The 08th MS Team!! This series never gets talked about. By far my favorite Gundam series
08th is one of the highest rated and most talked about Gundam series.... The Gouf scene alone is considered one of the most iconic across the entire franchise lol.

Indeed. One battle per series (either best or final battle).
Exia showing up again in the 2nd season of 00 was such an immaculate scene. Some of the viewers forgot the Exia due to 00 Raiser's overwhelming capabilities and hype. But the moment Exia dove into the battlefield with bravado for one last mission, the childhood in me just screamed.
I think the battle of the Kshatriya and Stark Jegan from Gundam Unicorn deserves a mention. Really good stuff.
I would say that the Air Raid in Gundam Hathaway deserves a place on this list for the sheer scale and weight of the mecha it portrayed along with its impacts on the civilians. But as a longtime Gundam and mecha fan, I would have put Norris vs Shiro at the top of my list as well!

Missing a classic mech fight, Max Sterling vs Miriya form Robotech / Macross Saga. Perhaps some of the earliest - and greatest animated dog fighting scenes played against an amazing sound track

Gundam Wing - Wing Zero vs Epyon The Final Battle to save Earh & The Space Colonies was a Gundam Classic.
That fight subverted expectations and was meaningless, they keep holding back and the “releana will be sad” ruin it no wonder it’s not on the list.

@@user-em6ie2be7x Wing boring and mediocre pacing was slow, characters were one dimensional (releana was a nightmare) and story was a mess particularly on the second half.
The fight between Kira in the Freedom vs Rau in the Providence is another great fight. Ange in Villkiss & Tusk vs Embryo and Hysterica in the Cross Ange final.
Cool list. I think what I would have added are Gundam Thunderbolt. The MS fight in the city in Hathaway with how epic and to-scale it all felt. And Eureka's introduction as the Iron Maiden in Hi-Evolution 3. From the sequence of her mech dropping from orbit to putting the enemy mechs in their place. It was one hell of a scene.

I have to hand it to Sunrise & Gainax, they definitely knew how to put on a show involving mecha battles, especially when some of them have beautiful, fluid, & detailed animation.
Sunrise makes the best animes.
Sucks that Megas XLR didn't make the cut in the list. It was underrated and way ahead of its time in the Mecha genre.

Barbatos vs Hashmal may be a great fight in all of IBO but I think Mikazuki vs Carta Issue or Mikazuki's last stand are still the best of the best. The former started tekkadan's true mission while the latter signifies the end they have all been looking for.

Mikazuki vs Carta was just a complete stomp, which perfectly demonstrated how powerful Barnatos and Mika are

Having no entry from Full metal panic is a crime in my eyes. Gundam had many memorable moments, but Full Metal Panic had also really neat and impactful scenes

If you wanted a Code Geass R2 battle, then it should have been the final episode: Guren Seiten vs. Lancelot Albion. Now that's a great one.

14:43 Brad Swaille voiced Amuro Ray in the English dub of Mobile Suit Gundam 1979 while Toru Furuya voiced Amuro Ray in the original Japanese voice in the same show.

So many fantastic mech battles here but I want to give spotlight to setsuna and ribbons' final battle in 00 going from 00 gundam vs reborns to exia repair 2 vs 0 gundam, it was absolutely epic.
I love that fight but I like the final battle in the first season better.
Gundam 00 had a lot of cool fightscenes from season 1 to2 and up to the movie...
The fights between Nirvash Type 0 and Type The End is criminally overlooked!
Surprised the final battle from Zeta isn’t on here. That was a great four-way battle between Kamille, Char, Scirocco and Haman.
Almost half this list is Gundam and that makes me happy. ^_^

Glad to see 86 in here, though I might point to other fights for sheer technical skill.
It’s criminal that not one of the many just spectacular mecha battles in Gundam 0083 Stardust Memory aren’t featured.
Yeah, Mobile Armor vs. Mobile Armory was quite a sight back then.
The music that goes with the early part of that Getter Robo Armageddon scene is sooooo good.
What about Impulse Gundam vs. Freedom Gundam from Seed: Destiny? I am surprised that fight didn't even make the list.
One that is Heresy you left out was Musashi's Last Stand from Shin Getter Robo vs Neo Getter Robo. Musashi, piloting a Getter Robo by himself, holding off the Dinosaur Empier and their Mechasaurus troops. Its a beautiful animated rendition of the scene from the original Getter Robo and the ending is just *chef's fucking kiss*.
Season 2 of 00 Gundam episode 14 that battle where we finally get the seraphim reveal was 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

