Polo, hearing Chris's cover of James Brown's It's A Man's World will send you out of this world. To quote one of my favorite reactors "He takes a great song and makes another great song."
Oh Polo, if u havent heard this one yet...w😲w! Its Chris doing an impromptu performance of this James Brown song at a Shadowboxers concert he was attending. They asked him to come on stage & sing one with them (no rehearsal)...the rest is history 🤯 "It's a Man's World" ❤️🔥
I told my son that I wanted to go to a Chris concert for my birthday and I’m going! Dallas Oct 23! I’m so ready for my BDay! I’m ready Chris! ❤❤❤❤❤ ❤❤❤
The feeling he puts into every performance is the thing that sets him apart. I have not seen him miss on covers, collaborations or original material. Such a class act every time. Chris does an outstanding cover of Al Green's "I'm a Ram", you really need to give that a listen.
Dang, this is a great cover. If I had been Chris, I don't know if I could sing it with the writer sitting right in front of me, let alone get a standing ovation from him! RIP, Gregg.
Chris is the man, and I appreciate this fantastic performance. He more than does the song justice. I live in a world where I don’t have to choose between two great performances. The live at Fillmore East is easily in the top 5 live performances I’ve ever heard in my 66 years. Duane giving him a standing O is all you need to know about Chris Stapleton’s cover of the AB classic. ❤🔥🔥
The guy with the bald head on lead guitar with sunglasses was Joe Satriani i believe! (A GUITAR GOD & Virtuoso from the 80s! Hes chilled and backs a lot of people now including Orianthi!) Im pretty sure im right as Hes a Legend but just chills now and used to have ling curly hair and then went total shaved bald head. If its not him thenbthe guy is a VERY WELL KNOWN session Musician, but I think its Joe.. 🎸🏴🇬🇧
He does it for me, way over all❣️ He is blessed with a magical talent that can do any musically & more often than not, better than the original. ( If he's covering) He's just got that rare ability.
Chris Stapleton is always great to listen to. Keep going down the rabbit hole that is Chris Stapleton. The staple of reactors usually do Tennessee Whiskey, Starting Over, Cold, I Was Wrong, Fire Away and Death Row. All of which are great songs to react to. All show his run capabilities. He has a treasure trove of wonderful songs beyond those songs. Check out: I Ain't Living Long Like This (live) ((it's a remake of a Waylon Jennings song)) Daddy Doesn't Pray Anymore Maggie's Song Whiskey and You Whiskey Sunrise Just a few to give you a taste of Chris Stapleton.
Santana feat Chris Stapleton - Joy, can't imagine you won't enjoy. Another great Chris one is I was wrong. He also covered Metallica's nothing else matters, worth a listen
Wow. I finally decided to check out Chris Stapleton, there's been such talk around him lately, at least on the reactor level. Now I see why and I don't know why I was resisting, as I love good country and a strong gritty voice. He did an awesome job covering Whipping Post, which is what finally drew me in to check him out, as The Allman Brother's Whipping Post is a decades long favorite of mine. But I definitely need to check out more by Chris now. The live version of the Allman Brother's Whipping Post you need to check out would be at the Fillmore East. I also need to compare the two myself because Chris Stapleton, well, the whole band actually, was absolute 🔥🔥🔥, I was really surprised and impressed.
Think this is a band put together for this tribute event to the Allman Brothers. (Not Stapleton's band). Think several different artists performed. Noticed members of Little Big Town in audience. Greg Allman is in the audience. He is shown at the very end of the clip applauding and acknowledging the performance. (Blond guy with ponytail 😊).
If you haven't seen his live version of Its a Mans World. The one where he is in a club. Yeah Chris can sing anything and hes better live than in a studio. Great Reaction ❤❤❤
Polo, if you havent heard this one (Sometimes I Cry) live from the Bing Lounge. Prob my favorite original of Chris's...jaw dropping vocal performance 🤯❤️🔥 Just a man & his guitar. Dude. Wow.
Chris is absolutely Amazing. Hey the Home Free covering End of the Road and I think you would like Brook Benton singing Rainy Nights in Georgia. I don't believe there is a video of him but there is audio, and he is outstanding. I love your eclectic tastes. Thanks.
I think it has something to do with age. I grew up at the time of the Allman Brothers. So, even though this cover is nothing short of tremendous, it can not replace the original in my heart.
I’ve listened to the Allman brothers version my whole life, so this version is a little different. Both are absolutely awesome. I’d have to lean towards the original if I had to choose one, but that’s what I’ve heard my whole life. Another great cover by Chris is James Brown “It’s a Man’s World “. I don’t think that one was even planned. I heard he was just at the show and they brought him on stage. Anyway, great reaction, great song! Keep it up!
