Love the crochet projects that you pick to teach us. I have made almost everyone. Since I do not read patterns yet I depend on you. Thanks so much. Rhonda
You are amazing Young Lady. Fantastic project. Love it. I watched Part 1 and 2. Just concentration and patience that is required. CONGRATULATIONS and BRAVO. Thanks for sharing. xxx
This teaches us basic construction and we can make it as colorful and exciting as we wish 😻. I imagine a colorful square on the front, on top of the other squares, near the hips, as pockets. Thanks for the video ✌️
I am thinking of putting a satin lining in my version of your sweater. I don't want the sleeves tapered, but more like the sleeves of a suit jacket. BobWilson, I have silently watched your videos and shared your joys and your sorrows. You are certainly a model for others to follow. Bless you!
I'm just now getting back into crocheting after over 35 years. I had a stroke in Feb and lost the right side vision in BOTH eyes. I've been doing vision therapy since a week after my stroke (my arms and legs are fine, only vision problems)Anyway I made your basket which didn't turn out perfect, but I'm very happy with it. Crochet is very good vision therapy ect. but the written instructions are difficult for me to follow. I am VERY appreciative of your very easy to watch, understand and follow tutorials.
+Lisa DeLuca Oh my, you look so young! Too young to have had a stroke, and too young to have been crocheting 35 years ago. I too am taking up crocheting after nearly 35 years, not since my early twenties for sure. I can empathize with your stroke, my husband had a stroke early 7 years ago, will be years in March. I'm disabled myself, and my body is falling apart piece by piece. I use crochet to give me something to do, day after day, AND I have something to show for it! Best of luck to you. :)
I've been searching for something like this for a while I'm so glad I ran across your video. I really like the granny squares and was wondering if I could make a jacket or sweater from this. Thanks so much for taking the time demo and post.
Hi Clair ! I made the granny square jacket or cardigan and I just wanted to let you know I added a hood and pockets with it and I have to make another one because my sister in law asked me to make her one to as well.
My dearest Clare, you never know how many of such cardigans ive tried to make since my babygirl is born. Never ever i could just finished one because i didnt know how.Thank you for this tutorial so much. The young Lady inbetween she is one :-) would love to have such now with a hoody and some kind of V neck where the hoddy starts. Could you please if you have time, explain how i could handle this? warm ( bitter cold) greeting from snowy Germany :-)
Hi Clare..i have done the body..before doing the sleeves can i do the button band..i need confidence to handle the sleeves.. i always admire your humour ..it goes a long way for me.
G'day Eliz Lawrence thank you for your comment, SO sorry for the slow rely, its a crazy busy time of year, yes you can do the button band before completing the sleeves
Clare said yes, just make the granny squares smaller. One way to achieve this is to do fewer rounds on the squares. Another way is to use a much smaller yarn and hook to make the squares.
hi there can you please make a video on how to crochet a bag with round handles??i have here a pair of a plastic round handle but i dont know how to begin my project..i love all your work and it inspires me actually i've done a lot most are hat..thanks for ur video..
Hi, if you talking about the front of the jacket, yes yo could BUT be careful, by sewing it together if may make the jacket tighter and you will not be able to get it on LOL
Could I be so bold as to recommend the pattern for the Hoodeanie? Add two or three extra rows on the bottom edge so you have room to sew it to the collar of the jacket. (That's what I am doing, at least.)
I love this! :oD I have a question. How many balls of yarn do you use for this project for this size? if one ball is 50 grams? Lots of love from Norway! (where its very cold so this would be perfect!)
I'vw been crocheting since when i was high school now i am 45 yrs old,bck then i always do table cloth/runner but not something to wear, kindly do granny square jacket with hood pleasee
Triangle granny would work but i dont know how i couldt start from the middle ( front) with the hood) In case something would jump in your mind...please let me know :-)

Oh Clare!! They took away video responses!! I tried to send my pullover as a response here, but it won't let me cause TH-cam took this option out. But if you would like to, feel free to annotate me here!

Bobwilson123 has a list of granny squares in the playlist section. There are many beautiful ones to choose from.
This jacket is very pretty.
TO make it a V neck you can add a triangle granny on each side and I am unsure on how to make a hood

Is it just me or is the gray yarn really squeaky? I've used it a few times and it has a different texture than other colors.
