The 1016 Industries Vision Widebody kit for the McLaren 720S is nearing completion with this fully 3D printed prototype! Complete body panel replacement, 110mm wider, full carbon construction and CFD optimized. This kit is absurd in person, an amazing design that takes the aggression of the McLaren 720S to the next level. It will be limited to 30 kits worldwide, contact 1016 for more details. I had this awesome opportunity to come out and see this 3D printed kit on the development car in Michigan, obviously quite rough but this process bodes well for future rapid prototyping and development of insane projects.

I can't wait to see the final product. 3D printing has really expedited product development. Simply awesome.

Looks sick! Clicked on the video right away because I just finished 3D scanning. Modeling. And printing parts for my car.

What 3D printer is that? Because the biggest one we got is about 2 feet x 6 feet in a print. But again you usually avoid making big whole parts.

Hi Eddie, I’ve been a follower for a long time and an engineering student as well. In the video you said you’re a former engineer? Do you only do journalism now or what happened to you working as engineer?

Thanks for the support! After a couple years working as a mechanical engineer I discovered I didn't really like it. My full time job is Director of Marketing at HP Tuners, TH-cam is a hobby in my spare time!

@@EddieX thank you for the reply! I’m in electrical engineering and my brother-in-law has also started to lose interest in his field because of its repetitive nature. Good luck!