Thing about Chris that puts him head and shoulders above anyone on a Cover is he puts his own style on it WITHOUT trying to make it sound like the OG. WITHOUT ever taking away the SOUL.
BMFS!!!❤️🔥 @Polo, "Dust in a Baggie" is a good one to start with. It was my introduction to Billy Strings-He's sitting on a couch playing for friends before he got famous. It gives u a great idea of his guitar picking skills & what's to come. The second one into the rabbit hole I'd recommend is "Turmoil & Tinfoil" live version. Next, enjoy the ride! ❤
This is better than the Allman Brothers. My first husband was black and he used to play this song every morning before he went to work up as high as it would go. The Allman Brothers song. I know how it sounded. Chris Stapleton is better ‼️❣️😍 I'm now 70 years young.
The look on your face was fun to watch. You were seriously concentrating on every single note being played. This is the first time I've heard this version as well, superb!! Sometimes an artist will cover a song and simply take it to another level. Artists like Johnny Cash - Hurt (Nine Inch Nails) or Harry Nilsson - Without You (Badfinger). Definitely Check out the Harry Nilsson song!
I love Chris but I need Gregg Allmans voice..he did a great job but The Brothers did it on their 1st album a mere 19 yrs old and the live Fillmore East is killer..love that Gregg was there and gave it a standing ovation! Great music from 2 great artists 👍✌️
You asked a while back for suggestions of Country Music; here's my suggestions (Its a long list, but it will take you through country's history and hit lots of the biggest country songs): Waylon & Willie 'Mamas Don't Let Your Baby's Grow Up To Be Cowboys' Hank Williams 'I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry', 'Your Cheating Heart' Townes Van zant 'Pancho And Lefty' Jimmie Rodgers 'Blue Yodel #9' Roger Miller 'King of the Road' Marty Robbins 'El Paso' Alabama "Mountain Music' The Carter Family 'Can the Circle be Unbroken' Glen Campbell 'Gentle on my Mind' Porter Wagoner 'A Satisfied Mind' Lefty Frizzell "If You've Got the Money, I've got the Time' Kenny Rogers 'The Gambler' John Denver 'Country Roads', 'Rocky Mountain High', 'Leaving On A Jet Plane' Alison Kraus 'Whiskey Lullaby' Rascal Flatts 'Bless the Broken Road' Alan Jackson ' Amarillo By Morning' George Jones 'He Stopped Loving Her Today' Bill Monroe "Blue Moon of Kentucky' Johnny Paycheck 'Take this Job and Shove It' Merle Haggard 'Mama Tried' Willie Nelson 'Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain' 'On the Road Again' 'Angel Flying Too Close' The Highwaymen - pretty much anything :) Johnny Cash 'I Wear the Black' 'Ragged Ol Flag' Randy travis - again anything, but my favorites are 'He Walked On Water' and 'Horse Called Music' The Judds 'Rhythm of the Rain' and 'Grampa Tell Me Bout...'
You are absolutely positively right Chris stapleton's version is much much better than the original and I have always loved the Allman Brothers but Chris is in a class by himself and the man outdoes everything he sings
Both this and the studio version are awesome. There are live versions by the Allman Brothers Band. I liked them all better than the studio version. Maybe because I love live music performances.
The Allmans are a much better band than these guys. The groove on the original (the Fillmore East version) is much more sophisticated than this. But Chris sounds great, as usual.
wow! been a long time for me on utube. you pulled this out your a$$. 👏👏👏👏you get a chance, listen to the allman bros live at the Fillmore East. remember the technology then. many consider it the best live album all time. thanks bro👏👏👏
Polo u want an Allman Brothers tune that will make u happy and mellow every time u hear it for the next 20 years “Blue Sky” one of my top 10 songs of all time
Check out Tedeschi Trucks Band.. Midnight in Harlem live on E Town TH-cam.. Derek Trucks is one of the BEST slide guitarist. Also directly tied to the Allman Brothers Band.. Susan's soulful singing is beautiful as well..🤘
Chris was also part of a band out of Nashville if I remember correctly but he was lead singer of The Jompson Bros. Hope I spelled it right lol but they did some music in the series Sons of Anarchy btw my fav series ever lol
Don't know if you've done it, but the SNL performance of Sturgill Simpson singing Call to Arms is legendary... arguably the greatest SNL performance ever...you seem to love these live videos😊
THIS 66 YEAR OLD MUSIC LOVER CAN ONLY CONFIRM THE FACT THAT CHRIS STAPLETON CAN COVER ANYONE & EVERYBODY THAT HAVE RECORDED MUSIC FROM ANY GENRE IN MY LIFETIME & DO IT LIVE AS GOOD OR BETTER THAN THE ORIGINAL STUDIO RECORDING. PERIOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The part you missed was at the very end as everyone was clapping. Greg Allman was sitting in the front row. You'll see him standing at the very end of this video. Hey, it had to be good when there playing for the original artist.

