7.62x39 was always held back by the subpar ammo. That stuff is awesome and real SHTF material. Based on the gel brilliant for SD and hunting
Mhmm
Too much fragmentation for me to say it is a good hunting round. I don’t like picking lead out of my meat.
@@nojoeoutdoors4623 same, but good for two legged fellas
@@saltyseatv5904 indeed
Its just as trash as the surplus lol that average spread is on par with tula. This is why everyone claims the AK is not an accurate rifle. Green box barnual sure proved that wrong. Average spread was about 8fps . That ammo hit nearly the same hole . This PSA stuff is straight junk but ill take it ... that's all we got
Actually really good results! I’m impressed by PSA
Yep
I think their ammo is far more impressive than their guns. They’re doing a good job of lowering ammo costs from the other manufacturers
You’ve helped me decide on so many ammo choices I’ve made 😂
😎👊
The same here for me as in ammo choices...always what you see is what you get results with Tools ammo testing
YES!!! Finally, I've been waiting for my main Man Tools to get this new PSA black tip 7.62x39 and chrono it and give us some testing on this new offering. Hell yeah brother 🐐
💥😎👊💥
I bought a few hundred rounds of each so I’m excited to see the results since I have not shot either yet. Thank you.
Good buy.😎👊
Interesting performance in gel. I suspect the projectile is a not a VMAX, but a Hornady SST.
Sounds about right.😎👊
Agreed.
Exactly for the weight of the bullet it matches the Hornady SST.
Just coming to post that. Looks like PSA did a great job here.
Realistically there's almost no difference
~80% weight retention on that bullet is good hunting ammo. I am not so sure about the steel cased ammo, even though I have both Tula and Silver Bear on hand. If the price is significantly better than PPU, I might consider adding it to my stockpile.
👍👍
😎👊
PSA is really making a name for themselves the past couple years. Great test as usual brother.
One thing I never see mentioned, but thatI REALLY appreciate is tge incredibly precise editing. Thanks
Appreciate that. It takes me a while to edit out all of my ranting and raving between scenes.😂
It's not smokey like the comblock stuff. How about a 100yd accuracy test?
I can tell you it was absolutely stacking rounds on the 100 yard steel.
Excellent !
Nice!!! Not nearly the fragmentation I was thinking either. I don’t mind the penetration. Devastating out of either length barrel but that 16” wound track is impressive. Great test good sir! 👍🇺🇸🇺🇸
Thank you sir.😎👊
Awesome test! These performed as good as I hoped they would, and a little better than I expected. I would be very curious to see you test the Hornady Black 7.62x39. I’ve read rumors that PSA uses the 123 grain Hornady SST projectiles with a black tip. I want to see how similar they perform
I think they may actually be the Nosler 123gr Varmageddon bullets, but either way, this will be a big step forward for 7.62x39 defensive ammo.
I'm pretty sure I have some Hornady loaded SST.😎👍
I would like to see it side by side compared with these!
Yes please
I know if they are getting there bullet from Hornady the only 7.62x39 round they sell with a ballistic tip is the SSR...I'd say they changed the tip for PSA.the 300 black out is a 308 diameter bullet so is 308 win the 7.62x39 is a 310-311 diameter bullet..so in my guess those are the SST
😎👊
What kind of accuracy do they get? Making me think about changing my budget
Thanks for being the first one to put a video out on the chronograph and the ballistic jelly test
Impressive results! Thanks for the jelly test Tools!
Great results. Thanks for posting!
Another great review. Your reviews are done so consistently. Velocity, jelly time & weight retention. They are very informative and well done. Thanks for what you do!
I love when you shoot the AK's, they always bounce the gel so much, especially in the slo-mo. Great test T!
SOOO glad you did this particular one. Was even thinking about sending you a couple of boxes for the testing.
Thank you!!!
😎👊
Another awesome review. Thanks for doing these!
Going to pick up some of those, thanks for the testing, i enjoy watching all your tests.
Who love AK platform
⬇️
🙋♂️
These are great freedom seeds from AAC. Another great test brother tools.
Thank you sir.😎👊
Awesome round, another great video, keep them coming brother!
Surprisingly good performing ammo. Keep up the good work!
I would like to see more barrier testing with the entire sabre blade line up.
