restaurants around you local search etc. :)
hahahaha s-voice: "the joker has taken us hostage", comes out with "the joker are taking a fat" lmao
yeah... i mean all those live wallpapers and widgets where certainly taken from iOS. And even the notification bar (which by the way apple made the notification center after it)
Oh, Ok...Thanks.
I love assistant but the new one not this version
@GIANDERK No, it is Apple idea, even the first Macintosh can speak
That was the funniest of all IMO :)
that iphone looks like a toy next to those real phones.
Why were there 3 numbers for the Samsung Batman? Also did Siri cancel the text? Didn't look like it.
where you get that news, I've not heard about that ! And the OLED technology is not from Samsung, but from KODAK, it's an american company
i think the man advertizing speaktoit assistant app
It all started when man invented Smartphone with voice command in it.
why dont you include MS Tell me ? its really good
And Siri is the "oldest" voice assistant.
Apparently there are more people in New York, than in the entire world.
I really love all the Samsung GS's but although I don't like Iphone or Crapple I think Siri handles the voice recognition a little bit better.
You can get different voices for assistant.
as of iOS 6, it works everywhere.
Like THAT matters.
You can get "Google Now" on your S3 simply by rooting it and flashing the "Google Now" zip file.
I'm running G-Now on my S2 ;)
S Voice shut down and went to confession booth when it heard about the world coming to an end. NOW THATS A SMART PHONE!
The reason why the Mrs. went with the Samsung Galaxy Nexus (Pure Google) is primarily to receive the latest android update first ;)
Iphone is easily just as fragmented (no siri, turn by turn navi, etc. on iphone 4 for iOS6).
I barely needed to restart my galaxies.
Widgets are usually stable after the initial launch of a new phone or firmware update.
My S2 loads browsers so much more faster then my ipad2 (using same browser app, like dolphin & chrome).
looking forward to seeing what Google do with "Assistant" during I/O 2012 but still don't think I'll use voice actions, takes to long to get anything done...
How is Siri better? I've tried Siri and I asked just like they do in the commercials, "Will I need an umbrella today?" It replied, "Here are several restaurants close to you." ?
I'm not sure of what you mean by "how it is." iOS lacks multitasking when you need it. An example of a simple multitasking on iOS (ipad2 & iphone 4) that has failed for me: I'm using an ATI RN NCLEX app. I'm unfamiliar with a particular drug so I "task switch" to a Lexicomp drug app for reference. I return to my ATI app and it starts all over. I return to my Lexicomp app and it also starts all over. Now on my G-S2 and G-Nexus using the same apps always brings me back to where I left off.
Siri is definitely better than the other two : understands better and it's faster.
WOO!! I'm happy I bought a 4S
The joker has taken us hostage!! LMFAO!!
Weather Forecast
Well its obvious that S-voice is just a marketing thing to set the S3 in direct competition to the iphone. Im pretty sure Samsung knew that google would come up with sth better, but they just needed it for marketing reasons.
Siri does have better voice recognition a present, because it has been road tested and had the quirks ironed out. I expect the same will happen for S Voice in the near future.
You are obviously an Apple fan but what you really showed is that Android offers many more choices. Smart Android users don't have 4 texting apps loaded on their phones neither to Apple users. Android users may try out 4 or 20 or more but they settle on the one with the features they like. Apple users will use what they are given. The apple apps store is growing and now offers thousands of apps. Google Play on the other hand offers well over a million and supports 82% of the cell phone market (Jan 8, 2014). Even Siri can do the math that while Apples are great, they're being eaten by Android. - Cheers
How is he obviously an Apple fan? He hasn't said anything about the phones except for the unbiased introduction.
GS3 was too afraid to answer when the world will end LOL
UPDATE:
"Google Now" > Siri, S-Voice, and speaktoit assistant combined!
Google has improved S Voice greatly. It gives straight answers.
Did the S Voice just shut off in the 9th minute??? O.O
You actually asked s-voice "when will the world". You muttered "end" and it never heard you. Mine gives the Mayan answer and doesn't seem to realize the 21st hasalready passed.
Speaktoit was since updated and can send text-messages by voice. Things move so fast in this area that you really need to update these videos and trash the old ones every few months.
S Voice "The world is gonna end?! Im outta here!!!" lol
The problem with the iOS "banner" is that it disappears when you click on it.
With Android, the icon remains until you "Swipe it away" which is helpful. Say I'm too busy to deal with the notification, I can just leave it alone. The next time I open my phone, the icon is still there and reminds me that "oh yeah, I was supposed to deal with that earlier."
I have an ipad 2, and my old iphone 4 (which I currently use as an ipod), so I know what I'm talking about ;)
Just got the Samsung Galaxy S3 yesterday, and it is much much faster than this, I think it is an older beta version in this video
I love my 4s. Its my first iPhone. It's fast. Doesn't lag. Never freezes. I've had a lot of different android phones and I can say I will never go back. I sure as hell don't miss having to reboot/take out the battery every damn day on android. To each his own.
The joker are taking a fat?! Lol
Ok let's sum this up. Siri, even In beta form, pulverizes everything else an Samsung should be thoroughly embarrassed by its attempt at cloning Siri with s-voice
well siri was not apples idea neither, it all started with androids voice control.
Google Voice Actions can't schedule reminders or appointments days in advance, unfortunately. That's a big problem.
I've tried everything I literally possibly could but I cannot find this assistant on the play store why is it so hard to find?
Google BOUGHT this company. THIS IS Google Assistant NOW.
your forgetting siri has been out alot longer.
fair enough, i think though we can both agree the tech isnt really their yet. Getting there, but still annoying to use.
i think thats a vista wallpaper imported to the nexus
I was referring to the S Voice and not google voice.
OMG! don't you realize that this is Robin! o.O
In iOS 6 (apple next update) There will be 3D Maps, Does android have this? Siri will launch apps in iOS 6 too.
finally someone who understands
FLIP....BOARD this is a good video, best comparison yet
Best part of my android is that it doesn't get slower. Roms are amazing
Hey, I was wondering if some one could answer a doubt i have. Can you use either S voice or Google now or speak to it to send whatsapp messages? I ask this because if seen Siri work with almost on every app.
Nice Vid by the way. Kind of hoping galaxy s4 s voice is better
Siri never gets it wrong! And Svoice crashed or stopped when he asked 'when will the world end"(its hiding something) :D
s voice is like " FUCK THIS COMPARISON"
Voice recognition is more of a gimmick then actually useful.
Oh God, Batman's number is on the screen!
ERMERGERD! THE JOKER ARE TAKING A FAT! BATMAN HEEELLPP!!!
Gotta turn your sarcasm detectors on, lol its may 27th meaning the phone isn't released yet. Siri been out since October give it time.
@drbobertman nice to know that the ceo of apple knows what a bone headed move it was...
I think siri is faster, more advanced, and hears you better.
The iPhone just works. How's the battery life while multitasking? I know someone who carries his charger with him where ever he goes. (He has an Android, maybe he uses it more?) My iPhone seems to get down to about 60% at the end of a long day. Though I have seen it as low as 18% before, scared the hell out of me! (That was about 2 years ago though)
S Voice can now be ported to other androids :)
Siri stores your data in the Apple servers
Please ask them what is the best smartphone in the world in many type question. Like In the world, what is the best smartphone. What is the best smartphone. What is the best smartphone in 2012. Or something similar like that.