My older brother was a huge Gundam fan and he still is. Now, he's 34 years old, he's 5 years older than me.
So many 80s and 90s mech movies I didn't know about that have that glorious animation and art 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
I don’t know why it took me so long to finally watch this list, Mecha and Anime are 2 of my all time favorite things and combining them is just pure awesomeness!
Big O is definitely an underrated mech anime. Also Dan from GunXSword should have been on the list too imo
Personally woulda thrown at least one G-Witch fight up there. Both Aerial vs Grassley and Aerial Rebuild vs Calibarn are fantastic fights.
Also, while Lancelot Albion vs Galahad is a great debut showing off how OP it is, gotta say overall the fight has nothing on the climactic Lancelot vs Guren showdown, c'mon.
EZ-8 vs Gouf Custom is so good. 08th MS Team is my second favorite anime of all time.
I would also add the fight between Mazinkaiser and the General of Darkness.
I feel that Domon vs Master Asia should have been much higher on the list because of the emotional impact the final fight between them held. Also, how could Team Dai Gurren vs Anti-Spiral not be number 1? the Anti-Spiral use an attack that is literally quoted to be on par with the birth of the universe in terms of sheer power. I'm not complaining about number 1 being a Gundam battle, its just that Gurren Lagann's last battle literally had them fight on a galaxy.

If you've watched the Gundam series up to Char's Counterattack, Nu Gundam vs Sazabi means SO MUCH. Seeing that at #13, and under several other Gundam fights, is just depressing.
Also you showed the Camille vs Sriraco fight in the intro and didn't list it. That was a damn good fight. Not to mention the other fight happening at the same time, Hyaku Shiki vs Quebelly.
Unicorn Gundam VS Sinaju (Full Armour) and the best entrance to the battlefield
The battle from Gundam Thunderbolt between FA Gundam and Psycho Zaku should be in the list. That was a crazy battle if you've seen it.

Genesic GaoGaiGar vs. Palparepa Prajna from the FINAL OVA should have been added to this list for at least in the top 3 greatest mecha fights yes, I liked the emotional turmoil between GaoFighGar vs. Repli-GaoGaiGar but this fight is just much more RAW

The Gundam franchise could've filled the list by itself with all the iconic battles it has, but you guys picked some good ones. Other fights worthy of inclusion off the top of my head would've been the last stand of Barbatos Lupus Rex, Zeta Gundam vs The O, and the Battle of Torrington Base / Gundam Unicorn vs Mobile Armor Shamblo in RE:0096.

Excellent list, I would've love to see a fight from the animes and movies: Gun X Sword, Brave Express Might Gaine, Mazinger Z Infinity (movie) Kyatto Ninden Teyandee (Samurai Pizza Cats), Cross Ange, Full Metal Panic, Dragonnar, Magic Knight Rayearth (if Jujutsu Kaisen was on this, so another not full mecha show can be it) and others.
Since when did Jujutsu Kaisen have mechs? It's not a mecha series.
I feel Zoids didnt make the list cuz no one ever remembers it. Van vs the ultimate Deathsuarur at the end of Zoids Giardian force was amazing and definitely deserved a spot amongst best mecha battles. I mean how many other mecha pilotes can say they piloted their mech fired out of a giant cannon?...
Yep. This channel only lists main stream things. The same dozen or so shows that get mentioned over and over. I personally would have gone with Liger Zero vs Berserk Fury though. Anyone who watched Cartoon Network back in 2000 new that show.

An underrated fight that should've been on this list is the fight between the KG-6 Sleipner and the Tharsis in Aldnoah Zero.

Never been a mecha fan tbh, but Voltron was the only one(if considered anime that I ever really enjoyed) also code Geass! As the concept is really similar to deathnote(which is my favorite anime) if u remove the Mecha part!
It is criminal that this list fails to include the Liger Zero VS Berserk Fury from Zoids. Sure lets give multiple Gundam franchise entries on this list, but not another of the classics.

I think that at least one entry should be for original Mazinger Z, Mazinkaizer or Mazinger Z: Infinity.

Forget the fight with the Hashmal, you guys should have picked the last fight that Barbatos had against a whole fleet.
