I have an Irish gran, so I'm about a quarter. She mostly crocheted, but I remember some beautiful hand quilted hot pads that she gave us.

My grandmother an uncle and my two sisters were ginger haired.
When my sister went to Ireland to meet my younger sister to tour Europe, she was not worried about finding her at the train station, she would just look for the redhead. When see got there she was shocked to see so many redheads or as the Irish ginger haired. They had founf their 'Peeps' LOL

Was surprised to see a video from you Pat, I thought you were taking the weekends off for the rest of August! Now that I have my SLOC book, it's fun to "read along" (and pull fabrics if I have a good candidate) as you do that week's colors. I'm putting together a plan to re-visit this and do it for next year's Rainbow Scrap Challenge with So Scrappy.

After doing one of those DNA investigations done, I was totally amazed to find out that I have a lot of Irish, about 3 times higher than the Baltic I expected. ☘️

It's the week before school starts and our last family meet up for lunch and swimming. I am so excited about the jelly roll sew along. Working on secret lives and oh my stars right now. Last night was working away and oh my it was 2am when I was done. In the Sloan zone :)

Star quilt: yes, those light aqua squares RWALLY stand out, and they read solid. You could cut them up and add them to the checkerboard pieces. 😉

My DIL wanted a Christmas gift quilt to be king-sized in emerald, kelly greens and grey. I got it to her barely in time last Christmas.

There is a beautiful quilt made by tiny orchard quilts using 20 strips of a jelly roll and a piece of fabric 42 x 42 . It's very easy and fast.
My grandmother was a Kelley.
I would suggest a darker brown instead of the yellow
I would recommend checking even if it is cut by a manufacturer, one brand on at least 1 precut that I purchase was 10x9.5, some times that isn't a problem...
That's funny that you said take off....my daughter and I both took off work this morning to go to the quilt store! Now we are both back and have to make up our work time...but it was worth it! :) Crafty time together with her is the best time ever... 💕 Instead of rearranging the design wall multiple times, what if you had multiple design walls "stacked" on each other with the ability to rotate them outward like a door on hinge? Just a thought from an insomniac!! LOL A ruffle on your shark pillow would be adorable with the shark teeth fabric.

I married a redhead Irish Man
My mom insisted that we are Irish, and swore up and down that grandpa was half Irish and half English. Genealogy research showed that great grandpa’s 2nd wife was Irish, but grandpa was born to great grandpa’s 1st wife. There’s no actual Irish ancestry that I could find in our family through genealogy. 23andme showed 1-2% Irish or Scottish, but I couldn’t confirm that through genealogy either.
Too bad for you 😉 but remember everyone's Irish on St Patrick's Day March 17! 🍀
