Well if your cooking and your using a recipe on your phone , you may need Bixby to swipe left or right for you because your hands are full, dirty ect..
There is a setting for quick command in 'my Bixby' setting
I set when I say 'home'
It will turn off wifi n Bluetooth
Ringtone volume to 50%
Also change AOD to digital clock,
Then lock screen
I also set For command "refresh"
Where Bixby will clean memory, open recent apps and clear all recent apps then turnoff screen
Its very good combo command you can set

Maaz Hurzuk OK first of all that isn’t even artificial intelligence and Apple and Google could put that in their assistance to but you know why they do not do that it’s because no one is that lazy to do that I would never do that if I got a free Galaxy S8 I would be able to scroll by myself like a normal human are we getting this lazy and when we you Siri Siri has commands are actually useful in Bixby has commands like scrolldown and clear notifications like come on people, no one would use any of that stuff and I have a Galaxy S5 and at least Apple has Siri on all their devices and Siri does the commands that people use every day not open settings and open to the screenshot page or something like that because what happens if you don’t know all the words to say in the command what happens if he say open settings and await I don’t member the other settings inside of it so I have to go in....

Alex Papas as long as people and reviewers give them the deserved credit and attention. There have been times when Samsung releases features and are deemed as gimmicks just because it's easier to say it is. But then Google or someone else does the same and suddenly it's practical. A lot of the features present on the Dr are suddenly being implemented again
Actually, Bixby is the corner stone of Samsung's AI push. Bixby is coming to all Samsung smart devices (e.g. TV, fridge, washer/dryer, robot vacuum, etc.). Once Samsung integrates Bixby with VIV lab (which Samsung acquired while back). Bixby is going to be so much smarter.

I do understand that. But think about this. If I am able to imitate your voice and somehow get to know what is your password (since you’re speaking it out loud), I will be able to very easily access your phone. The level of security with Bixby is really low. Checking notifications isn’t a problem but unlocking a phone, just with a voice and saying your password out loud is not just a problem but a huge problem.

Darryl Bass Google is best for web based inquiries. Bixby excelles at phone functions. It can even execute multiple commands in one action. If I say, "open you tube and start screen casting to my TV" it happens. Simple commands are nothing for bixby.

You didn't mention the best selling point of Bixby: Customized voice commands. Literally by saying Good morning Bixby, you can get her to open news, turn off alarms, find out stock price, turn off do not disturb mode, etc. It's insanely good

Actually, Siri DOES have custom voice commands now, with Siri Shortcuts, which actually is extremely powerful, and can integrate with any app.
This is what Assistant should have been! I've been waiting for Google Assistant and Siri to do that for years, i wonder why they are not doing it.
Every company is copying one another these days, more importantly, it's how they can make it better and perfect it. It didn't look like it's that difficult to do.

Ever since Galaxy S8, Samsung has been ahead of the game. People buy Apple for the logo. It's some sort of a status thing. Samsungs look better and have more features. My Apple user friends always see me doing things on my Samsung and they're like, "you can do that on your phone?" They'll never admit it though
