    I’m not sure if the video quality is actually bad, or if my internet is just bad where I’m at right now lol. If it doesn’t play in HD for you guys let me know and I’ll re-upload this when I have better connection. Thank ya 🤠

    Your videos have been great, very great at the communication. If you travel, keep sharing as you are just easy to follow as you explain whatever you do in great detail. Could only imagine the travels. Good luck wherever things take you.

    If someone living in the truck does that make them homeless

    Gotta get the quad or 8 plex and rent it out! Or buy your own o/o truck for like 25k.

    Love watching all your videos man, they’re very insightful and help a lot. Thinking about applying to Melton after the holidays and grind it out for a year and pay off debt and your videos have helped me. So thank you. The only hard part would be being away from my gf and our home for so long but figured we can both suck it up since I’m not doing trucking rn, not making too much and I payed 7k for trucking school lol. Remember, we only got one life to live brother, you’re very young and tomorrow is not promised. Take it one day and decision at a time. That’s how I’ve been doing it since I left the military 2 years ago and you never know, you may fall in love with a different profession or lifestyle that’ll make you content. You have a solid head on your shoulders from what I have seen and wish you nothing but the best of luck in your future journeys. If no one then atleast I know I’ll be waiting here if you continue documenting for us.

      Thank you, I appreciate it man! And yeah Melton is a solid company to drive for, and if you want to work hard and save up money this is a good place to do it. Its not always easy staying out, especially with a gf and a home (I would imagine), but you can find a balance for sure. Or just go hard and grind out 6mo-1yr with little home time to get ahead on the debt. Best of luck with whatever you decide!

      I think you should keep stacking. You’re younger than you might think. Late 20’s early 30’s is still plenty young if you’ve got your money and finances squared away. You’ll thank yourself for it I promise. Keep grinding young king

    Hey man how's it going? i worked for melton truck lines when i first started out in 2021. I was only there from April till September. Nothing but good things to say about the company but flatbed just wasn't for me. so in the end it worked out for me because i was able to get some sort of experience before moving on. safe travels dude👍

    I don't know how new you are but don't take to long off because most companies want 5 to 6 money Previous experience if you go too long then you will have to redo your training over

  • @phillipbaritone3843

    Start a Roth IRA, build a portfolio, and invest 20-30 percent of income, save an additional 20 percent, and then use credit for travel and expenses. Trash your debit card, don’t even use it. You’ll be on your way then. Honestly work work work, expand when and where you can- you have to build some solid money and then spend (invest, with calculated risk) in order to earn more. But the only way is to work. I’d be interested to learn what your new income is stacked up with OTR with melton. OTR isn’t for everyone but if you just soldiered through with it another 18 months or so you could have even more to fall back on.

    I really appreciate the effort you put into your content.
    I’d like to know, is there a reason why you chose Melton truck line over other companies? Is it because they have better pay/benefits, or because they have a better training program than other companies?

    Maybe check out costa rica. Cheap flights down there and good place to explore. Saving up money is a good goal. It took me a couple years in construction work to save up 50k like you wanted to. After I hit that number, I was sort of like meh, just numbers in a bank account. Not really fulfilling at all except for hitting my goal, but good in case of emergency expenses and for the future I suppose, even though you still have to worry about inflation and your stock holdings. I sort of did the opposite of what you want to do. I travelled on and off in my early 20's to foreign countries, working and saving up and travelling as I could afford it. What you're doing is way smarter. You figured out a great job that can allow you to take time off to travel, and also you have a good base to go from, always have a solid trucking job to come back to. But heck I bet you could even figure out something better that would work for you like that travel photography. Maybe even try modelling or something bro, no homo but you're too attractive to be a trucker.

    • @ianelbert
      @ianelbert  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for the suggestion, I’ll probably start off by going around Latin America so Costa Rica could definitely make the list! It’s nice knowing I can come back and get a solid driving job if I want to/ need to. And I looked into modeling a long time ago but they don’t usually make much money, so driving it is haha.

      Oat meal, ramen noodles, protein bars, sandwiches, and the wraps from loves are pretty good. That’s what I stick to most of the time, but sometimes your only decent option is fast food so I’ll get that every once in a while.
