I just wanted to let you know that you're awesome. I am 17 years old and I have watched my mom knit and crochet ever since I was little. I always wanted to learn how to crochet and when I found your channel I was in heaven. Your videos are so easy to fallow that even when I was beginning I could keep up. You have taught me so much! Thank you!!!
Terrific lesson, as usual. You never disappoint. I love it when you show the wildlife around your home. These birds are so beautiful. I live in the city and I'm house bound due to disability so I see wildlife only on the computer screen, but I used to love the out-of-doors. Thank you for sharing so generously.
Hello again, Down Under. It's me, Up Over ;) Lovely pattern. Nice and calm teacher. I usually sew the buttons onto the strap first making a shank depending on thickness of yarn. Thanks for all the time and money you spend on making these for us. Yours, Mary
Thanks a lot for this tutirial. I've already made three pairs for friends and family. They loved them!!! Thanks for being so kind to take the time, share, and teach the ones who are starting the journey of this amazing art!
You must be so proud of you're creations..I love your videos...I've always crocheted since I was was young but you have no idea how much taught me since I've been watching your tutorials. I just sit at my computer and start working along with you...and it seems as if I'm crocheting with a good friend..Thanx again...Olga from Laredo, Texas. USA..btw..love ur accent!
I made of pair of fingerless gloves for my daughter a few years ago. Her co workers are always asking for pairs for them. These here are a easy, but kind of chunky. I've found that people prefer less chunky ones. I love the Vana's Choice's yearn, they come in great colors and most are machine washable. I also love bobwilson123's videos, they're easy to follow, and I love the ones where she's talking about her yarn hoarding. I'm the same way. Any store that carries yarn calls me to buy them
After a great deal of frustration (messing up the pattern due to lack of concentration and mainly over the thumb area) I have fallen in love with this pattern. The gloves are warm and gorgeous. Thanks for a great pattern
I have been crocheting a year now and have done several projects from your videos and have started adding my own changes to suit my tastes. I made these gloves yesterday and they are great! Cheers from Washington State, USA.
Thanks for this one, Clare! I've been making them "in the round" because I didn't know how to follow another way until saw this! Love the wrist strap with the button! I finish mine off (top & bottom) with either small picot stitches or small shell stitches & make some up to the elbows as well. HAPPY HOOKING! Thanks for all you do for the rest of us as we learn so much from wonderful you!
Very pretty stitch. I love wristies, so nice to keep my hands warm and still be able to use my fingers. I'm making wristies for my 2 daughters and my 2 daughters in law and 4 granddaughters.
thank you for this pattern, very simple and FABULOUS!!! On the last row I added some fun fur with the hdc and it looks great. Made them for my beautiful granddaughter and she is going to love them. Thanks Again for the great video, you make it so easy to learn.
Thank you so much for your tutorial! I did exactly the same way you did your own gloves and they look just great! I'm on my way to make one pair for my BF and another for my younger brother! God bless your talent!
First off, the color is just fine, I followed along nicely. I have done numerous patterns of yours and I contribute my skill to you! You have taught me well! I personally want to say thank you for all the videos and patterns you give. Crochet has literally saved my family. We struggle badly financially and by making crochet items, I get to make money which helps keep food on our table. Thank you for everything! Also...my hands must be smaller than yours, I only had 18 to start with!!! =)
Congratulations! You have officially helped me understand how a Foundation Chain Stitch works! I'm finally looking forward to using it. Thanks Claire! You make it so fun and easy! "Huggs"
I made mine with thick soft chunky yarn of rich purple; 3/4 way up the forearm. Had no problem with the pattern whatsoever, it is wonderfully adaptable. The only modification I did was to do a line of slip-stitches around the edges, they help to keep the shape of the glove and keep it nicely in place even without the strap. But that was Because of the yarn being what it was. And my hands really are toasty warm now :) Thank you for the tutorial! Keep up the great work!
Just wanted to say thanks for making this video on fingerless gloves! You go slow enough to follow and have a great camera for zooming in. Looking forward to future videos!
Being a UK dweller we use 8 ply too.. I bought worsted weight from the US especially for this project so my excitement for my new yarn matched yours :)
I've made loads of your patterns.....all with ease as I am left handed and don't understand how to read a pattern...you make it so easy for me....thank you so very much xx
These are fantastic and your tutorial makes them impossible to mess up...Love, love love..thank you for taking your time and all the work you put into your projects....
I sometimes watch Spanish (or is it Italian they are speaking), cuz with video, as long as they go slowly enough so that you don't miss a step, it doesn't matter what they say, you can still watch. Which is lucky for me, cuz sometimes the sound doesn't always work, and these are nice and clear!
Thank you so much: Your advice worked. I finished one glove last night with the new instruction and it is perfect! I walk dogs so these gloves are perfect for keeping warm and doing the jobs required with dogs. Love your tutorial. Many thanks.
Thanks a lot for this tutorial^^ . I got such bigggg holes between my stiches that i kept laughing like a beast all the time:) I'm not so skilled in crochet but i really enjoyed this project. I'll try as soon as possible do re-do them. Kisses from Italy
You make everything sound so simple.... so very easy to understand and wow I am going to have to get myself some worsted yarn, such a big difference to our 8 ply yarn here in Oz... I love looking at Lion Brand for patterns so will now order a few different balls of worsted yarn. Thanks for all of your uploads I love them all :)
these are so cute and you make your videos so easy to follow. i used your beanie hat tutorial and put a bow on it and next i am making these gloves. i can't wait! :)
These are so easy you really dont' need a pattern. It will maybe take you a pair or two to find the width and length you like. I love the idea of a button to change the length!