Its Toolsday brah! whatcha got today??? Since you did bottom, my next pick would be Jerk-Off, super high energy banger!
You check out Stevie Ray Vaughan yet?
I garentee you Adam Jones could play this and anything else he wanted to.
Notice the standing ovation that Gregg Allman gave him at the end?
Never noticed. Glad that you pointed it out.
One thing I love about Chris when he covers something, it's truly a tribute. You can feel his love, respect and passion for the original.
I was going to mention the same thing.
Polo, hearing Chris's cover of James Brown's It's A Man's World will send you out of this world. To quote one of my favorite reactors "He takes a great song and makes another great song."

Chris is always 🔥
Chris has one of the BEST live voices ive ever heard, he sounds better than most people in a studio
I told my son that I wanted to go to a Chris concert for my birthday and I’m going! Dallas Oct 23! I’m so ready for my BDay! I’m ready Chris! ❤❤❤❤❤ ❤❤❤
You lucky, lucky, lucky, lucky, lucky bastard.
I’m in Spain. 😡
The feeling he puts into every performance is the thing that sets him apart. I have not seen him miss on covers, collaborations or original material. Such a class act every time. Chris does an outstanding cover of Al Green's "I'm a Ram", you really need to give that a listen.
Definitely check out "I'm a Ram"‼
Dude owns anything he steps on stage to do. It’s Nuts.
Dang, this is a great cover. If I had been Chris, I don't know if I could sing it with the writer sitting right in front of me, let alone get a standing ovation from him! RIP, Gregg.
Chris's live cover of Prince's "Nothing Compares to You' is fire🔥
I love Chris's baby runs that fall in one short note. Not many singers do that and sometimes, especially here, it's quite amazing and beautiful.
Chris is the man, and I appreciate this fantastic performance. He more than does the song justice. I live in a world where I don’t have to choose between two great performances. That's my baby...nobody can touch him..I have gone state to state to see him. His live voice is UNTOUCHABLE!!!
Ohhhh my goodness Chris Stapleton your voice is amazing an that isn't even good enough wow❤❤❤❤❤
Dang POLO! I’m 65 and Chris is sick! Thank you so much for finding this! Love it! Ppl say he’s country. Some say he’s soul. He’s simply CHRIS!❤

The Allman Brothers were in the crowd. You can see them at the end of the performance stand up clapping. They really appreciated this performance !
Chris Stapleton covering Metallica - Nothing Else Matters...a must listen.
Bro, they kilt this! Goosebumps! Crazy good!
Only you know what is most pleasing to your ears. I love all versions of this song.
Omg that gifted voice and music AAA GOAT
Chris Stapleton. "Nothing Else Matters" (Metallica cover ;-). Yup, another phenomenal cover. Too soon? Lol 😁😉😆❤️🔥
There’s nothing more satisfying than a very well executed live performance. Everyone shone there. Wonderful. Thanks for sharing!!
Santana feat Chris Stapleton - Joy, can't imagine you won't enjoy. Another great Chris one is I was wrong.

