The only one I really cared to watch was Bordeaux's recruiting vid when the game first came out. Watched a couple of others and they said some helpful stuff but I tuned most of it out cause it was just yapping. And I agree, in this 5 min video, it was more informative than like 3 other people's 35 min - 1 hour videos
for those struggling with the numbers concept, the players just need to average better than a C (technically between a C and C+ is the threshhold) to hard/soft sell. Meaning A-, B-, C- = sell, while B-, C-, D- = no sell
@ you can turn every letter grade from D- to A+ into a number to simplify it. D- : 1 D: 2 D+ : 3 C- : 4 C: 5 C+ : 6 Etc. If you turn a players letter grades into numbers, the player just needs to average higher than 5. So if a player has four C-, three B-, a D and two Bs, we can turn each of those into numbers before adding them up and dividing by 10 (the amount of grades.) We come up with 5.5, which is greater than 5; therefore, we know to hard/soft sell the player
I've been looking at quite a few videos about dynasty but they were all unclear and non detailed. This video was simple, straight to the point and I came away with some useful, please keep making more videos like this.
Nice video! Heres another thing probably worth testing - Soft selling the non-ideal pitch but has 2 motivations with good grades and a third that is not a motivation but also has a good grade appears to outperform friends and family as well by a decent margin.
Amazing video, you’re the first person I think to point out hard selling isn’t always the right move WITH the math behind it… You get a sub my man, love putting math and logic into this game
I think this was a great breakdown. For some reason, the letters weren’t clicking for me in terms of how much interest they would accrue. But converting them to numbers makes it quite easy to analyze which move to perform. Great work, and happy playing. 💪🏼
Bro this is amazing. I just be hard selling everybody when I get the ideal pitch and sometimes it doesn’t work and I’ve always wondered why. This makes total sense
Max love your videos. This is the most valuable one you have ever done. Thanks. There was a patch today tweaking hard sell and soft sells. Could you please do more research and a new video on the changes and if you still need a 17+ etc. thanks.
It’s worth noting that the 5 hour activity is pretty crappy. It’s good to know how the soft sell + 5 hr compares head to head to the 25 hr, but in many cases it’s just as useful to just know that a sell with B and above grades is going to outperform the 25. Soft sell with good grades along with DM is the most efficient use of hours. I stick those two on any guy that doesnt have any recruiting competition and I just want to progress the recruiting bar efficiently. Meanwhile hard sell costs double the soft sell without being twice as good, however when you pair it with the hyper efficient DM, you’re getting a very efficient use of 50 points. I use hard sell whenever I feel any pressure from another school on a recruit, knowing that this 50 hour combo is a decently efficient use of time while also generating a lot of progress.
i dont write comments much but this video is exactly what i need and how i think a lot of videos should be made. thats exactly my kind of video, instant sub

@@maxplayscfb in the test that I ran, my recruit had two D's and a b for his interest grades. I thought for certain it would be better to just send the house. I was wrong. @@SimFootballFanatic you can’t compare a STH vs. hard/DM experiment to a f&f vs. soft/sm experiment. After each week I would remove the pitch you just did and use sway to run the method just mentioned. And to get to unlock the pitches when first recruiting faster I would just send the house to the players I’m most interested in. Awesome! Thank you!
First off great video Max! 💯 Also when you use sway you can unlock some of the other pitches that are X’d out thus giving you more options for more pitches and increasing your chances of giving them a better pitch. After each week I would remove the pitch you just did and use sway to run the method just mentioned. And to get to unlock the pitches when first recruiting faster I would just send the house to the players I’m most interested in. Also don’t waste your time scouting unless you’re going position specific.
Also would really love to get a big group of people to do a big dynasty lol it’s always been my dream. Reply to my comment if interested! Thanks!
did you make that big dynasty league yet?
Clear, concise, clever content. This is great!
Awesome! I appreciate this! I’m gonna apply this in my current season. I’ve been losing recruits and it’s frustrating so maybe this will help. I’ll let you know!
awesome! hopefully it helps!