This is a awesome video!! I love how clear and informative it is. I was able to understand and follow the pattern exactly. What I love about your crochet is the detail in the work you do. It's very unique and that's what I love. Thank you
thank you so much for this tutorial... I made this as a Christmas gift for my mother in Law.. and she Loved it so much, now she want me to make two pairs again because her friends Like it also. Merry Christmas and advance happy new year...
You are way too awesome and easy to follow 😊 I love your videos, I've made 3 sets of these gloves and they all came out beautifully comfortable! Thank you for sharing!!!
Hi! I just made the cozy fingerless gloves. they turned out great. I really enjoyed working along with you. only took me a couple hours and they were done. I did later add a finger flip to them because it gets very cold here. Thanks for the video. I am looking forward to doing more projects with you
I love watching your videos you make it so easy to follow I made my first hat I think from following one of your crochet shave videos and I'm going to watch several more of them to make other things I do like how you show close-ups of things of where to go in a stitch so I can follow I've learned so much from you already don't stop making videos I just finished watching the fingerless glove crochet video and I'm going to make a pair of those because they're fancier than the ones I have even the other ones I made I love and they're much easier to make than the ones you've shown but yours are fancier and I want to make a pair of fancy ones I hope mine can come out as good as yours though I think I will have a little trouble with the thumb but I will improvise I think if I can and thank you so much for leaving the camera on to show those red birds they were beautiful and never seen birds like that before and it was so calming to watch them watch them again 10 years experience at crocheting you sure are putting it to good use by helping us beginners I'm not quite a beginner but I haven't crocheted in a long time so I'm relearning how to do things and you have been the best help ever so thank you and God bless Punkie
great tutorial! i used dk yarn and needed more rows. that's the first useful thing i ever crocheted. looking forward to do more of your stuff. the bows are next :). thank you!
Clare! Awesome! Thank you once again! You know, after watching you videos. I've noticed I start doing the Aussie accent thrown in. With my Pittsburgh accent. Quite a combination!
i only very recently started trying to crochet seriously ( like i could make a chain, a single crochet stitch for like a very plain blanket or something and a few simple flowers from a children's craft i bought for my kids)... so first i tried a few different free written patters online with very few pictures and i'd get stuck on like step 5 or 6... then i was like SMH, why didn't i think of this first TH-cam TUTORIALS!!! ...and i thought i'd be looking and looking to find someone i could really follow along with, but found you soo quick and I'm soooo happy I did! I've made scoodies for both of my daughters and now am making these adorable gloves to match! i am thinking of making an attached mitten top that can be on the fingers or folded back to allow use of the fingers... am I making sense? If so, could you please make a video showing me how to do this?

thanks you and thanks for watching
Thank you so much for the patterns.I love them all.
Yes it will try to curl and wont lay flat, but it will straighten after more rows :)
I have been trying to make fingerless gloves from a pattern book. So frustrated! I'm pretty sure there's an error. So I came to YT to see what else I could find. Your gloves caught my eye right away. Watched the video and now can't wait to try them. I have to get some worsted first--all I have is sock yarn. But I know I'm going to enjoy making these. They are so cute! Thank you.
Thank you and thank-you for watching
Finally finished my pair of these. They are so comfy, the seam was annoying and took a few tries but they came out good
These remind me of Sweeney Todd's gloves! They are so awesome!
You're a good teacher. thanks
Cozy Fingerless Gloves Crochet Tutorial
it looks complicated, actually not at all. i made one and my husband warned me that my daughters would take it away from me once they saw it. I'm prepared for that. lol thank you for this wonderful tutorial!
hmm that is a good question, I am not sure how to do that, you would need to decrease it somehow but I think by doing that it will put of the ribbing :( YOu could try dropping down hook sizes and this will make the stitches tighter therefor making it slightly smaller
amazing video! I'm still pretty new to crochet, and was able to follow with zero issues (sans I think I did the front post backwards, but I simply turned the glove inside our :D). Adorable pattern, and very warm
Hi
Have you got the pattern to down load please, I had not done any crocheting for 40 years and only then just made basic squares now with your tutorial I am now making flower square etc. Glad I found you, I lived in Australia for 3 years when I was a child.
I LOVE THIS . I tried to do this but I made my glove way to big so I'll have to do the whole thing over again . So I'll try again :)
I would say you are adding a stitch at some point. I think you may be putting a double crochet in the same stitch as the front post double crochet. Be sure to double check and see if you are going into the next stitch or the same stitch as the front post double crochet.
If that is what you yarn recommends then yes, id its smaller that what it recommends then the stiches will be a little tighter and if its bigger then it will be loosser
HI . I am SO sorry for the slow reply, my computer broke and I am only now getting caught up with my messages :)
Yes it should be I used a 100gm ball to make these
made a pair for my older sister. now the younger sister wants a pair. Now gotta rewatch the video to figure out how to make these a year later, lol.
use the hit or miss method. try the measurement of your palm under your thumb, that's a good judgement. Then make as long as you want. It's a perfect rectangle, then keep about a two inch slit in the side as you join them about an inch or two from the top. Confused yet? LOL they are easy, just takes a little practice. bobwilson123 does a great job with her videos, and she's really funny
I love these gloves.
