    Thank you for showing this tutorial it is easy to follow and I like the finished product. also I'm glad you showed an option to making the hood deeper if you run into issues.

    Im almost done. I changed it a bit and did the hood a little off center so I would have one side of the scarf longer than the other, in hopes to wrap a few times around then I want to attatch a few large buttons. I hpoe it works out I will try and post a photo when Im done. Thank you soooo much !! You are the best teacher. :)

    HI here ! I would suggest still doing the chain 2 or even a chain 1 and then do a half double crochet stitch in to the 1st stitch.. when you crochet back across do you half double crochet stitch into the hdc not the chain stitch

    I hold my hook the same way you do and I find it MUCH easier to work with it that way. I've tried the pencil way and I mess up the stitches like crazy. Don't let ppl give you crap for it lol :)

    You could probably use any style stitch, just the the shape as a basic pattern :)

    I make the chains loose, or you can use the half double crochet foundation row :)

    Hi, you need to weave the ends in, by getting a large eye needle and weaving the tails of your yarn in between the stitches

    You can use double crochet, the work will be more of a open weave and not so warm

    I used a 6.5mm hook and 2 strands of 8ply/dk/sports weight yarn
    hope this helps you
    YOu can also use 1 strand of worsted weight yarn and a 5.5mm/I hook

    I like how u showed step by step.im going to try and make one.by the way I can't do pattern. the video is better for me .and with people like u showing step by step slowly it mean a lot to me.i can only can make some thing. but I'm tired of makes the same old stuff.     @kgo30 I think if you make a scarf and then make a seperate hood (just a rectangle ) then sew them together

    Hi there, Instead of using plain yarn use fluffy yarn and plain together as this make s it easy to see the stitches. Then follow the video to make the edge :)

    Hi , you can use 2 separate balls or you can use one strand for the middle of the ball and one form the outside

    Depending on where you liek and what yarn is available for you . I used a 4mm hook / g hook and 8ply/DK/Sport weight yarn. YOu can use 1 strand of worsted weight 4ply and a 5.5mm hook

    from memory it took me 4 x 50gm balls, 100 grams is 3.5 ounces, so it would take about 7 ounces

    hi there, I have not tried it with that yarn as we do not get it here in Australia, I wouldnt make it to thick as it may be too stiff and not have a nice drape