Great videos as always! Loving the jelly testing, no other channel does it quite like you! Keep up the good work. Also I would love to see you test some ammo from G9 Defense.
Thank you sir. I've had a few people ask about those. I need to grab some.
Excellent defense and hunting ammo. Perfect expansion and penetration. I prefer the 16.5" barrel for the higher velocity and sight radius. Thanks for another great review.
Another good test! The only 7.62x39 ammo ive had fragment like a varmint bullet is the tula HP 124. All the rest have come out like these almost exactly...expanded, held together mostly, and penetrated well. Thanks for another good one
Thank you sir.😎👊
Great test! I had been waiting and was excited to see what the results would be.
😎👊
That stuff looks great, thanks for the test
762 is notorious for penetration vs fragmentation where the 556 shines. This ammo performed very well imo for 762. I love my Sabre black tip in 300blk. Will probably pick some of this up too
I don't presently have any AK's but I have a Ruger American 7.62x39 that's a tack driver and an old Colt Sporter with a factory 7.62x39 upper. I'll order some of this ammo from PSA. thank you for your testing
That's awesome! Great video as always thanks! Your the man! I like these time to rotate!
I love it that aac finally came through on those 762x39 rounds. Im even more excited it’s in a black tip. lol. Can’t wait to buy them. Hope the price doesn’t go crazy when they are back in stock. 😮😮
That wound channel out of the 16” barrel looks pretty good. My defensive 7.62x39 go-to rounds are the SST and the great, unattainable 8M3.
😎👊
Another great video. Keep em coming brother 👍
I hope they continue to come out with good products. Definitely be putting in an order.
They both performed well! 👍🏻 Thanks Tools!
😎👊
That's some really nice expansion.
Yessir 😎👊
@ToolsandTargets Do you think that the Sabre ammo is similar to the steel cased SST ammo that Hornady used to make?
@@Oldman650 Possibly. I think I have some x39 SST I need to test.
You're the man i asked and received awesome review. Can't wait to try this in my ak104
Excellent ammo thanks great stuff 👍
The earlier part you mentioned while shooting long range that they were pretty much stacking on top of each other for groupings. Sounds like really good ammo.
Great video. I picked up 1000 rounds of this stuff. Gonna keep it stored away for a "rainy day" PSA gets all my business
Nice, AAC Sabre blade some good performing ammo. Massive energy dump. Good for vaporizing melons and soda pops lol. I thought maybe some more fragmentation. I remember those .223 going to pieces. Great video and commentary. A+ test there Tools. Thanks for sharing and be safe. ⭐️⭐️🇺🇸⭐️⭐️
That is what I am talking about. Looking good for the house or the woods
Awesome ammo! I own 3 AK's and a SKS. I will buy some of this when I can find it...Good video Tools..!!!
Just bought 60 rounds thanks to you! Awesome stuff as always!
😎👊
Good stuff. Love that pappy!
Tools, i like this ammo. I have a BCA AR762 with a 16" barrel. Love that wound channel on it and it was hitting the target way out there.
I can't wait to try it out on my Sam7K
Wow it performed pretty good my first thought is good ranch round for coyote, hogs with that quick energy dump my second thought is that's a wicked defence round it adds variety to 7.62x39 capabilities another perfect test thank you
Yessir. I like it.
These go a little on the deep side but the expansion, fragmentation, and damage in the gel indicates they would be effective. It also seemed to be pretty accurate from your PSA GF3. 👍
I agree with the others claiming these bullets are the SST. From testing I have done with the Hornady bullets, these do seem very similar to the SST.
Keep up the excellent work. Thank you
😎👊
Thanks for making this video!
😎👊
This is my new go to ammo because of this video.
Really nice stuff!
Great permance in both barrel lengths. I briefly considered an 11" or 14" CZ Bren 2 to complement my Norinco SKS and Polytech AKS 762 and then cheaped out because of ammo costs and got a CZ Scorpion 3+ w/7.8" barrel instead. I have always liked the 762 x 39 since I got my first one 35 years ago. Nice guns you got there T&T.
Thank you sir.😎👊
I’ve been interested in those rounds and now I’m going to have to buy!
Been waiting on this one. Good ammo for my ruger American and deer hunting. That’s more like an SST. Nice!
