The Flowmaster Flow FX dual exhaust sounds, and is a lot cheaper than the Borla.
But it’s cheaper to order directly from the manufacturer because Extreme Terrain tacks on a 35-40% markup. At least they did with the 3 small mods that I ordered from them / you.
I’ll Never buy anything from you rip off artists again

Also... Carven's Kit is a hybrid cat back. it can be converted from a full tail pipe exit to an over the axle dump kit for off-road situations! Thanks again ET!

I swapped out my factory exhaust for the Flowmaster Outlaw extreme in this video. I love it on my 2022 TRD Off-road. I just returned from an 1800 mile round trip to Alabama and back and while I do have drone in the cab, it didn’t kill our ears. Set the cruise control to 75mph and didn’t have to turn the radio up much to hear it. There’s a video short on my channel or the first start up after installing it. Purchased from Extreme Terrain!

I’m not as interested in sound as I am in effective disposal of exhaust . I am considering a K&N cold air intake. You have any thoughts ?

What if any kind of performance do you gain from an exhaust system on a V6 Tacoma? Is a true dual exhaust better for performance (gas, power, torque) than a single exhaust system?

    • @ExtremeTerrainToyota
      @ExtremeTerrainToyota  ปีที่แล้ว +2

Any of the exhaust systems shown will gain you around 5 to 10 HP according to manufacturer dyno testing. Without further tuning or removal of catylitic converters - the difference between single and dual exhaust systems on these trucks really comes down looks. Thanks for watching! -Zach

    Ok,
I own a 23 Tacoma TRD Off Road double cab, 6’ bed.
I’m retired and drive less than 10K miles per year.
I plan on keeping my Tacoma until I can no longer drive or I’m dead (about 20 years, if I’m lucky).
I’m looking for an exhaust system that will last for as long as possible, so it’ll have to be the 304 Stainless Steel.
I’m looking for an exhaust system that has a Deep Throaty sound, but no drone in the cab.
I like the Carven, the Flowmaster FlowFX sound.
I want the exhaust to give my 3.5L V6 more horsepower and torque.
I did install a K&N cold air intake and I will be installing an Overland Tailor Tune (Mild / Medium setting).
Which exhaust system would you recommend ?
I know that nothing will sound as good as the dual exhaust system that I had on my Mustang with the 5.0L V8, but I’d like to get as close to that sound as I can with my 3.5 in my Tacoma.
I do some off roading, but my truck is mainly used for trips to the city (1/2 an hour away). We make several trips to Spokane and Seattle every year, but in a few years we’re relocating to Libby Montana area, so our trips (Costco) is 90 miles one way, or down to Polson, Billings, Missoula, etc.
I usually set my cruise on 75mph in Washington and 85mph in Montana.
Yes I’m an old duffer, but I Love a Great sounding truck.
    I’d prefer a Dual exhaust.
Again, what would you recommend for a Deep Throaty sound with no or mild drone in the cab ?
The exhaust would come out behind the rear wheels.

Go with the AWE true dual exhaust. It's worth every penny. Sounds great with a nice deep tone and no drone in the cabin. I'm 100% satisfied with it

Borla Single exhaust sounds the smoothest. The others sound raspy