There isn’t a man alive who’s been married or has had a girlfriend that hasnt felt like he’s been “tied to the whipping post” what a song.
he knows His Voice !
This is Amazing!!!!!
I literally don't know anyone who doesn't like Chris Stapleton ❤
That horn section was a nice touch.
🎸💯 Chris Stapleton can ROCK OUT too‼🔥
Check out the Southern Rock group he was with - The Jompson Brothers‼☮ ❤ 🎶
I love this cover
Thanks, chat! I didn't know Stapleton covered this song, and now I'm very happy. (And thanks to you too Polo for listening to Chat...)
I enjoy your reaction videos! Chris Stapleton & his band are awesome.

Chris is the man!
Did you see the Allman Brothers in the audience???? WOW!!!! ❤❤ Singing that song in front of them! Just WOW! Standing ovation 👏
It's all called Southern Rock, but it's the Blues! Just the Blues
Chris is always fire 🔥
Chris can sing Happy Birthday and make it sound nasty. Love and respect, brother, hog fam Canada 🇨🇦 ❤
If you haven't seen his live version of Its a Mans World. The one where he is in a club. Yeah Chris can sing anything and hes better live than in a studio. Great Reaction ❤❤❤
His version of “Sometimes I Cry” is unbelievable
Polo, if you havent heard this one (Sometimes I Cry) live from the Bing Lounge. Prob my favorite original of Chris's...jaw dropping vocal performance 🤯❤️🔥 Just a man & his guitar. Dude. Wow.
PHENOMENAL
This was FIRE!! Thanks for sharing this. First time hearing Chris do this song. Great reaction!
Speaking from experience, when your playlist cycles from Primus to Chris Stapleton at a stop light, it gets some interesting looks from nearby cars.
This was pure perfection imo
Lol after watching you react to the original I was hoping to see you react to chris! I think he does an amazing job as usual! Great reaction brother!
Chris is absolutely Amazing. Hey the Home Free covering End of the Road and I think you would like Brook Benton singing Rainy Nights in Georgia. I don't believe there is a video of him but there is audio, and he is outstanding. I love your eclectic tastes. Thanks.

Agreed, it is 100% better than the original, I just can't stop listening to this version. Thanks for reacting.
They brought the "F"ing fire!!!!!!! I wish I could play like that too!!
This dude is the real deal. Mega talented. ❤ him!
Thank you! ❤

Amazing ! Boy can sing a song. I know you are loving Metallica Nothing Else Matters. Chris covers it vocals and lead guitar. It will rock your world!
Love some Chris Stapleton....But.... Nothing beats Allman Brothers themselves!
The Allman Brothers did this on their first album and also for LIVE at the FIllmore! Nice version but the Brothers where killer!!
Just imagine being in that room 💥 🤯
Wow! He's incredible 🎉
awesome
I don't remember if you have reacted to Chris Stapleton It's a Man's World cover of James Brown. It's awesome. It gave me chills.
Have you heard Billy Strings yet? If not, check out "Summertime - Billy Strings & Marcus King"

Not sure if any one noticed but that guy playing The slide guitar solo was also in a band called the jompson brothers with chris stapleton
This is better than the Allman Brothers. My first husband was black and he used to play this song every morning before he went to work up as high as it would go. The Allman Brothers song. I know how it sounded. Chris Stapleton is better ‼️❣️😍 I'm now 70 years young.

You have to react to Chis covering IT’S A MAN’S WORLD” live. CRAZY!
Both this and the studio version are awesome. There are live versions by the Allman Brothers Band. I liked them all better than the studio version. Maybe because I love live music performances.
It's been a few months since I've heard it but isn't the bass more prominent in the Allman Bros. version? I'll have to go listen.
I still prefer the original but Chris is a phenom.
The Allmans are a much better band than these guys. The groove on the original (the Fillmore East version) is much more sophisticated than this. But Chris sounds great, as usual.
Chris is something

The band was The Steeldrivers ;-)❤

I agree. N
Without the organ, it is impossible to effectively cover The Allman Brothers. They used the classic Hammond B-3.
And to do that in front of Greg Allman!
Greg Allman was in the crowd
He and his wife cover Waylon Jennings Amanda its awesome
