I played a board with three complete randoms and it was so wholesome with the addition of stickers, can’t believe how seamless the online experience is this time around.
I played a game with randoms too. It was wholesome at first. Until Birdo rapidly became my most hated character in the game 🤣
Did you use the app for voice chat at all? I played a couple online and it was fun just would be a lot more fun if there was voice chat and I just assumed nobody uses it on the app since it’s such a hassle

Me and the three other players literally could not get passed a part in the mini game, we all kept falling it’s was so funny lol.
Pre ordered it and played it on launch with my friends. There were things said, stuff broken, fists being thrown, feelings hurt, and relationships destroyed. 10/10 finally a good mario party game after all these years highly recommend to use as a friendship test lol

Picked this game up as a family game and its great! The mini game selection is near perfect and online multiplayer runs very smooth. I hope Nintendo continues to support the game with updates and DLC.
Yeah I only had one instance with survival mode where someone definitely disconnected their internet in order to win xD other than that it’s solid.
I hope there is gonna be more Minigame modes, because they always get interesting. That’s one thing I would want from the DLC, and then of course the addition of extra minigames, unlockables and there are many great boards to add in

I'm willing to pay for DLC boards, but I'm not going to buy the game unless some get announced. Five boards just isn't enough, especially since I grew up with MP 4-7 and there is no Gamecube board representation in this game at all.

Can you play with randoms AND a friend? Like 2 friends and then 2 randoms? Or does it have to be all randoms?
@@jaimie7682 all random, sadly. No way for co-op via one console with randoms.
The only complaint I have is that the game needs like at least 1 or 2 more boards. That and having the ability to block out certain mini-games. Actually, a campaign could have been real nice like the older mario parties where you could unlock certain boards and mini-games by doing certain things. Other than that, this is the best mario party we've had in awhile.

It seems Nintendo finally learned how important an online mode is for the Mario Party series. You can actually play every single game mode online! There are only a few game modes that can only be played with friends and not with strangers.
It is so good. They can even add DLC to give more mini-games, or boards! Or, in my wildest dreams, to be able to choose between item/capsule systems. Like just give me MP6/7's capsule system back, or classic MP3 items back.
To be honest though, the meat minigame was awesome and it was really creative with how it uses the motion controls

This game is everything I've ever hoped for with a new Mario Party game, 9/10. I would give it 10/10 if they let you select handheld Mario party games as your favorite (Mario Party Advance, Mario Party DS, Mario Party Star Rush, Mario Party Top 100). I grew up playing Mario Party DS and it's still my favorite game. I think Mario party Superstars is a fantastic addition to the series!

I agree with you! I never got to play Mario Party in handheld mode but I have seen videos of other people playing it and it looks a lot of fun. I also wish they had more boards for you to choose from as well as more games because there are a lot in the series and that's including the ones in handheld systems.

Anybody remember Dust Buddies from Mario Party DS. That was a minigame i wish would return.
We would literally boot up the DS Wireless Connect just to play that vaccum mimigame over and over.

Hey Wood. Just wanted to let you know that you actually CAN actually play online with 3 other random players. You just need to select the online mode, and hop into the pipe. Other then that, amazing video!!
This is very important. Pretty much the only reason why I would buy this game.
Really? The only options I had was to create a room or join a room, but both needed a room ID. There's no way to search for rooms, that I know of?

You can play boards with random people online! You just have to select online mode, and then go down the green pipe (not the friends house). We got everything!! 😍
I’ve only played one round of this game so far and it was against cpus, but man I love it, they finally got Mario Party right again, can’t wait to dig in more.
I played this game with my once it came in the mail! We've had lots of fun and it also brought back memories of me playing the series on the N64 & GC. I like the way they redid the graphics of the games & characters and not only that, how you can play with your friends online as well. I also like how the character you use when you use your Mii character to where if you play on someone else's file it can take yours over to your own file of what you've won so you can buy things without starting all over again from the beginning. They should have done this in the very beginning instead of brining out the Super Mario Party game. I still like it but the new party game is more fun & better. Just the way Mario Party was when it first started!

I'm a little sad they threw out the motion controlls minigames. I think minigames are the perfect thing for wacky motion controlls. But it's alright. The games that I've played so far are great! :)

I loved this version of Mario party my only thing that keeps it perfect is I wish it had more characters to choose from like boo, goomba, Bowser and Bowser Jr, or koopa troopa, and toad would have been nice to have in it. Hopefully maybe dlc later on but I hate dlc I rather have it all physical.
Boo steals stars. Goomba is a sub host. Bowser junior hosts item minigames. Bowser is the main villain as always

I get it just saying it would be nice to have them in it. No matter there roles or how many games they been in. It's just a party game to enjoy with family. I personally like Bowser Jr and boo in any of the games but thats my opinion that would have made this a perfect game for me.

I SOOOOO CANNOT AGREE MOAR WOOD! I was SOOOOOOOOOO Disappointed with Mario party, but when superstar came out me and my bro’s were hyped. I remembered we played the games so much back then we broke the controllers multiple times and had to purchase new ones as children.

To outsell Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Mario Party Superstars needs: one DLC with 3 new boards, 5 new characters and 2 new modes... Endless turns is already in the game.
MPS has really impressed me. It’s what fans have been asking for for years and the only changes I’d want are some different minigame choices or some more customization options