I agree with some of the other comments about it being a SST bullet with a black tip which is still a great bullet
You were right, Tools. Those earlier tests looked more like A-Max rounds. These look much better. Great varmint cartridge. 👍
Good to see the 7.62X39 being supported there are a lot of guns out there chambered for this round. The supply of 5.56 and 7.62X39 ammo seems to be getting low in my local stores.
Was waiting to see this review thanks
Nasty stuff.😎👊
Another Great Video💯Thank you for Sharing 💥💥💥💥💥💥💥
Should work very well if SHTF. Even extremity wounds should be totally debilitating. Going to have to get a few boxes to satisfy a few empty mags.
As someone who recently got into guns just bought a Ruger sub compact and an SKS I appreciate what your channel provides. Im subscribed
What are SKS going for nowadays?
@@Sumtingwong658 I got my Yugo SKS for $250(basically a steal) from a friend but they are normally $699 to $899 I swapped the stock 10 rnd clip for a 30 rnd archangel detachable magazine
More than 2 thumbs up today brother I've been waiting on this one thank you very much
😎👊
That's pretty good stuff. Thanks for testing it for us.
I was surprised at the expansion and penetration. I agree that round will get the work done.
Wow! Im actually very impressed with that, and idea if youlle ever do a video on the aac sabre 300 blackout rounds? Im a huge fan of the sabre 220 black tips they make, very accurate. Would love to see what they do in a block, ive been shootin em in a 14 inch scout pistol.
I love that PSA is making steel case 7.62x39
Thank you sir. Love that 7.62x39
😎👊
Scored a battle pack each of the black tip and the FMJ for range use. Looking fw to the outcome from ur evaluation. Tks a lot 👍🏼
Good test , 🙏
I have to pick up some of that. For better results in my AKs and Ace I need to use Nosler, Hornaday, and Underwood etc. I have one AK that doesn’t like brass so she gets exclusively steel case
Good performance from them in both length barrels 👍🇺🇸
Good to see, been wondering about this ammo. 👍
😎👊
Enjoyed It, that second round looks like It hit hard, Thx Bro-B.👍🇺🇸
Yessir. Caused the jelly to grow a tumor.😆
Been waiting on this one. Thats a spicy round. I’m putting this in mags tonight. Thanks bud
Good stuff for sure.😎👊
Very great test. I like this vmax type ammo.
I don't own a 7.62x39 now but this would be the ammo for defense. Pretty wicked stuff. Out of the 10in it really rocked that gel block. Very nice! 👍🙏💥
Yessir. x39 is some good stuff.
Looks like a good bullet for several uses
Honestly it's kind of nice that they retained a lot I know the Hornady I've never been able to capture a projectile with shooting the that specific round from horndaddy
Finally, thanks for the video
😎👊
Been waiting on this one!!!
💥😎👊💥
Excellent testing as always. 👍 I'm gonna have to go back and watch the 5.56 video and see what happened. 👊
Thank you sir.😎👊
Nice shooting with those iron sights Tools. Interesting ammo for sure.
Be vigilant and always be safe my friend.
Thank you sir.😎👊
This ammo worked very well. I may need to look into some of it.
😎👊
Nice test. Those round are no joke for sure. Good performance from those rounds.
They would make a mess of something.😎👊
@@ToolsandTargets for sure.
Good video 👍
I wanted to make sure production stayed for these. Got 500 rounds. Now I'm very happy i did.
😎👊
Looks like some serious ammo thanks Tools God Bless.
😎👊
PSA/AAC does it again! 😲
Out of stock right now, but something I'll add to my "gotta get some" list!
Great vid!
💥👍💥
💥😎👊💥
PSA has been coming out with some great products. I've picked up a lot of AAC in multiple calibers, it's hard to beat the price and so far it's been reliable and accurate. I suggest stocking up on it when it's available on their daily deals and sales.
😎👊
Thanks for the video Daddy 👍🏻
😎👊
I handloaded a LOT of Hornady Zombie Max Z39 ( green Amax ) and they are fantastic bullets out of the AK or out of my AR47 😁👍
Do they still sell the green zombie tip ones or some you've had for a while?
Nice video brother! Keep up the content 💪
😎👊
I use hornady black 7.62x39 sst for deer inside 100 and love it-but they are pricey and can be difficult to find. I might try some of these!
