@@bonewizard That’s cool. All the subclasses are wack, so all things considered, you’re doing a good job. But these are just suggestions. Take your time to do what you want, but I hope this helps for a (maybe) future video for you buffed monk.
Sometimes i have a strong feeling that designers in WoC are just like: Designer one: Damn... What subclass should we make...? Designer two: *(Watching anime instead of work)* Designer one: You're a genius!
Me slamming my keyboard, "What the f*** did you just f****** say about me, you little b****? I'll have you know I graduated top of my class in the..." This is a reference to the gif that's being played alongside the request that we comment on the video. 10:25
AT LONG LAST! I FIND SOMEONE OTHER THAN ME TAKING ISSUE WITH THE M E R C Y MONK! Though to be fair, I could see Mercy Monk's aesthetic working better with a more 'acupuncture'/pressure point design. Perhaps a blend with the Open Hand monk. Also: * I imagine 4 Elements should either be turned into 4+ separate Monk fighting styles, or 5 separate Monk subclasses (A fire/lightning Monk, a water/ice Monk, an air monk, an earth monk, and a druid monk). * Those Sun Monk buffs are cool (I feel like I'd want to do more with it, but there's only so much that can be done with 5e's system as it is without an overhaul).
mercy monk is such a poorly designed mess. 4 elements will probably keep all 4 of its elements. or something. Still figuring that out. Keep in mind if you have magic sword, your sun bolts gain the effects of the magic sword because of improved dedicated weapon. So that opens some doors to some weird combos.
Regarding four elements monk, maybe an approach that can be taken could be similar to the storm herald barbarian where you pick a subtype within the subclass, each subclass feature is able to modify something that already exists. Maybe the high level feature at 17th level can be the ability to shift between these different forms as a bonus action at the cost of …2ki points. It’s a ridiculous idea, but it’s something at least
@@iselreads2908 I suppose the question is what is wanted out of the Elements monk. * Option A): An elemental specialist; you pick one element and stick with it, taking it down some path within that element (to reference AtLA: firebending > lightning bending or magma bending). High level features put your abilities on overdrive (such as being able to ignore resistance/immunity) and access extremely powerful combat or utility options. * Option B): An elemental generalist; you gain a set of general abilities as well as abilities with changeable elements, gaining some sort of temporary super form (like a paladin does) at high levels (again comparing to AtLA: the Avatar as well as spirit/chi benders; alternatively, Ying-Yang Release from Naruto).
My Keyboard says: This Monk Subclass has a great story and i think it's worth a watch for anyone interested to see the full video on the monk class in action and the whole process and how to do the job and the whole story in a way you could easily see how it goes.
Really love these videos, but truly just love the thought and designs for the class reworks. Seriously just good, logical, and fun stuff to have for the game.

Sometimes i have a strong feeling that designers in WoC are just like:
Designer one: Damn... What subclass should we make...?
Designer two: *(Watching anime instead of work)*
Designer one: You're a genius!
Buddy, I just saw your Buffing Monk video and sent it to my DM for approval, AND I PLAY A SUNSOUL MONK THIS IS TOO PERFECT!!
Have fun!
Yep, shes a brownie, sun soul monk. I totaly thought she was a Sorcereress
Can't wait for the symbiote warlock video, a month ago I just finished the game, and the symbiote gameplay is just RAW.
fantastic video and fantastic buffs as usual
Thank you!
Me slamming my keyboard, "What the f*** did you just f****** say about me, you little b****? I'll have you know I graduated top of my class in the..."
This is a reference to the gif that's being played alongside the request that we comment on the video. 10:25
So glad i hot this comment. I was hoping to get at least one haha
PRAISE THE SUN ☀️
I am here for the storyline, the buffs are just a treat
First time I play a monk I was a sun soul monk, and this video makes me wish I was playing this version of the subclass
AT LONG LAST! I FIND SOMEONE OTHER THAN ME TAKING ISSUE WITH THE
M E R C Y
MONK!
Though to be fair, I could see Mercy Monk's aesthetic working better with a more 'acupuncture'/pressure point design. Perhaps a blend with the Open Hand monk.
Also:
* I imagine 4 Elements should either be turned into 4+ separate Monk fighting styles, or 5 separate Monk subclasses (A fire/lightning Monk, a water/ice Monk, an air monk, an earth monk, and a druid monk).

I suppose the question is what is wanted out of the Elements monk.
Amazing video, I've always thought this subclass needed an overhaul. Great job.
Glad you enjoyed it!
My Keyboard says: This Monk Subclass has a great story and i think it's worth a watch for anyone interested to see the full video on the monk class in action and the whole process and how to do the job and the whole story in a way you could easily see how it goes.
So true
Hey, Bone Wizard, just wanna tell you we appreciate you, youre a valuable asset to the DND community, keep up the good work.
Awww thanks man. Hope the videos are helping your game.
Really love these videos, but truly just love the thought and designs for the class reworks. Seriously just good, logical, and fun stuff to have for the game.
Glad you enjoy it!
I just found this channel randomly and have been bingeing your videos. You're really great! I can't believe you don't have more subscribers

Im really enjoying the Monks vs Mages of the Shoreline story, the toolbox arc was fun but this one looks good too
Love the work you have been doing. Us monk players love you!
Much appreciated! More to come.
Your work on monks are really inspiring me to play more monks

Glad you like the videos! And Praise RNGESUS!
can't wait to use this for a warforged mercenary based off of a armored core that i am going to send after my party
Haha, thats sick.
Glad I decided to rewatch this from the link on the short. I forget to Like it last time.
My man!
Super proud, a monk I'd love to see is a psychic monk. Like an empath, reading someone's mind to predict attacks, calming raging beasts by redirecting their ki, enhancing their bodies with ki to perform feats of great athleticism
Love your work. Commenting for the algorithm
