i have seen many good guitar players but this one is really a maestro i love steely dan music and this guy give them a very original flavor to the music.

Thank you! I love Rush but most of my solo guitar jazz covers are of shorter forms where I can play the basic melody and then improvise. Rush music is too involved, many sections, etc., and I'm just too lazy!
this is really nice. i just did the same, but with out the vocal melody, just all the lovely jeyboard voiceings and the horn section with a swell pedal. never thought of it like this.... :)

Jake, you're a master, maestro, killer-guitarist...of course....AMAZING musician, in general!!!!!!! My God, what an arrangement.....I can hear all the basic notes in "Babylon S.", but rhodes chords on original studio version make me - kind of "ineffective"!!!.....even if I caught and figured out bass playing, when I saw your video, and how you understand and so easily make your arrangement..... I decided to start working as a sanitation worker.....ALL THE BEST from Slovenia...!!!

Have you considered revisiting some of the tunes you uploaded years ago such as this one? I'd love to hear some of the older Steely Dan/Donald Fagen pieces on your new guitar and recording set up.

I have, in fact, a great TAB for this song! usually I don't write TABs because they take forever to do and because I have a much better product, my custom DVD lessons in which I show note for note how I play my arrangments. They usually run about 75 minutes and have closeups on the hands. Plus, if you do order a DVD, I'll throw in the TAB (8 pages). Please let me know if you'd be interested in learning more.

Thanks! Some of these older videos really bug me because of the video/audio quality but the arrangement itself is rather ok. BTW, I have a real nice widescreen DVD showing this arrangement in great detail. I know you're an accomplished guitarist yourself but I thought I'd mentioned just in case you may be interested...

Thanks for your question! It just so happens that I have a DVD lesson and TAB showing my arrangment in great detail. It is fingerstyle though, you will need some basic ability in that regard. Let me know if interested!
